VS 2005 Multiple Lines In A Listbox Listitem?
Jun 10, 2009I am trying to create a single listitem that has multiple lines. When I create a newline using "System.Environment.NewLine" I get an empty box rather than the text going down the next line.
How can I get this to work? Currently my listitem is a custom structure. Do I need to change anything here so I can have multiple lines? Perhaps its a limitation of the listbox?

I can click in all 4 and they maintain focus.
How can i remove focus from all the Listbox's except the one i have just selected when i select a Listbox?

May 17, 2009I have a form with a listbox. I'm adding items to the listbox through a file that I saved. When I open the file, I want each line/string in the file to go in as a separate item in the listbox. I've gotten it to work so far but only with 1 string. I need to loop the part where the file is being read to be able to add all the strings that are within the file to the listbox. How do I do this? So far, this is the code I have:

Feb 1, 2010I have 2 listboxes on my form.Listbox 1 - populated with "available" field namesListbox 2 - populated with "selected" field names.There cannot be the same field name in both listboxes - it's either one of the other.The logic I was going to apply was to populate Listbox 1 with every field name ... and then as I populated Listbox with the field names which the user has already selected, remove the corresponding item from Listbox 1.

Nov 19, 2009If I set a ListBox.Height = ListBox.PreferredHeight when the control is hidden and IntegralHeight = True, then set it visible:
a) Actual Height reduces by typically 3-5 pixels after redraw (but not 1 pixel per item).
b) PreferredHeight does not not appear to give the correct integral of item heights.
Is there a way to make ListBox calculate the correct integral Height before the ListBox is made visible, so it can be correctly pre-positioned from bottom edge?

Drawn Lines Do Not Remain On Form
Apr 15, 2010I am drawing lines on a picturebox - not in the paint event. I realise that if I resize the PictureBox the lines won't be redrawn - but the PictureBox is fixed. If I display a MessageBox at the end of my draws the lines do not remain on the screen. This was OK with VB 6.0. Hoe can I stop them being erased?

I then save the listbox to a .txt file and they can later load the .txt file back to the listbox. All this works great. But now i need to reverse the order of textbox to listbox and put the information back into the textbox fields from the listbox. So. The parsing character is ":" I need to read each line of the listbox and at the ":" take the rest in put it to the text box. I am not familiar with the parsing command

Jul 17, 2011What im try'ing to do is when a ListBox item is selected and the value has been given with a NumericUpDown box and the ''Add to orderlist'' button is clicked that it saved it to a file called "orders.txt", not at startup but when the first order is made.
Some requirements:
U can't order the same thing twice ( only edit it within the editor ).
The "orders.txt" has to open on a TextBox1 at Form2 ( the text editor ).
And the user can only change the order amount in the edit program.

I would like to be able to select more than one and have the whole of the lines loaded. I have tried many approaches, 'For each line' for example, but cant get my head around it. Another issue is that i would only like to see the textfile name in the listview box instead of path and filename.

Mar 5, 2012Im working on a program for a class project and part of it im required to remove one selected item from a listbox, in my case "lstCart" i have to first check if there is an item selected by the user, in which case i have to remove that item. Secondly, if there is no item selected i have to display an error message telling the user that they have not selected any item to be removed. Can anybody help me with this code? Ive tried a sort of nested if statement but that didnt seem to work very well.
