VS 2008 Bookmarks And History?
Jun 3, 2011i have made a basic web browser, i am trying to add bookmarks and history on to it. I have made a basic bookmarks form where you can add pages, but i want when you double click on a bookmark for it to open in the browser, and i have added a button to add the current page into the bookmarks, but that does not have any code as i did not know where to start.
Also i have not made a template for history as i did not know where to start, please help me out as i really want to get a fully working web browser. Also i have put a link for you to look at the code, and i know the media player is affecting the tabs, i would like to keep the media player but would not like it to auto open if you can also help there (i didnt put that in a friend did)

Apr 17, 2009I've been attempting to tinker around with connecting a MS access database to a vb 2008 app. I've successfully connected and can access the data by using the add data sources tab. But what I'm trying to do is create a form that has a (1) single line text box, (1) button, and (1)multi line text box. I enter a name in the single line text box, click the button(search db), and when the info is found, it is displayed in the multi-line text box.

I have two picture boxes on my form, I have a previous and next button on the bottom of the form, then I just need to know how to setup my loop for cycling through each picture. Jul 7, 2009Well after coding a very basic image viewing application all seemed well. All animated .gif files played beautifully, all .png, .jpg, .bmp, etc, initiated well. However I've now, for some unkown reason, hit a snag. The animated .gif files still play, but they crash after a few seconds of play. Providing this error:

Jul 9, 2011I am trying to move from the old ADO to the new ADO .NET . However , no matter how many tutorials I read over the internet , I still can't find a way to do something which , as I believe , has to be very simple I tried to mimic the way the graphic control did but I am missing some things ... I noticed that , in the graphic way , the wizard created 4 controls :- a DataGridView control- a DataSet control- a BindingSource control- a TableAdapter controlI recreated all of them and filled their correspondent properties , but yet I can't make it work . I think what I am missing is the connection itself . I looked on the internet and I think a connection can be made and opened like this :

Dec 5, 2009I am creating basic slideshow form to finish off an app I am writing. I have been at it all day finishing off the main app and am getting very tired now!!
Anyway, I have a form (which is called by another form) with just a Picturebox and a Timer on it. I use the following code to read in all the images in a folder:

As this just points to the array of images and not a single image and there is no way of telling it to move to the next image each time.
Viewing A Hostfile In Textbox?
Dec 1, 2011I have a program to add and remove sites from the HOST file. So, sorta like a site blocker. I kinda wish I had a chicken in a police outfit giving the stop! hand sign and name it cock blocker :P anyways... To read what sites/ip's are blocked I'm just reading the HOST file in a read only textbox. I was wanting to know if I can read everything but the crud at the top of the file(Describing how to edit the HOST file manually). How could I do that? Here is my code I'm using to read the HOST file:

Mar 16, 2010We are trying to view reports with MS SQL 2008 reporting services for a custom web application.We have MS SQL 2008 Express full install. We've tested the application from our IDE and it works. Once published to the web server we get the following error:
404 - File or directory not found.The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.I syuspect this may have something to to with IIS 7.0 setting, since it works in the IDE but not on the server, but I have been unable to figure out what the issue is.Here is our code.[code].....

Mar 24, 2010Been working on a Web Browser in VB 2008 Express, and so far things have been going good. I have run into a little problem though. I have a menu bar at the top of the browser as normal and one of the items selects is "View" and then under that "Page Source".
Now, i have added the following code and it works as expected but one problem. When the box opens to display the web page source it has no scroll bars, minimize or maximize buttons to manipulate the page.

Viewing The Database Records?
Jun 10, 2009I used visual basic 2008 express edition and I read the "How Do I" tutorial and I went over with it but there are still some instances I can't find or figure out and I need some assistance. I used the LinqtoSQL classes in my project, I have one database and has one table in it,now here is the output of my project.Everytime I first run my project I would be able to view all the records in the table that is inserted in the datagridview on one of my form w/c has existing records that Ive added when I input records when running but when you add new records into it and after adding the new records when you view it right away it would only display the records in 4 fields or 4column of my table and I have 8 fields or 8 columns in my table the rest are blanks but when you exit the program and run it again that's the time you can be able to view all the records in the datagridview attached on a form.I want that when I add records and view it would display all the records w/out needing to exit the program.

When i launch a playlist i need to keep pressing (next) button to get to the song i want. So, when i launch a playlist(*.wpl) i want it to be shown in a listbox or a treenode... whatever, but in a way that i could play and view the songs i have already put in it.

(e.g 01/02/2012 to 01/05/2012 ) on ur filter command it'll display on a listbox the user who logged in at their specific date and time and what they have accessed inside the program.
