Jun 4, 2011i am currently having problems with Datagridview, for example when i select the first checkbox, second checkbox onwards.
I would like to update the textbox on my form to display '2' records selected. But there is one problem i faced is that when i deselect the checkbox, it does not update. It still display '2' record selected. What event handler should i use to get it to work?

Forms - How To Count Rows In Datagridview
Dec 7, 2010I have a Windows form that has a datagridview on it. I populate it with records from a database. I have a checkbox on each row. Then I have a textbox on the form outside of the datagridview. Each time a checkbox is checked I want to count it and show it in the text box. Each time a checkbox is unchecked I want it to subtract the count.

Aug 3, 2009i have a DataGridView bound to a table that has 22 fields in it. In the datagridview columns, the first 2 have the visible property set to false and the last 7 also set to false. This works since there are 13 columns displayed in the datagridview when the program runs. Here's where my issue come in. When I do the following, Console.WriteLine("Column count = " & DataGridView1.Columns.Count.ToString()), I get the expected "Column count = 22 in the output. However, when I do Console.WriteLine("Visible = " & DataGridView1.Columns.GetColumnCount(DataGridViewElementStates.Visible)), I get 20 instead of the expected 13 that actually have the property set to visible.

VS 2005 - Select Count Always Evaluate To False
May 25, 2011My tables sectionName column has an existing value. I want to update its Adviser column but my select count always evaluate to false. I want to check if my table's SectionName column record matches the selected value of my CboSectionName. if there is a match then i'll check if such section has an adviser already. If there is an adviser already, then ask the user if he/she wants to change the adviser of that section. If he/she wants to change/update the adviser then update it else exit. however, if there is no adviser yet then assign an adviser to column adviser from cboAdviser. If no record yet in table's SectionName column then prompt the user that there is no section name yet, then exit. I have been debugging the code below for hours now but I can seem to locate why my sql count always resulted to false. [Code]

I have set aside 1 text box with 1 label for each time of machine and in the text box, I want to display how many machines of that type are in the DataGridView?For example, I have 50 records and 30 of those records use machine "80ER" while 12 use "90E" and 8 of them are "PM100". I'd like the 80ER text box to show 30, 90E text box to show 12, and PM100 text box to show 8.

Jul 26, 2010As you all know, If the dataBase requires a numerical value then an error will occur when the user tries to insert the incorrect data type. With the code below after the user types in a value beside an int value type then it will go into an Loop through more than what is needed. How can I apply the same logic but allow the program not to check the 60 rows (I set the row size to 60). I want to break out of it if there are blanks ONLY if a row is blank and not for a black cell, because if the user leaves one cell blank then it would loop through the 'for each' for how many rows that they is. Initially there are 60 rows.

I want the DLL to detect the new version (I know how to do this), load the new version of the DLL into memory, and continue running. Is this even possible? So I need to know how to: Unload the current DLL. Load the new DLL. If possible, do this from the DLL in question. Is this even possible? If not, how close can I get to this?

Apr 14, 2009A change I made to the project's configuration must have disabled the ability for me to edit the code at runtime. I used to be able to pause execution and edit code on the fly, but I recently made a change to the configuration manager to build releases for x86 and all of the sudden I can no longer update code while running the app. This is very frustrating as I have to keep stopping and starting my app.
