Using A Web Access Database - Get An Error From The LoadAllLanguage Function: 'does Not Support URL Formats'?

I am writing a small project which first reads all the access database's in a web directory and shows the database names in a combobox.
When the user select one of the names, the system connects to the database in question (still in the web directory), and shows the database contents.I have tried the following code:

Problem is I get an error from the LoadAllLanguage function: 'does not support URL formats'

I have a program (below) which runs an SQL query on an Access database to bring back records based on the date a user selects. This issue seems to be that US date formats are the only date formats that SQL queries accept. I may be wrong, but this is my understanding. All my dates in the database are in EU date format (dd/mm/yyyy). What happens when i run my code is that I can not access a record with the date of 08/05/2010 unless the input date is 05/08/2010.

I would like to ask if you guys know how to convert 1 to 00001? For example, I have an item in my database with an ID of 00001. When I add another item again, it must increment already to 00002. But when I try adding one, the next ID saved is just 2. The zeros aren't on the left side.
The code is shown below

The output in the database after the 00025 is 26 up to 50 only. If I add another again, it's just another 51-75 only. I can't seem to save it on a format like the 1st series of ticket number that I've added directly on the database with the format of 00001-00025.

As you can see, I want to initialize a database connection and return it so I can use it in my forms. This function is in a module and my variables are as follows:

Public cmd As OleDbCommand
Public dr As OleDbDataReader
But I'm not sure how I can use this in my forms, do I just call the function DBConnection and then proceed with my SQL statements? Also, I need some opinions. My application relies on a MS Access database. Is it better to initialize the connection on Form_Load and then close the connection when the user closes the program, or open and close the connections as the queries are run? I'm planning to use some database queries on multiple forms hence the reason I was putting it into a module, but I'm not 100% on how I should proceed with this.

Im trying to use DateTimePicker function and save the date to an access database. Everything is working somewhat how I want it to but not 100% yet. Here is my problem. When the program is running if I click on the datetimepicker and select a date and click my save button the date IS saved to my access database as it should.
but if i run the program and don't ever click on the datetimepicker (because it is already on the correct current date) and click my save button the date doesn't get saved to the access database. The closest I have gotten was to enable the ShowCheckBox option, If i run the program this way and select the check box but dont select a date then it will save the date to my db.
But I really need it to be able to save the date to the db without the user ever clicking on the datetimepicker. Is it just a simple line I'm missing? Im pretty new to this but Ill try to explain anything the best I can if you have any further questions for me.

I am using vb to make a hospital system which works with a access database. i am having an issue with the updating function to the database, this time round instead of hard codding the connection i used the connection/data source wizard, in microsoft visual studio 2008 and there fore most of the code has been auto generated for me, which includes the insert, delete and update funtions from what i can find and what i have read vb is ment to also auto generate this which it is not. the funny thing is that i can close the program down and reload it (as long as i haven't opened the database) and my changes are still there but if i go and open the database and it hasn't changed. also i can change the database through the use of the Dataset connections in the datasource tab but not int he program the code ive found and believe that is meant to update the database
This is running off a couple of buttons i also have a update query but have know way of accessing it

The line that generates the error is " Set rstLogin = New ADODB.Recordset". I had a coworker compile it from his Windows 7 pc and run it on other machiens and it works fine. So I believe it's an issue with my pc config.

I am making a simple program that allows a user to add and delete contacts from a database. Whenever I try to delete a contact that was created in a previous session (by session, I mean time that I ran and then ended the program), it is fine, but when I try to delete a contact created in the same session, it says: "Concurrency violation: the DeleteCommand affected 0 of the expected 1 records." here is the code for the delete button: [code] I noticed that, since the error does not happen on a new session, that if I added the code that happens at the form_load, I could fix the issue.

My windows application was written in vb.net and i recently added a web service to it so that I could place the access database in it and connect to it via the web server. I've been succesful in receiving data when doing select statements; however, I'm stuck when trying to do a simple insert statement to it.
