eg the item at the front could be 1 the next item behind it could be 2 and so forth.
I don't mind if the numbers start with 1 as the back most item either

Jun 28, 2009Looking for a way to be notified when any windows ZOrder changes?Zorder refers to the layering of the windows. a zorder of 0 is at the bottom. I don't know any other way to ask this question.

Dec 21, 2011im trying to find the top most window other than my form or its parent form...Background:Im writing software for a TS-MFD (touch screen - Multi function display), it has a docked menu bar at the bottom with the option to pull up an onscreen keyboard. Now the keyboard ive written and works well but the only drawback is i need to specify what window to send the keys too, be it inside my own application or a 3rd party app such as notepad. I believe the answer lies an recursively looping through GetForegroundWindow() from user32.dll and ignoring "Keyboard" and "MenuBar", but I dont know how to advance to the next top most window, i only know how to get the top window...so my window order is likely Keyboard,Menubar,(then the window im trying to grab)?

Sep 19, 2008I am creating an application for Windows Mobile 6 in Visual Studio 2005. I have a TabStrip on the main form. There are 2 buttons i want at the top of the tab strip, but i don't want them to be part of it. I need the same buttons to show when the tabs change. I used to use the ZOrder function or Parent function but can't see how to do it in the new version. Any ideas?

May 25, 2012Regarding my college project. i'm working on a sales system . i have a form which consist of all the following information( item code , item name , item price , quantity of item ) which is display using a data grid . data input by user using text box and all this information will be stored in a database(sales database) i'm using ms access 2007. the grand total will be displayed in a text box . and amount paid will be input in a text box too , my major problem now is how to i create a reciept that will have all this information of the purcase. i have a reciept button . what the next step ? i dont have any idea how to get the reciept done.

Here is the problem,however: if the text is more than 1 line, the list box does not show all the text.It ends up looking messy.So getting back to my question, is it possible to make the list box item height for an item depending on the amount of lines that item contains?This is a one line sentence in the list box and should take up one line.This is a multi line sentence in the list box and should take up two lines for item height.

Aug 5, 2009I have been working on an app that was basically a vb6 app but had to be changed and I did it all using VB 2008. works well, great. One of the problems that I had was to work on different groupboxes or frames. Since they are layered on top of each other, working on one frame would mess up the others. Eventually it all went okay. but now if i want to add another item in the menu and hence add another groupbox (or frame) in the same app - it would definitely be a nightmare.

Jan 21, 2012Is it possible to compare 2 dataitems and then display the result depending on the 2 values using if eval at run time?I have a ListView with databound controls. 1 is RedemptionChoice and the 2 is CashBack.When 1 reads "0" and 2 reads > 0.00 the output should read AUTO I have read many comments online and most point to create a new function within code behind but have found it impossible to implement on my own.I tried this as a test on the actual page:

What I want to be able to do is to retrieve a piece of data from the ObservableCollection items source depending on what item in the listbox the user has selected.I've almost got it working but because the listbox is sorted it does not match the index of the items source.

Sep 9, 2009I am filling a listview control with a big number of items but i came across an problem, the repeated values. In those items i use .Text and .Tag so i can relate some hidden values per item. I have been trying to use the items.find() with no luck since it looks like to search for keys, which i don't really have. Every item has different .Tag values but it can happens that they have the same .Text Is there any way to remove or just not add items based on a .Text search in the ListView?

Lets say I have ComboBox1 that contains the letter A-Z, 26 items, I would want to set each letter a specific number, then use that number for something else. Like, if I set the letter A to equal the number 4, and the user has chosen A in the combo, I could do something like make a Msgbox say that value(4). Does that make sense?
