i have two computers network connected one is com1 and other is com2.i m using com1..if i save then i want to store in only in com2..and when i open from another computer the database frm com2 should be displayed from com1.Dim cn As New SqlConnection("server=localhost;database=attendance1;uid=sa;password=;")i think just the declaration would do that...but i m not doint that.

View 4 RepliesI am doing a task and trying to save attachment of email from exchange server utomatically rather than doing it manually. I have done some reseach in the website and found the code in the following link but it is not quite working for me. My first issue is that it stopped in the line _XmlDataDocument.LoadXml(_ResponseText), and said "The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required." I have tried to set it as my own user name and password, but still not working.Secondly, can some explain a little to me about XmlHttp40.responseText? What it should return? A file name in the server or? How can I let the server know what file need to be saved? and to where?
View 1 RepliesIve created one database Sql Server Compact Edition 2005, with one table ("Cliente") I know that I can created my database good, but i have a problem saving information since three textbox, in my table(With columns "Nombre" "Apellido" "Cliente". In my form there is a button save ("Guardar"). When I do click in my button appear the next message : "The column cannot contain null values. [ Column name = Nombre,Table name = Cliente ] " and happen the same with apellido and Id_Cliente. And this happen becouse my code cant save the information....

Now i want to make a setup of this project but i am unable to integrate sqldatabase and .net framework in this setup project. Is there any way to do this. Because it is assumed that the client does not have .NET Framework installed nor he has SQL Server on his system and the worst condition would be he does not have even internet connection from where these two setups can be downloaded if we give the condition for downloading these programs from the net if the client does not have these programs installed on his machine.

View 6 RepliesI have a SQL Server database with a table that has a column that stores an image. I have another database and I would like to store the image from the SQL Server database into it. It's type is MS Access 2000 format .mdb.
The problem is I get back the content of the column and I put them in an array of bytes as follows:

It sends me back the data of the image as byte type. When I try to save this into the access DB it give me an error because of type mismatch.
I have been working on a project. In this project I wish to be able to create electronic signatures. I have perfected the signing routine and also creating the memory astream and saving and retrieving an image. The problem comes in when I retrieve the image from the database. The image being saved does not capture the signature (the changes I've made to the picturebox)
1. I load a small bmp as the template on where to sign with by setting the picturebox.imagelocation to a network share
2. Using mousemove and mouseclick, and draw events I draw a signature on top of the picture box
3. I picturebox.image.save(memorystream) the picture box to a sql server from a button click event.
4. When I retrieve the saved image there are no edits (No signature) only the original image. I am sure that the original image is going in and that it is coming out every time.
My question is thus: How can I capture the signature that I have edited into the picture box. I have tried picturebox.save like I mentioned above and I have tried picturebox.update() but without success. Does anyone know what I missing I think that the answer lies in refreshing or updating the picturebox, but I'm not sure how.
