VS 2008 Navigating My Code - Flow Can Jump From Place To Place
Mar 11, 2010Like I imagine everyone, I often have problems navigating my code because the flow can jump from place to place. For example, if my code calls routine1, and I then want to go to routine1's code, I know that I can click in the dropdown menu and it will take me to that sub. But wouldn't it be easier if I could somehow right click on the call to routine way and select something like 'take me there' which would transport me from the function making the call to the code for the function being called? Then it would be easy to hop from place to place.

The only problem is, how do you place an image with its file name with the form-data along with the API key? This is what is stumping me in trying to implement the function.By the way, OpenDialog is already implemented to select the file to upload.

Feb 9, 2012I looked at "How do I place an image with a mouse-click in Javascript?" but it had a small snippet of Java; immensely larger than my knowledge of Java. And that is the closest I've come to finding an answer in the past week. Here's what I would like to do (don't know if its even possible):
I have a panel and a toolstrip with 3 buttons. Each button represents a different image. I want to click on a button (once) and then move into the panel and everytime I click the mouse button it drops the image where ever I clicked. This only ends when either I click back on the same button or one of the other buttons. I do not want to drag an image into the panel each time. In other words the button stays depressed and the event/action stays active.

Feb 12, 2009I have a form with a PictureBox1, Texbox1, TextBox2, and Button1. What I want to be able to do is: Enter a name in TextBox1, and based on that "name", place an Image in PictureBox1 and insert the number of the Image in TextBox2.
Example: In TextBox1 I enter "Gia", and press Button1. The results will be a Image being inserted into Picturebox1 and the IDnumber of that image being inserted into TextBox2. All my images are stored in C:Images. My movie titles are stored in a sql database or a datagrid in the application. I'm very new at this and hopefully I explained this clearly. Nov 30, 2011I am learning Visual Basic 2010 and I am working on a space combat program for my own education and amusement (a simulation of the Honorverse space combat system). I have a routine to add ships to the enemy ship roster and then place them randomly on the viewscreen. When I step through the sub with the debugger, it works fine, but when I run it without stopping, it wants to place all the objects in the same place on the screen. It's actually assigning 2 random numbers pertaining to the size of the viewscreen and assigning those numbers to GameObjectScreenLocation through GameObjectWorldLocation.X and GameObjectWorldLocation.Y. The objects are fully initialized to 0 in their constructor, FYI. Code is below:

The animation needs to be able to move from left to right, then stop in a specific place and then move from bottom to top. However before it moves it should bring up a labels. I have managed to move the boat from right to left using the timer and left and top assets but unable to stop it on a particular place on the form.

VS 2008 Making Program Wait Until Event Has Taken Place?
Apr 1, 2011I have an app that gets info from the internet into a label, the progam then decides which event will hapen depending on the info obtained, either load next form and continue or Application.Exit
My problem is that the speed that the info is returned from the net, varies and because the info is late sometimes the program exits when it should not.
