I have never used VBS script before but I would like to use it to launch a Citrix WI page and to login in to the website.I have using XenApp5.0 FR2 with WebInterface 5.2.I have this script but this does not work on login, I can open the website but then I get an error:

View 10 RepliesI made a program were the user enters their username and password and then they click a button and it will launch the default web browser and sign them in but for some reason it only works in Google Chrome and FireFox. It opens Internet Explorer but it doesn't go to any page it just has a white page and no text in the address bar.Here is the code i am using to launch the browser:

We are running XP workstations in an Active Directory domain. I used gpedit.msc to setup a startup script that launchs Spy++. This works, and just before the login screen comes up, Spy++ pops up. The only problem is, the Spy++ window then goes away just before the login window loads.
I want to use Spy++ to find the attributes of the XP (Active Directory) login window. Is there a way to do this?
I have a legacy application that has an interactive graphical user interface, but also periodically checks for files in a directory and reacts to the files. I want to launch the application from a VB program, but not see the GUI (i.e., just let the file interface do it's thing). I really don't want to see the application running on the desktop at all (e.g., no windows, nothing on taskbar), the only evidence would be if I checked task manager I'd see it running.
Obviously this app would be ideally a service, but that's not where we are and I can't change it so I'm trying to simply not see the GUI.
I've seen the ProcessStartInfo.CreateNoWindow and WindowStyle = hidden flags but they don't hide the GUI of the legacy app.
again launch the legacy app (actually an unmanaged C++/MFC app) from a VB managed admin app.

View 1 RepliesI developed a very simple little windows program in VB 2005 to be used on desktops here at HQ. It reads a table from an Oracle DB into an array, let's the user select a text file, and then uses that data and text file to create an Excel spreadsheet.
Now they want a remote user to have access to it. We use Citrix for our remote application access. There is no install, I just copy the code to the Citrix server so I didn't need to put terminal server in install mode. When I am on the Citrix server, the application runs well. When I access the application through Citrix, I get an Oracle error from the ODBC data manager: Data source name not found and no default driver specified.
Does anybody know what is going on? how to make it work?
Are there any papers related to Windows applications on Citrix server that can help?

gets an error when I try to make an executable file out of this program and run it via citrix server.
The error is, the executable file won't run at all. When I try to run this locally, there are no errors at all.
I have a treeview dragdrop event written in VS2003. It works perfectly fine when the application is running on desktop, until we move the application to Citrix. So, users are now running it off from Citrix, the DragDrop event doesn't work anymore. It doesn't even have the effects of allowing dropping.

View 3 RepliesI am connecting to Citrix database using SQL-defined ODBC. Having a problem with it. I am updating an existing application that uses the ODBC in SQL, and it connects fine. However, that database connection is secured, only available on the production side. The test side has a remote connection. I am attempting to change the remote connection values to match the parameters of the SQL-based ODBC, but the labels are different, and it doesn't seem to match. Specifically, I don't think I'm getting the DataSource correct. Also, it can't find the username and password that I use to log into the remoter connection - I get an error message "Invalid authorization specification".

Basically, it works improperly when try to log in on one web-site (Forex Trading Social Network | Online Forex Trading Forum and Social Networking Site). I am working with Visual Studio 2010 Professional. I created a simple WebBrowser trying to access the indicated web-site. The problem begins. Well, the website loads, but when you go to the login page (Forex Trading Social Network | Online Forex Trading Forum and Social Networking Site) and try to log in, it doesn't work. I mean, when I enter the login details the login page just refreshes itself and the login wasn't proceed. The same login page appear with every login attempt. When we try to run the same program files on a virtual server, we get silent errors and we do not even see the application window appear. The program runs for a moment in task manager, but then closes down. BTW other .net apps run on the virtual server. Here is the error we see in the event viewer application logs[code]...

View 2 RepliesI created a SQL DB named MainDB.mdf and a small VB 2010 application with some forms and datasets.Everything was working OK until i got a new computer and re-installed Visual Studio 2010 and SQL server 2010 on it. I copied my DB from the old to the new computer and also copied by VB 2010 project to it. I used Windows Authentication to connect to the DB in the old computer and also in the new one, i am using different Windows user account names though.
I was able to connect to the DB in the new computer in the Server Explorer section, i created a new connection string to the DB and i can seed there is data in the tables. When i run my VB 2010 application created in the old computer get error:
"Cannot open database "MainDB" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'D630Admin'."
I need to get rid of that error and be able to add/mod/del data from my DB using my VB application as i used to.

I am currently working with VB.net 2005. I am trying to create a login form and use a text file as a database to login. The part login form is fine but i can't connected to the text file. When i use my coding with a database such as access or mysql is work fine.

It is simply a "Y" in the road. If they are Company A, then I want to send the username and password over to that website and log them in as if they typed it in there. If they are Company B, then the same thing but with a different website. I do not know the term for this, so the google results are not very pretty.I can not do this with a query string (not that I'd want to anyway) as I do not want the username/pw to be visible.Here is the other weird thing. This can be done via a simple HTML <FORM> and Submit button as I have tested it. But I want to do it all in VB.NET code. How is it that it is possible with some simple HTML but not possible in VB.NET? I guess it could be a security thing, right? What do the good guys like us do when we legitimately just want our employees to go to one login page, enter their username/pw, and then (based on their username) send them to either pageA.aspx or PageB.aspx which receives their username/pw that they only entered once before on the first page?

- The "pin" (username) box on the site doesn't have an ID. (Can't use getelementbyid)
- The picture doesn't have an ID either
