Im trying to make a simple quiz in visual basic all it has is a label a textbox and two buttons. one of the buttons if for checking if the answer is rite while the other is to go to the next question. i want to make it so when the next question button is clicked the label changes to the next question and the textbox is cleared and then when i press check it checks the answer.

On all button's click i have declared temp variable to catch the last column's text from my sql table and then i want to match this text with the text of that button the user clicked. if texts match i want to go to the next question of my quiz program. how to do that working. but it is not working as i want.

View 2 RepliesI have 2 forms. The first form has a label on it. The second form has a combo box, a text box, and a button on it. In the second form, when I select the label name that I want to edit, I type in what I want to change the label name to in the textbox and I click the button. Now this goes through flawlessly except I want the combobox item to change to the NEW label name. I've been able to do that but when I close the form in run-time and open it up again, the previous label name appears once again. Is it possible to make the combobox add the new label name and KEEP it in its collection?

I am learning VB at the moment and i'm planning how i'm going to make a simple quiz style web application. I want to have a series of questions, one per panel, that a user can select from multiple choice and proceed to next question with at least one option needing to be selected before going to the next question. At the end users get their score out of X.
Forgetting the validation and other bits i need. My thinking is to use a series of panels that have my questions in, so one panel per question, and by default they are all set no invisible bar the first question. Then as the user selects the question the next panel is revealed and the previous hidden, and so on etc.
I have to make a multiple choice and true or false quiz in VB. So i am thinking of two questions on one form.BUt i have to make the questions appear in random and not in order and make sure they dont repeat.Btw, i have searched a long time for this. I have found out how to make random numbers. But I have to make sure only 10 come and not repeated.

I have to make it to where it randomly selects a state and asks you what the capital is, and gives you 4 choices in the 4 radio buttons provided. My problem is getting one of the randomly selected answer choices to be the Correct answer.

So I want it to be a little screen, and once you click a Radiobutton to choose answer, it will change the label to Question(2) so forth.. but I am unsure how to do this. I am fairly new to vb, im doing this to learn.How do I make it so everytime you click a radiobutton wether it's right or wrong, the next question and possible answers all change??
I have it so that for each entry node in the XML file, it creates a new label then it creates a textbox under it. Both are added to a Collection so I can reference and delete them later. The label and textbox are set inside a panel container. I'm planning to make changes to the interface.

I am writing a program in which I need a particular set of buttons and labels to perform the same function... in a manner such that only the button next in order can be clicked (following which an input box pops up to offer options) I tried to define a new button and a new label object which is assigned the current label/ button.
B = Button1
L = Label1
but it doesn't work. I'm not sure if this assignment is allowing only the reference to be passed as I require (so that Button1 reflects changes when I write code for B, etc.) Also i learned that arrays of objects are no longer supported in Visual Studio 2010. Is there an alternative way to do it?.... If I could define an array of objects or something similar I think I'll be able to manage..

I want the user to be able to make a selection from the combo box, and when the row is finished and the "new row" moves down one, I want the column to become a textbox containing the what the user selected. View 1 RepliesI have a piece of software with two tabs, inside each tab there are buttons (the user can add the buttons when they want). when tab1 is full tab2 should start to fill. I currently know how many buttons fit on the screen so I just say something like if buttons > 150 then start to populate tab 2 The problem i have now though is if the resolution is changed then a different amount of buttons can be displayed. so if I put my screen to 1280x720 some buttons are left of. I was thinking of detecting the resolution and then using different cases for different resolutions but this seems very inefficient im wondering if there is a different way?

The combobox and buttons loads after the contents of an Excel file is loaded into the application.However if the form is resized before the loading, the position of the combobox and the buttons changes even though all the controls are locked. The position of the labels and textboxs remains the same. Can anyone figure out any reason for this anomaly?
