VS 2008 : Disable Key Press Procedure?

I have some code that executes in several keydown procedures.Trouble is, how do I keep these procedures from running?

When I'm elsewhere in the program (it has different "modes" when operating), I DON'T want lowbit0 true.How do I ignore these subs in code? Also -- from what I've seen, you can only use the key events from within a procedure?Like If KEYX.event = true then do this?

In my mini program, I want to make it so that if the user presses the backspace or carriage return key, they call a subroutine. I have already written the subroutine, and have no problems there. I want to make it so that if they press the backspace key, they trigger one sub, and if they press the carriage return key they trigger another. I also want to make it so that the key presses are global, i.e not only counted when they have their cursor in a certain area e.t.c.

I am confused what will happen, when I disable a timer. Will it finish the process and then disable or will it immediately disable without completing process? for example

I want to run getMessage from somewhere else, so I need to disable timer during that time to be asured not to override anything and also before timer disable it should complete that function code.

I have a simple application launcher, where each button has a picture on it.
Is there a way to set an accelerator key, in VB (as you can't do it any other way) for each button.
Also, can you set it so that you don't have to press alt first?

I am trying to make a program that outputs a series of key presses into another window. I have been trying to do this with the SendKeys but have found that it it presses the key too quickly for the other application to be affected enough to cause much output. I need a way to globally press the key down and key it up over a period of time. If I know the code for pressing a key down and up globally I'll be able to link it up with a timer and work from there assuming the key codes are the same as SendKeys.

The problem comes when i use this code it surely gonna restrict me entering the alpha characters but i m facing problem is i can enter only a single digit number
i.e when i try to enter 45 it's simpley don't expect it only value which it is accepting is [1],[2] what i want it should accept the value's in two digits,three digits and so on..

I am trying to make it so that when the enter key is pressed, a process or action is executed, and then the program waits for further prompting - For example the enter key is pressed again.
I have used the following code in visual basic 2008 for a windows form:

Where I want to press enter a number of times and have different text displayed each time. Clearly when I run the sub above, pressing enter makes all the text appear at once. How can I make it so that one sentence or paragraph is displayed at a time?

I have a code which registers keypresses even if it's running in the background.Is there a way I can capture the keypresses, but prevent the keypress from going to any other app? Microsoft Word and my program is running.if I press to 'Activate' button the program starts capturing all keypresses. This makes it impossible to type into Word, or any program for that matter as long as my program is activated.Once my prgram is deactivated I can type in any program normally.

In a tic tac toe game I am making there are two blocks of code that are identical except that they access different arrays:[code]Arrays plyrTaken and plyrPairs are used in the first block and cmptrTaken and cmptrPairs are used in the second. Is it possible to wrap these blocks into one Sub Procedure passing the different arrays when the procedure is called?

I need my application to go to a website, press a button on the website to get data, and then get the data that it shows all without the user seeing the webbrowser control. I'm doing this for a little project. The user could normally just go to the site and press the button themselves, but that would take to long. So how do you programmatically do this?

I installed my VB 2008 0n my new laptop with Windows 7. New when i edit a project, i am having a problem with my keybaord. I need to press two of my keys twice to show. The keys are ' and ` This is only happening in VB, My Office and other programs is affected by this. I try the keyboard mapping in Windows.

I have problem to detect the Flash Full Screen.. I used the keyboard hook to detect the "Escape" While It is On full screen!And use Keybroad event "Alt-f4" to close the active X flash Full screen.... But At Normal Stage ,"Escape" It Also Close My Program While it is No Flash Player Fullscreen in motion. So i want to Know When is the Flash Full screen Start and i start the keyboard hook event! Are there any hints about the event of active X Flash Player Full Screen .

I may be doing this wrong but I want to call a sub when the user presses enter on a textbox. The sub then shows a window in dialog mode. When I close that window, the computer makes a ding sound. Why is that? Is there a better way for detecting enter being presses on a textbox and not getting that ding?

I have an app that I'm using Form2 to display informaitonal messages without having the user to press the OK button. I DIM form2 as a new form as a global and then add a lable to it on the fly and then control it's appearance with a timer. This all works great providing the main form is being displayed however I can't make Form2 show up if the main form is minimized or hidden. I can get around this a bit by keeping the main form maximized but change it's Opacity to zero but once I do that I have no idea how to return the Opacity back to normal when I do want to see the form. Anyone have any ideas on how to make Form2 display if the main from is minimzed or how to control the Opacity of the main form so I can return things to normal? I was thinking that there might be something I could do with hovering over or clicking on the icon in the taskbar but I don't know what that event might be.
