VS 2008 Data Bound RTF Not Updating

I have a class which I'm binding to a series of textboxes, date pickers and so on. When I change text in the text boxes, the object updates just fine, and when I then save the data, it has the changes. My problem seems to be with the RTB ... if I bind to the .Text property, it works just fine and updates like any normal text box. However... when I bind to the RTF property... changes to the object don't happen unless I first click out of the RTB... quite annoying. If I edit the text or change the formatting, and hit the save button, the changes don't get reflected in my object. I've even tried using debug statements to track when the property is changed, and I'm not getting the results I desire.

I want it so every time I click an ITEM in the Listbox it displays ALL the data into the textbox. I know there's an easy way using table adapters and binding the listbox, but I'd prefer to do it this way for my project.
So this is what I got.
Lst.DataSource = ds
Lst.DisplayMember = "tblStudent.FirstName"
Lst.ValueMember = "tblStudent.StudentID"

It only adds the first rows details to the text box when I click the second record the first rows details are still there.

I have a combo box that is bound to a dataset using the IDE. When I add a row to the table it does not reflect the change in the combo box until after I close the program down and restart it back up.To update the underlying table I open a form from the main form and ask the user for information to add.Then I call the following function to add the info.[code]My binding source for the combo box in the IDE is set to Tb lDrivers BindingSource which gets its info from the above tblDrivers table

How do I update a field in the underlying bindingsource for rows selected in a datagridview.
I can do it for single row in the bindingsource but not for several selected rows in the datagridview.
bindingsource.table.current is usually the current row in the datagridview

I have added a SQL Server datasource through the wizard. I created my forms which were bound to the dataset. Is it possible to change the datasource and dataset names while updating the dataset the binding controls of the form?
For instance, Server 1 has DB1 and Server 2 has DB2 (DB1 & DB2 store the same information/tables). Is it possible to keep the forms and only update the binding information if I want the forms to use DB2?

I have a DataViewGrid1 that has two hidden fields that the user cannot view. Code and Name.Code is a primary key field and must be manually set prior to inserting into table. It is currently giving me an error saying that code cannot be NULL. The following is the code that I have:

Is there a way to add rows to a DGV as I want to add information from another form to the DGV. The .Rows.Add() does not work as I am told I can not add rows to a data bound grid.Short of unbinding the DGV and re writing everything, I can not see how to do it.

I am having issues understanding why it is that a text box that has been bound to a dataset correctly updates that dataset when the text in the box is manually changed i.e. by changing it using the keyboard but the dataset does not recognise the change when I change it in code.Am I missing something obvious? The text is changed in code when the user clicks on a command button that copies the text from another textbox on the form to this textbox.

As i mentioned, manually it works fine but when I use the comman button to change the text it does not recognise that any changes have occured.

Im having a problem getting the selected values of a listbox that is data-bound..

The error message says... "Operator '&' is not defined for type 'DataRowView' and string " "." And the only way I can get it to work is to pull out the & operator and change that line of code to this.

I have a data-bound combobox that pulls values from a BindingList(of T). Combobox loads fine, correct values are displayed (I'm not using SelectedItem or SelectedValue). I'm using properties and connecting the data to the control via a bindingsource.
What I want is if the user types text into the combobox, I want the data from the bound table to change to that new text, i.e. edit the bound data directly.
Easy as pie to do with a textbox, but can't seem to get a combobox to work this way.
I was trying to use the validated event of the combobox to write the data to the datasource, but it doesn't fire when I press enter. Is that the way to do it? Can I not link the data to the combobox directly?

I've got a couple of drop down lists for languages. I bind them to a language list that comes from a query. Then the fields are also bound to the row in the DB they relate to. I have several panels with the language drop down - each "tied" to a different table in my DB. When I call up different records on the same panel the drop downs immediately "set to the position" of that rows language in the list. But when I call up another panel - tied to another database table - I see that language in the drop down.

I have two forms in my program, Form1 has ListBox which contains names from the Database.Form2, has textbox and add button to get a new name from the user.but when I click on add button.. i return to Form1 to view the names in the listbox by clicking on view button: ALL NAMES ARE DISPLAYED WITHOUT THE NEW NAME.when I close my program and click on View button all names including the new name that was entered before are displayed ! is there a way to display everything in the database without closing the program??I need a way to refresh or something.

I have a little big problem in one application.
I have a datagridview with data from a datatable, this datatable have these fields (id,num1,num2, date,user,ref,qt,cost,center), some of them are hided in the dgv (id,num1,num2,date,user). The user can edit,delete and add new rows to the dgv.
I have a save button that performs this actions:
First check if there are new rows, and if yes it fill the hidden fields. Then validate the inserted values by the user with a couple of ifs. In the end, i call the bindingsource EndEdit, and call the adapter Update command against the datatable...
This sometimes works others not really, i don't understand why.
The error it's: "Concurrency violation: the DeleteCommand affected 0 of the expected 1 records"
I think sometimes when Updating it occurs to.

I have a program that uses a database for all of its information. The program is just an easier way to understand all of the information.The user uses 1 of 4 search options (FName, LName, MemberID or Startdate). Depending on what they search for depends on which members are displayed in a data grid view.
Upon selecting the desiered member from the data grid view, information about them is then displayed. This information has been split up over 3 tabs called member information, Attendence and payment history.
That all works great. So I now go to the Attendence Tab and wish to update this members attendence by selecting a date from the date time picker, and select the Add attendence button.This also works fine, the attendence is update but the attendence data grid view is not updated automatically.
I have to select the member from the first data grid view to run the code to refresh the members information.So I thought, call the PopulateAttendenceHistory Private sub again and have it update the data grid view... but it still doesnt work.

there is a tab control system. It relies on only five text boxes, and their bindings change when the tab is changed The relevant information is displayed. However, if I navigate to a different record...You can see that the same information is displayed in the tab control text boxes, and not the employee's details I just selected in the data grid or the navigation. I am sorry to keep bothering you about this damn DataGridView control ... As you might have noticed I am having a hard time with the DataGridView control ... My latest problem has to do with updating the data base file (Access) through a DataGridView control .
Up to now I have managed to successfully edit an entry in the DataGridView control and moreover to successfully update the data base file itself .
The above form and its code work fine . The problem starts when I am trying to run the code of the Update button from another form .
You see , I have another form , through which I change the contents of some of the cells in the DataGridView control (back in Form1) . What I want next is to simply update the data base file itself , just like I was doing with the button in the first form , after I manually changed the cell in the DataGridView control .Thus , on the second form I have a button with this code :
Form1.Button1_Click(Nothing, Nothing) (of course the Click event is declared public)I have also tried :
Form1.Button1.PerformClick()
but still nothing ...Although Form2 successfully changes the cells back in Form1 , the data base file itself does not get updated ...If I manually press the Update button in Form1 I once again successfully update the data base file , but I want to do the whole thing by calling the Update button from Form2 .

I have an Address Book project with a listbox. The listbox is bound to the database via the little arrow pop-up box in the corner of the listbox. I have the DisplayMember set to FirstName, and obviously only display the First Name of the contact in the ListBox. Is there an easy way to change it so that it displays the First and Last names? We are binding most of our text boxes and dropdown boxes to a BINDING NAVIGATOR (with a DATA SOURCE of a DATA TABLE).When the BN is clicked through the text boxes all change immediately.We need to use some non-bound controls as well.First one is 4 radio buttons that when clicked will change a single value in a DATA TABLE.What would be the best method to do this?
