Im trying to get hour to a variabel, and also minute to a variabel.I have build this code but it dosen't work.

Now as you can see it is sending the textbox1 text and then pressing enter then sending textbox2 text! Theres quite a few problems in that but before i discuss note: This code is in a Timer. Problem #1: It does not send the keys fully correct all the time because its trying to send them all at once! So i want it to send them 1 letter after the other with 200 ms sleep in them! Problem #2: The sleep is not working: The reason i know is because even after it did the first textbox1 text it didnt wait that 2000 ms!
I have a Date variable called Time1In.
I'm getting a time value as a string from Excel, so I assign the date variable a value like this:
the string value coming in from excel is this:
30/12/1899 7:40:00 AM
my code gets the time value and assigns it to the date variable:
TimeIn1 = TimeValue(strTimeIn1)
the Date variables value is then this:
#7:40:00 AM#
which inserted into my database datetime field then looks like this:
0001-01-01 7:40:00
That causes errors when loading the page. I need to set a date value on the date variable. How can I properly append a date to the variable?
I'm working on a small accounting app. I have a query to show transactions with a running balance.

I capture a gamesheet for a certain week. so if I select a date on a monthcalendar the sheet applies to the weeknumber of the selected date. When I save transactions I take the date at the last day of that week as the transactiondate. I need to store a datetime though because my query works of the datetime to get an accurate running balance. How can I append now() time part to my date variable and then store that in a datetime variable to get a transactiondatetime.
Here is my code for getting a transactiondate:

I can select any other item from the table without the error. "sender" has the same properties as "receiver" in the SQL table.
I am really new to .net, I've got the basics to a game down, I need to be able to send variable arrays between programs, I am aiming for local network first, then I'll tackle internet. Does .net have any simple way of doing this? Was difficult in vb 6. It needs to be fast so both machines get the same view of the game.

I have created a class with a public sub which has a variable with it using byval:

I can't use a global variable because there is going to be multiple instances of this routine running on different threads and each time the variable to be passed will be different.
I have a filter that is used to populate a grid view and the url will conain: /example/grid?value1=1&value2=2
It will then have a link to page 2, which allows them to edit something.I then want them to click a link that will send them back to the gridview under the same parameters of: /example/grid?value1=1&value2=2
Is this possible? How do I hold on and fill in the URL values so it knows how to refill the grid view accordingly?

View 1 RepliesI have to send a sequence of video frames over UDP as fast and real-time as possible and while I got the basics working, I am running into all sorts of difficulties. Some of my goals:Data will normally be sent over dial-up (hence UDP instead of TCP), but also needs to support fast Ethernet.It's OK to occasionally drop frames (hence UDP instead of TCP).Need low latency. The frame the remote receives should be one that was recently sent (no more than a few frames waiting in buffers).I need to be able to detect the effective bandwidth so that I can compress the frames more or less to keep frame rate up.I break up frame data into one or more datagrams of about 500 bytes and each has a sequence number and other info. The receiver reassembles the entire frame and detects if any datagrams are missing.If the receiver detects more than a certain percentage of dropped frames (e.g. 50% over the last 10 frames), I send a TCP message to the sender to slow down by 50%. Sender than slowly increases speed by 5% each subsequent frame.Using System.Net.Sockets.UdpClient to send and receive the data.I have a separate TCP channel used for control messages back to sender.My main difficulty right now is detecting the effective bandwidth and dealing with latency, especially over dial-up (max ~4,000 bytes/sec). For example, if I try to send 100,000 bytes/second using TcpClient.Send() they ALL seem to arrive (no dropped datagrams) but with large latency by the time last datagram arrives. I think the TcpClient.Send() function is blocking until the buffer is able to send which messes up my current algorithm.

I have a database that holds email addresses, and I want to send each one an email via a GMail account. My code works fine - the first email is sent and I receive it. I then navigate to the second email address, click the button, and, again, the email is sent just fine. Then I encounter problems. After sending two, if I try to send any more, I get an error telling me the operation has timed out? I have no choice then but to quit my application and try again - and it will then send two, before giving me the error.

View 4 RepliesI've been playing around with the TCP client/server sample code I found on [URL] but I can't seem to get it to function correctly. The problem I am having is that if I try to send data from the client a second time I get nothing back, not even an error that it couldn't send data. Every time I run the project it works the first time but that's it. When I was running the code line by line it seems to get to 'networkStream.Read(bytes, 0, CInt(tcpClient.ReceiveBufferSize))' and then it jumps over the rest of the routine.

View 13 RepliesWhen I setup the event using DDay.ical I can successfully send the events to a user's outlook. The problem arises when multiple events are setup at the same time. When this happens all emails are updates to the original task, not new tasks.
I tried adding a name to the event using the .Name property, which results in the event email being an unsupported calendar invite.
What to use for adding multiple attachment to a email. I'm using VB 2010.
First, I have a Form in my company web site to fill a reclamation ..... when you fill and send it, it convert the form into a PDF, save it in the client side "TEMP" and finally get the PDF and send it to a email..... that's perfectly fine. I add to the form the capability of attach multiple files with file upload to the same "TEMP" and displayed in a Grid View to remove or add files and send everything to a email, the attachment capability is working. Everything is working with the PDF not the files(attachments).
There is a way to get the multiple files from the "TEMP" folder and add it to some dynamically variable (array list, attachment collection, list collection, etc.) so all can be send to the email. I already know the way to put it into the email with the PDF.
The problem is to get the files and add it to the dynamic variable and that it work with the email. If the code is need it.
I have a list, and in my items are labeled like this:

I need to obtain time values from a SQL DB. However, I was able to set the datatype for the respective column in the SQL table only to "datetime" as there is no "time" option in the dropdown list in the Visual Web Developer. Namely, I want to bind a Listbox control only to the time data (i.e. not to "dd-mm-yyyy hh:mm:ss"). I tried to convert the datetime values to string and then extract the last 9 chars that refer to time.Unfortunately, my attempts to do that with SubString have failed:
