I was wondering if i have multiple emulated mouse devices created already can I have a window that accepts WM_INPUT messages be sent messages as if it was from a specific emulated mouseFor instance, I have mouse device 1 (not system mouse device but the extra one) installed but wish to receive messages from it and the system mouse still and be able to send messages that appear as if they are coming from that device.Is that scenario possible?I can provide hardware specific information if need be because its just a generic mouse device and report descriptors are provided at usb.org for them. I know what the input report is going to contain i just need to send it as if it comes from a specificmouse device.

EDIT: Every algorithm I've found online using HttpWebRequest gets the returning page from the other site and outputs it with Response.Write. I want to navigate to the new page posting the data and leaving the current page completely.

I need to write a quick function that sends two data items back to the UI thread... with the post/send commands I only see the ability to send one piece of information. Is there a way to do this by overriding these functions?

It works great: .Open the URL, then .SetRequestHeader (however many are needed) and then .Send the body. The .Send method makes the actual connection and sends everything to the server at once.How to I emulate this behavior in .NET? The examples I've tried with System.Net.HttpWebRequest open a stream with .GetRequestStream() and then write the body to the stream. Unfortunately, the server is responding immediately to the .GetRequestStream method and therefore never sees the POST body.I am obviously trying to connect up some legacy stuff here, but am having a hard time Googling the problem or finding another approach in .NET.

I have written a vb.net desktop application for pipe collectors and one of the requests that seems popular is to be able to post pipe details (text) and an image of the pipe onto the user's facebook wall.
Basically the user will bring up their pipe details of choice and be able to click a 'Post To Wall" button which would then post the pipe details onto their wall.
I manged to figure out how to send a message using a TCP such as text message, but how will a regular file be transported? Such as .txt .img Will i have to trasnform the file into a binary code and then compile it on users side? I never worked with the TCP. Now that I think of it how does a file get transported when you download from a server? Like bytes?

What do those mean exactly ? Hwnd is the main window's hwnd or the child? Lparam and Wparam are pointers? How you get them from an external application? How you set Wmsg to send a string?
So im trying to allow the user to send a message to an application on a server telling it to do different things. So i build the client and the server side applications and tested them on my computer and another computer here. Everything worked great, just like i wanted it to.
When I moved the server application to the actual server and tried connection via the internet, it did not work. I got the error message: An error has occured : A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond IPADDRESS:PORT
Well then I realized chances are a VPN connection to my server and using my servers name instead of my servers IPADDRESS would fix this problem, which it did.
I dont want to require the user to have to create a VPN connection, i dont really care reather they use the IPaddress or not, although if theres a fix for that too it would be great. Heres my code: (I have marked where the error occured)

View 6 RepliesI'm writing a program that will scan a barcode from a serial scanner and store the information in a MySQL database.
In the program I would like to check for when the scanner is not working. If it's not working then send me an email. I set a variable called MessageBody which sets the body of the email that is going to be sent. The subroutine is called EmailError(). So I can call it in other subroutines. I would like to take a variable or something and put it in the Message body so I can have a dynamic message body and not a static boring one.
