dataset.tables("table").Select("WHERE clause")
method to query. I then use a datarepeater to display the results. Is there a way to programatically tell if no results are returned? I'm aware of the Dataset.tables.Rows.count, but can this be done after the select method?

I've populated my DataTable will all the results from a SQL search. Upon a button click I want to populate a combobox with all the results where a condition is met. My DataTable as a column called UserID and I want to add all results where the UserID is equal to a set value (for example 12). I can do this to add all results and I guess I could add a if statement inside this to be If Entry.Tag = 12 Then but is there a better way?

I have a form with a large GroupBox on it. Inside there are a total of 22 buttons, arranged in two columns of 11. These buttons are basically shortcuts that can be defined by the user. I am working on Treeview control and Gridview Control VB.NET08. In the Treeview i have Parent and Child Nodes. Like:

How would i delete only the successful inserted rows for insert and then move the non successful rows up and allow the user to correct the data and get it ready for an insert. If i dont delete the successful rows then i will have multiple inserts of the same dataRow and we dont want that! AND if i dont move the data up then it will have blank rows uptop and will end the try and not insert the corrected data. You can better see what logic i am trying to perform at the bottom of my code, right after I insert into the database. Here is my code.

I mean, when I select Product A from Listbox1 (which is getting its values from row "Model" in my database table), I should see its price on Listbox2 which is available in the "Price" row of the same table (and also manipulate this price in different places for calculation etc.) . I am not sure if the best way is using "databinding.filter".

A small note: my aim was using a Richtextbox instead of Listbox but I am told that Richtextbox is not suitable for using with datasources.
I have a form with Check Boxes on it and a second form that holds functions and a Backgroundworker.When a button is pressed on the first form, the second form loads and then runs the functions that relate to the appropriate Check Boxes.Doing it this way causes the second form to become inaccessible. I decided to run my code in the Backgroundworker's DoWork event and then call the RunWorkerAsync method in my form's Activated event. Before using the Backgroundworker, everything worked fine and now it doesn't.I assume the issue is with the Backgroundworker not being able to access controls on another thread.In debug mode,it automatically throws an exception, but doesn't error out when using the Release version, making me assume it's a legal call. But, if it's a legal call, then why can't I access the controls?

I am working on Treeview control and Gridview Control VB.NET08. In the Treeview i have Parent and Child Nodes. Like: [Code] Comparing the Parent Node text and first two digits in the Column values. I want to add rows inbetween the gridview rows based on the parent and Child Nodes. If i expand the First Parent Node Called "31" then according to the Number of Child Nodes (for first parent node(31) there are 5 child nodes.) add rows in the gridview.
These New rows should be add under the 31-xxxx. If i expand the 32 Parent Node based on number of Child Nodes, add rows under the 32-xxxx. [Code] I am getting the rows in the end of the Gridrow not in the Specific row.
I have three sub tables that I want to process. For each I want to combine the rows, as they are only different by contents in the second column(I want to do the same to the fourth column, later):
