VS 2008 Getting File Size From An Array Into ListView?
Mar 13, 2010I'm attempting to get the size of a bunch of files located in a directory with an array. Using a single file, it works great. But as an array, I get an error. This is the code I was using:
VB .NET
Dim filepath() As String = Directory.GetFiles("C:Test", "*", SearchOption.AllDirectories)
Dim lvi As New ListViewItem
Dim fi As New FileInfo(filepath.ToString)

It works... kind of. It adds each file to the ListView, when I just want the whole sum. I was hoping I could just use "DirectoryInfo" from the System.IO namespace, but everything I've been reading says I need to loop through the files.

Lets say the table has 3 columns (a,b,c) and 1 row of data.

I want the user to be able to re-arrange the columns (by dragging the column headers) before printing the contents of the table.

3 1 2
Statements like:
.. ListViewX.Columns(2).Text
.. ListViewX.Columns.Item(2).Text
.. ListViewX.Items(0).SubItems(2).ToString
Give the column-name (c) and cell-contents (3) of the origional table .. not the (3rd) column (b) of the re-arranged table.
How can i get the column-name and cell-contents of the (3rd) column of the re-arranged table?

I have a textchange on coustomer name which fills the listview with just the names that start with the letters as they are typed in, this bring up the listview with those customers. ListView Size Of Text Shown Populated By A Database
Dec 17, 2010I have a list view populated by a database. The columns for each record are First, Last and EMPID. When I look at the list view on the form at runtime, I can see some/all of the First name and then below that may be part of the Last and some ... periods and no EMPID. When I hover over the record, I can see the EMPID. Is there a way to have all of the information in the record visible in the list view?

Create a function that will change the images of all my listview items by looping through them. If the index variable is set to 2, I want the 3rd item in my list view set to use the 2nd image in my imagelist. The rest of the items in my listview need to be set to the first image in the imagelist.

I am trying to use drag/drop so a user can drag media tracks from one listview to another listview and then use the second list view as a playlist in windows media player com object. Reading at MSDN I have found out that there is no built in support for item re-ordering with the listview control. I have listview1 working correctly but when I try to reorder items in listview2, the dragged item ends up at the end of the list. So basically I need to get the item insertion index corrected. I have tried more than 10 times to get this code right.

Icons are loaded fine, but when I start to scroll ListView down or up from scrollbar (clicking from arrows), rowheight drops to about half from normal in next 20-30 rows below/above upper/bottom row (depends from the scrolling position). After 1-2 seconds, ListView is "refreshed" and scrolling continues normally. When focus in on the ListView and I'm moving up/down with arrow keys or PageUp/PageDown, everything is normal. Any suggestions, what is happening? SmallIcons size is 16 * 16. Is it compulsory to set "Blank icon" with SmallIcon size to all rows, when adding them or what? Wasn't like that in VB6, how is it in VB.NET?
