VS 2005 Printing Variable # Of Copies In One PrintDoc?
Feb 10, 2011
I am looping through a spread sheet control that has some part number and a quantity of labels that need to print for each part number. Can I use one print doc and set the copies for each page individually? For instance, I may need 1 label for row one, 3 for row two, and 5 for row 3. Through my testing it looks like it doesn't work that way.
I have what I think is impossible to achieve. I am printing labels to a zebra printer. Each label is to be attached to an individual item in a batch. The client wants a separate serial number on each label.
I want to convert documents to PDF by "printing" them on a "virtual" printer (which produces PDF files instead of paper copies). My code looks like this:
An interesting feature, I have seen in jDownloader software is any links I copy in the browser window (i.e., Ctrl+c), the copied content links automatically appears ( i.e., with out me actually pasting it) in their UI and starts downloading the content from the links, if they are valid.I would like to program the same but am puzzled as how to access the variable to which OS copies.
I have a question about the App.Config file. My understanding is that the connection string is stored within this file. I have setup my application so that the App.Config file is not only written to c:users<username>appdatalocal but also to c:users<username>appdataoaming. I plan to encrypt the connection string, my question at this point is will it encrypt the connection string in ALL copies of the App.Config file? It looks like at this point that the App.Config file is stored in two places on the hard drive.
I have searched all over and can not find the printqueue anywhere. I'm using VS 2008 Pro, and .NET 3.5. I'm writting in Visual Basic.I create my document then send it to a previous selected printer. I do not give the user a printdialog I handle all the settings in the code. My problem is when the printer is not online, it triggers an unhandled exception. I would like to check the status of the printer just before the printdoc is sent, so that I can handle what to do when the printer is offline.
I'm a little baffled why I get this error. Scenario: Printing - 6 different things to print including "Permit" and "Permit Copies". "Permit" looks like a drivers license including a photo."Permit Copies" is exactly the same except it has a piece of text at the bottom that says "Sheriffs Copy".
The problem is when trying to print "Permit Copies". Very few of them shows the print preview - most just display the FileNotFoundException error. If "Permit" pulls up the photo just fine, why not "Permit Copies?" It should be trying to pull up the same photo as "Permit" - same file path/name. Where is it wrong in my code?
I want to print bill on a roll paper using vb.net. The requirements are as follows: The width of the page is 300 pixels or 3 inches. The height of the page is variable, depending on the number of the rows in the datagrid. The page header will have an image. The names of the items could be long, so they should not be chopped, rather print on the next line.
I have the following code but I get blue squiggly line in cnn and when i point my mouse pointer on it i see this message "Variable 'cnn' hides a variable in an enclosing block".[code]
I have a form with one RichText Box int it. The lines in this are formatted differently that is, some lines are in bold letters, some are center aligned and also the font size are different. Currently I am using PrintDialog Box and Print Preview Dialog box to print the Contents of the RichText Box. The problem is when I preview the print contents everything will be displayed in a common font and aligned left.

The text string I have printing into a rectangle, and if a word does not fit it will wrap down to the next line, and then keep going like that, but now I need to split my page into three different areas that will each print different text.I am pretty sure I could draw three different rectangels then draw the text I need on each of them, but is it possible to somehow merge them together into a single rectangle that will be printed?

I want to be able to send an array of mixed documents to the printer. One document may be a word file, another a tiff file and another a jpeg.At the moment the only way I can do it is to open a seperate print preview for each document which is not good from the users point of view.
I am new to vb. I have developed a project which interacts with sql server and vb.net. Now i am wondering how to print the selected fields from that form.
I am able to print a list students belonging to a certain class/section. Each class/section may have different number of students. I would like to have another report where instead of printing all the students in one bond paper, I like to be able divide the print out into two. Example, If I have 45 students in a class/section, I can print the first 23 students in one bond paper and the other half in another bond paper. I would like to use .rdlc and I am using sql.

I'm trying to use my existing application to open tiff files for clients and staff in order to print or view the reports that we have scanned into our server. Unfortunately I have been unable to find a free, preferably open source library or wrapper for a library that will work in VB.NET running through Visual Studio 2005. Does anyone know of any open source/free implementations of this that I could adopt in my application?
I need stop printing and paper feeding in the middle of printing in dot matrix printer.(Like a POS Printer - When wrote 'End Doc' on POS printer can stop paper feeding)
I am using VB 2008 & Access Databases for creating WinForm Applications. Also i am using Crystal Reports for Report solution. my question is How do i created reports such a way that they can be printed in faster Ascii Format on any DotMatrix printer. The default true type fonts make printing very slower.
I tried to use "Draft 10 cpi" font which come to available me after i installed a correct driver for my Epson printer. which also helped me overcome this problem. however it wont be the scenario with all my clients i.e. they might have different printers having different Make with different drivers installed. i have tried to open such project on there PC but the printing wont come in Draft instead the fonts get expanded too much & the print wont come right.
I basically have an application that generates reports in a .html file, I use a .html file for the ease of making tables and formatting text. Now I would like to introduce a way of printing the reports from my program. Because I use a .html file, the formatting would not the correct if I was to print it directly from my application (as far as I know). For this reason, I would like to print it just like my web browser would have in order to keep the tabular data intact and the text formatting.
I'm creating an application which has an scheduler to print and it checks if there is a pending job on the print queue before it prints the next file. I use a timer which checks if there is any file to be printed on my database. Example, the timer ticks and selected 10 files to be printed, it should print the 10 files 1 at a time, if there's no print queue, that's the only time the next file should print. I think another timer is required which will keeps on checking if print queue is done. How will i do this?
I would like to get the number of copies of a job, in the que and limit the users if they print more than selected copies the the queue should pause it. not the number of pages in a job, the number of copies, and the second thing is , this code works on the local machine, how if a print is sent from the network, is there any way that I can pause that print wich is coming from the network or another machine, on the network, most of my printers are connected through ip, and some are shared printers.
