VB6 Copy Array Auto-CAD?
Oct 14, 2011
I'm in the process of transfering our VBA AutoCAD script to VB.NET but i came across a warning. VB.net 2010 give me a warning that this code is obsolute, and probally won't work with 64 bit.The program needs to be 64 compatibel because of the problems with our vba file and AutoCAD 2012 & Windows 7 X64. What do i need to use instead of VB6.CopyArray?
If Flipline = True Then
P1 = VB6.CopyArray(Endpoint)
P2 = VB6.CopyArray(Beginpoint)

I have successfully constructed several one-dimensional arrays and correctly passed them to an output subroutine. I am trying to pass/copy the values of each array to an Excel spreadsheet, but have encountered 2 problems.
Problem 1: The program fails on the following line: outSheet1.Range("B2").Resize(passFile1IndMax + 1).Value = passFile1Amount with the error message: "Value does not fall within the expected range"
Problem 2: When commenting out this line (and the corresponding one for passFile2Amount), the program no longer fails, however, the results show 8 rows (passFile1IndMax and passFile2IndMax both = 7) of the same data (e.g., A2:A9 all = 3/1/2011 = passFile1Date(0))--the first item in each array.I am trying to avoid looping through each index value and assigning values on a cellby-cell basis. I'm trying to copy an array starting at a specific based on the number of variables I have. I have the program give me the number of variables. What I need is to copy the original array, UnsortedArray, start at the index of var + 1. I have tried the Array.Copy and Array.CopyTo, but I get the error that my new array, UnsortedNumArray, is used before it has a value.I know I've mostly overlooked something. Could you please point me in the right direction? [code]

unfortunately I cannot resort to C# in my current project, so I'll have to solve this without the unsafe keyword.I've got a bitmap, and I need to access the pixels and channel values directly. I'd like to go beyond Marshal.ReadByte() and Marshal.WriteByte() (and definitely beyond GetPixel and SetPixel).Is there a way to put all the pixel data of the bitmap into a Byte array that works on both 32 and 64 bit systems? I want the exact same layout as the original bitmap, so the padding for each row (if it exists) also needs to be included.Marshal doesn't seem to have something akin to:
byte[] ReadBytes(IntPtr start, int offset, int count)
Unless I totally missed it..

I am trying to copy an Array(of Class) to another Array(of Class). The Class really just holds 3 values together, so it's basically a string. I thought just something like this would work
[Code]....
But that literally makes Array1 access the contents of 2, but I want it to be a separate copy. I'm currently using a simple loop procedure to copy contents but I was hoping there was a command for it. I looked at .Item but there didn't seem to be anything there.

I want to know how can I possibly copy a table with multiple columns and rows into an Array or Collection in VB.NET.I want to know the best solution because I want to use the code for 2 different tables and do some comparisons, and the second table has too many records.I was wondering if in VB.NET there is something similar to Hashmap used in java and a table could look like the following

I have a string containing many lines. Each line has many values separated by commas. Basically it's in CSV format. The number of lines is variable but the number of columns is always 7.
I can get each line into a one dimensional array using Split(Var, Chr(10)).
I'd like to make it a two dimensional array where the second dimension contains each comma separated value.
I've got
Dim VarArray1() As String = Split(VarText, Chr(10))
Dim VaryArray2(0 To VarArray1.Length - 1, 0 To 6) As String
Is there a quick way to get the contents of VarArray1 into VarArray2. I know I can do the following.
For Counter = 0 to VarArray1.Length - 1
Dim line as string = VarArray1(Counter)
Dim Values() as string = Split(line, ",")
For Counter2 = 0 to 6
VarArray2(Counter,Counter2) = Values(Counter2)
Next Counter2
Next Counter
But is there a quicker way to do it that doesn't require passing through each element of VarArray1 and then passing through each element of Values.
The eventual goal in all of this will be to find the highest value in the 3rd column (the arrays are strings at this point because not all columns are numeric). To do that once I get the values into VarArray2 I suspect I have to pass through each element VarArray2, i.e. VarArray2(Counter,2). Unless I can copy the whole third column into a SortedList?

The situation is like this, says:I have textbox1 to textbox20 to show real-time reading, then textbox21 to textbox40 for other purpose. So textbox1-20 can be manage in group through: For index As Integer = 1 To 20 Form1.Controls("Textbox" & index).BackColor = SystemColors.Window Next The problem is, after some time i feel i like to change the order or add/delete few textbox, then i need to change the control name one by one by entering the name by hands(says if i add a text box then its name will be textbox41, then then For loop wont work, Or I deicided to delete the textbox15, forloop wont work either, then i need to rename them manually.)
Question: If there a ways that create a control array in VB 2008 express edition? which can set the name of Textbox1-20 to ButtonGroup then refer to them by says Buttongroup(1) for textbox1? (which means set a group of control in one name)
