im creating my own control to replace the Date Calender within 2008. I want to return a list of Years into a combobox for the user to select.
Im aware i can manually add these years but ideally i would like to return a list just like the calender control.
I'm trying to use a combobox to pull the current year and then populate the next ten years. I don't want to manually put in the years in the 'item collections'. I would rather it update automatically based on the system year. How should I go about doing this?
My first instinct is to set the combobox item to the current year based on the system date, then create a loop that increments based on on counter up to current year + 10. I'm assuming this would be done on the 'form_load' event handler???

I want to populate a Combo Box with a list of names and from that have the contact information (address, phone, email, ect..) populate a series of textboxes. The list is roughly 20 names, but it could grow to a hundred or more. Since the contact information changes periodically, I would like a very easy way to maintain it (Excel or Access).
Update: I am just trying to understand whether I should use Linq (have to learn it) or is there some other way this should be done.

I have a form with a textbox that holds data relating to job priority. txtPriority.Text = "Low" or "High" I have an amend button on the form that when clicked displays a cmbPriority object with a list that has "Low" and "High" in the list. When I click the amend button I want to the cmbPriority.SelectedText to = whatever is in txtPriority.Text. The item in the field will always be in the list. EDIT: I cannot validate by trying to extrapolate the value from the caption. I send the Text off to a service to be validated.

I cannot change the validation method to "infer" the value from the caption. I have no control over that service. I have a product table with ProductId,ProductName,ProductCode as fields. I've populated a combobox with productnames. Next I have two other tables called Result_Header and Result_Detail. I need to populated a ComboBox and a CheckedListBox with a list of the Windows Accounts on the host computer. I also need to the user to be able to apply settings to the users individually. Thirdly, I need to find a way to add a startup registry key in the CURRENT_USER for a different user than the "Current User" (For example: User1 is an Administrator. User2 is a Limited Account [can't modify registry]. User1 needs to add Registry key to User2's "CURRENT_USER". This is a parental control application so the Admin accounts need to be able to access the registry from all users without affecting all users at once. I do not have any code to paste because I still have not the foggiest idea of where to start. I think it probably has something to do with an array (I have no experience with arrays whatsoever) but I am stumped from there. I'm a new, self-taught programmer so I speak idiot at times,

I currently have a form with two comboxes. The first cbo is being populated with a project number, which is being pulled from the first column of a spreadsheet. I now want the second cbo to read the first cbo and then find that project number on the spreadsheet; when it finds that project number, I then need it to copy data from the row the project number is on. I can understand since .ini files are pretty outdated, but I'll explain. I have a combo box, and inside the combobox I want it to display the names in a section of the .ini file. So say my .ini file contains the following:

Lastname = Bob
