VS 2008 HttpWebRequest, 403, Browser- Working?
Jul 14, 2010i have a weird problem: when i use httpwebrequest to download a string from a site, it says 403 forbidden, but when i try to acces the same string from any browser, everything goes normalcode to download string:

VB Web Browser - Stop IE From Opening?
Sep 11, 2008I am working on a tabbed web browser and it is going great! Only one problem! When someone presses on a link that has a target of _blank or a new window, it opens in IE!
I have tried things like:

but that only cancels IE from opening. What I want is it to open in a new tab. I have set it so that NewTab() opens the new tab to the users homepage.
Basically, I need to find out how to get the URL of what the browser is trying to open.

Mar 24, 2009I have a form with a tab control on it. I've coded all of my button clicks, but for some reason when I do an F5, some of the buttons aren't working. If i go into the code I see the code for the onclick, but if I go back to the designer and click on one of the buttons, I get a new onclick section. Will the code for the button break if i move the buttons around the panels?

Nov 29, 2011I recently did an upgrade on my computer.I went from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2010.I also have Crystal reports 2008 installed. Everything seemed to be working fine for several weeks until Crystal Reports just stopped working.When I open crystal reports now it locks up.Crystal Reports opens up and goes to the start page but the hour glass never goes away and you cant do anything with the program.The screen just seems to lock up and the only way to exit the program is to end task.
Ive tried repairing the installation which didnt work and then I completely uninstalled crystal reports then did a fresh install which didnt work.You can also create a crystal reports with Visual Studio but before doing so you have to download Crystal Reports for Visual Studio for 2010.Visual Studio 2007 also had a crystal reports builder which I used for a while but I got to the point where I liked Crystal so much that I just went out and bought the whole program Crystal Reports program.After I installed crystal reports I could no longer create reports through visual studio 2007 interface,I had to create my reports indepently with crystal reports.That was fine with me because you had a much richer user interface with the full version.

Function Keys Stop Working While Using Windows Media Player
Sep 29, 2011I am developing a vb.net media application using Windows Media Player which is working fairly well. However, I am having problems where the Function key handler will stop working after doing anything on the media control panel, i.e. mute, move the slider etc. So long as I don't touch the panel everything continues to work. I'm using the function keys to pull up menus for selecting other media and if I do anything with the control panel I can no longer display the menus.

I need to detect if F3 key is pressed while the web browser is active, so a dialog box will appear for a particular functionality of the application. But unfortunately web browser control does not have keyup, keydown or similar event to help me detect if the F3 key is pressed. As far as I know, one way to solve this problem is adding a menu which has F3 shortcut. But my application does not contain any menus, so I dont want use a menu in this part of the application.

I know how to make the webbrowser1.navigate via textbox1.text with multiple lines, however I want my webbrowser to navigate to each url every 1-1.5 seconds once button1 is clicked. Yes, my webbrowser1 will navigate to the specified urls via the textbox1.text (multilines) with a button click, but I need the webbrowser1 to navigate in a order sequence from top to bottom of Textbox1.text (multiplelines) every 1 second. Web Browser Control Working Offline - (Cached Web Pages) Only?
Aug 18, 2011Is there a way to work the web browser control for viewing off-line (Cached web pages) only? Is it possible to view cached web pages from IE9 on a web browser control off-line? The reason i am asking this question is because IE9 automatically switches from off-line mode to on-line mode when it cannot find something in the cache by default. VS 2008 Cannot Seem To Get A Working Filter In Working Order
Jun 18, 2009It appears that my favorite thing in the world is tackling projects that are beyond my current knowledge and abilities. I have a little project that I am working on which is a simple image viewer stocked with (upon completion) your standard Load..., Next/Previous, Zoom In/Out, Actual Size, and Full Screen capabilities. However, I am running into a few snags:
(1) I've been able to get my "Load..." button to display a file dialog box, but I cannot seem to get a working filter (with which only image file types are allowed to be selected) in working order.
(2) I have a PictureBox object (entitled PictureBox1) that displays the image selected via the file dialog box, but it loads images in their full size (1:1/100% zoomed) state without scrollbars, etc. to allow me to navigate the loaded image. I would like to have it load the image, initially, to fit within the dimensions of PictureBox1 and from there be able to zoom in/out via my "Zoom In/Out" and "Actual Size" buttons and be able to scroll if the zoom level is beyond the dimensions of PictureBox1.
(3) It dawned on me that I haven't the faintest idea how to get my "Next/Previous" buttons to allow the user (me) to navigate, in succession, the images contained in the folder in which the currently loaded image is stored. [code]

VS 2008 - Tabbed Browser Automation - Send Commands To A Tabbed Browser?
Dec 7, 2009I was just wondering how I could send commands to a tabbed browser. Such as navigation. I know of webbrowser1.navigate, but that will not work with the tabbed browser. I would also like to use an commands to automatically login. But I am not sure how I could do that in a tabbed browser either. Webbrowser1.document.getelementbyid does not work for this.

Feb 26, 2009Alright, so I'm still working on the slot machine. I have three timers all independently going for my three "wheels" of the slot machine.
My issue, is that I'm trying to make a Stop button to stop each timer one at a time, and I'm not understanding why this code isn't working. The logic completely makes sense, and the first "wheel" stops when I click the button, however, it doesnt appear to stop the other two timers.

VS 2010 : Use A Stop Button To Stop A Loop?
Dec 7, 2009I created a form and have the variable inputs for 4 motor run statements. Then with a start button the script starts and it is surrounded by a for next statement to loop 10 times. It works fine but if i need to stop the execution of the script with a stop button. I put the stop in a new section but of course does not work to do a motor stop. It just causes the exe to not respond till the loop is complete. Just need to be able to stop the Run1_Click button section.
Edit:I do not mind if it finishes the 4 motor run commands and then stops execution of the loop. So need to figure out a way to trigger a stop from a button on the form to stop the cycle. For the future the loop will be a variable integer input so 10 will not be the standard.
Edit::Does a ' Do ' statement sound like the thing to use? If so how and where would I place that? Have a Stop button on the form and it would stop after the 4th motor run command.
