VS 2008 Bindingsource Currentchanged Event - Refresh The Data By Clicking Row

I have added a handler in my code for the bindingsource currentchanged event: I have populated a datagridview. AddHandler PeopleBindingSource.CurrentChanged, AddressOf ChangeHandler then on the ChangeHandler Sub I populate an HTML report. However I don't think this is the best event to handle this. I have to datepickers on my forma as well. So say I click on a row in my dgv, that persons report loads. Then I change the start date on my datepicker,
Now i want to click on that row again to refresh the data, but since the currentchanged event doesn't fire the data won't refresh. I have to click on another row then click on the row I want to view in order for the event to fire. which event is best to do this?

I am trying to get my grid to refresh automatically when the underlying data is updated in the database. Isn't this supposed to work? Or am I missing something? I created a DataTable within my DataSet. Then I created a new form and added a DataGridView (actually I'm using DevExpress' XtraGrid but am trying to get it to work with just the Microsoft controls). I use the menu in the upper left of the grid to set the grid datasource to the datatable in the project data source. This then automatically adds the dataset, BindingSource, and TableAdapter to the form.

I datagridview and I populate it using a bindingsource. I have the following code in the bindingsources PositionChanged event and it works as I want it to except when I filter the bindingsource.

The scenario is when I click on a row in my datagridview the bindingsources positionchanged event fires and I load a crystal report. Problem is when I filter the bindingsource, even though the first item in the grid is now different the incorrect report is displayed because the bindingsources position hasn't changed.

I have a combobox and a group of textboxes on a windows form. I'm using a binding source to bind a dataset from an access database to these controls. To add a new row, I'm adding a row to the dataset. This adds to the database fine, but on the screen, it adds the new entry to my form, but it also overwrites the textboxes of what ever item was currently selected with the values of the new row I just added. If I quit and re-enter the program everything is correct.[code]...

how would i go about resetting or refreshing a table adapter before it fills a data grid view (load event). As i have tried a number of things to get it to refresh but it seems that the data connection to the Database is simply not closing and re- openingwould i have to program it to be a manual thing to retrieve the data from the database or am i just not doing it right

I'm making a webbrowser that automatically refreshes till a link changes, then it makes some procedures.
I know that refresh methods dont fire the documentcomplete event so what could be a solution for my situation?

I am trying to see if producttextbox.text (getting ready to be entered) is duplicated in the DB. I have searched and search and typed some code but nothing is working. Code shown is so far the closest.I do get the NO MATCH message box now although it is a duplicate record. At least I know I am getting somewhere...

I'm using a bindingsource to bind a dataset to a datagridview. Normally I would use a dataview to sort and filter the data, but since a bindingsource can also do this, I figured I would not need a dataview anymore. But I'm not sure how to get certain data from the filtered source. I know I can get it from the datagridview, but I'm not loading the entire dataset into the datagridview. I guess I could and then just make the columns I don't need be invisible. Or I could go ahead and use a dataview also, but that seems redundant. I was wondering if there is an equivalent to this code to get a specific item from a dataview, but pulling it from the bindingsource:
tbCode.Text = dv.Item(m_recno).Item("CodeNo")
As long as I'm not filtering the data, I can get it from the dataset, but when it's filtered, the indexes won't match.

I have the following form1, when called as the startup, everything works fine. Usually after I added a new row, fill in the fields in that row and close the form without leaving that row, both bindingsource listChanged event will fire.
However, when called from the another form. It does not work. bindingsource listChanged event does not fire when I close the form after adding a new record. Likewise dataGridView1_RowValidated event as well.

In my form.load event, there is a bindingsource.fill event.After the .fill, there are two or three other lines of code that query the newly filled tablemanager. The code gets the number of total records and displays that number on the form.Here is the problem ....When the .fill statement is executed, control reverts to the form and any statement AFTER the .fill event is not executed.I have tried to stick the remaining lines of code into some other form event with little success. These three lines of code only need to run once.Does anyone have a suggestion as to where to stick these lines?

In the following sample, I create a collection of objects and bind them to a DataGridView. When the button is clicked, I .SuspendBinding, then remove all the records, then .ResumeBinding. The DataGridView1_SelectionChanged event is fired when I remove { m_dataSource.RemoveAt(pos) } the selected row of the Grid. Why is this? I would think that .SuspendBinding() would stop any events from firing through to the grid. If not, what is the point of .SuspendBinding()?

If I have a panel with a handful of controls in it, and I want to create a click event for anytime that the user clicks on any controls that are NOT inside that particular panel, how would I do it? In other words, if there was an event called "ClickSomethingElse", that would be perfect. Any way to accomplish something like this? I realize that I could create individual click events for each of the controls outside of the panel, but there are a LOT of controls outside of the panel, so I was just wondering if there is a more efficient way to do this.

After inserting an user control and double clicking on it, a stub with the default event should appear.
If I don't define what the default event is and I don't assign any attributes to any events or properties, it works, and it generates the stub for the UserControl.Load event (the default default event).
But if I set some attributes for the properties and events and/or I define the default event, the stub generated is corrupted. Here is an example of what I should get:

In this case I had 5 user controls, I double clicked on one of them, and I got 2 corrupted stubs.
Sometimes the corrupted stubs are generated when I change some properties of other controls in the form, or the form itself. For example I resize the form, the error window doesn't show any errors, hit F5 to compile and run, and get a syntax error.
I tried to track the problem down by removing each event/property attribute/xml description, one by one, many times I thought I found the culprit, but after 10 minutes the problem popped up again.

I have a DataRepeater that needs to display individual items from a List (Of T). The missing link between them is a BindingSource component.Everything works fine, i.e., the DataRepeater displays list items correctly, and I can add and delete items, even change using the TextBoxes on the DataRepeater.
The problem is that when I change the value of an item in the code, it doesn't get reflected on the DataRepeater. Only when I click a button on the form which executes this code:myBindingSource.ResetBindings(False)
