I am using a Webbrowser control to access the elements in an HTML page which contains a JavaScript link which when clicked, adds extra content to the page. This works fine in IE 7 and Firefox.I then want to access this extra content in my program. Having found the HTML element containing the link, I tried element.InvokeMember("click"). I have used this successfully with a submit-type link to login to the web site, but cannot get it to work with the JavaScript link. I also tried setting the focus to the link element and using SendKeys to send the ENTER key, but all to no avail. Nothing seems to happen. I don't see the extra content produced by the JavaScript, nor do I get an error.Here is an extract from the HTML, showing the relevant (I hope) code:

My VB.NET code is supposed to execute third party Javascript code in an attempt to fill in and submit a form. This process consists of five steps, and I have been able to submit the form when all the steps are kept separate (i.e. behind 5 separate consecutive button clicks). Now, what I'd like to have is one button to handle all the five steps.
The problem is that the form originally only appears after calling "webbrowser.Navigate" command, which apparently modifies the page's HTML code. I seem to be unable to detect when Javascript has finished loading the new HTML in order to fill and submit the form. I have tried a timer control to wait for a certain HTML element ID to appear, but in vain. [URL]

If you know the FireBug addin for Firefox, it's very similar to that. But what I need to do after this, is take the HTML source, and find where they clicked. But when I get the DocumentText of the webbrowser control, it's the original source. Not the source with the added class name.Is there a way to get the source code with the javascript generated html?

I have take suggestions about using regex to capture the onclick statements but that does not seem to help since it does not capture anything. Here is an example of what the html contains:

I have a master page which contains everything that inherits it within a form. A page inheriting from it needs to run some javascript to act on a text field on a page. However, I can't seem to reference that text field through the javascript, since the form begins on the master page. The following line will come up bogus: document.form1.txtFindUser.value = blah.responseText; This is because form1 is defined on the master page, while txtFindUser is on the current page.

I have a parent page and child page, both aspx. All is working, but now I would like to close child page, if user leaves child popup page and goes back to parent page and clicks on something else like page index of Gridview. I CANNOT close popup child page if user goes to another app, or some other location, I only want to close if something on parent page is changed.
I have the PageIndexChange Event set up for other purposes, I would just like to add some functionality, perhaps a script manager to close the child popup page if the Gridview index is changed, java or another way which ever works best.I think I might also need to check if the child page is even open.

First off...I am as green as it gets with VB. I have created an app that will load an image file(yourimage.jpg), preview it, strip the extension (yourimage), upload to server via FTP as (yourimage.jpg)and send an email with the link to it ( url/yourimage.html) . What I really need now is to be able to enter the code in VB to actually create the HTML page with the name as the link.The HTML page needs to load the image and have a form below it. I have a active form already online that uses e-forms to send responses back to me.
View 4 RepliesI built a specialized userControl using VB2008 (on XP 32-bit) to embed in HTML (not ASP!) and compiled it, pointing to x86 CPUs. I added the necessary keys to the registry (see attachment) to declare a classId in a HTML 'object' tag. This scheme works OK on all 32-bit OS I could put my hands on, but fails to load on 64-bit: I could test only on XP and Win 2003. No error message and Fiddler does not even know something happened... I installed VS2008 on the XP 64-bit machine and ported the code to a fresh userControl (to check the code). I got the userControl running on this workstation without any trouble. I copied this new DLL on another workstation and added the necessary keys to the register, but to no avail. I checked the registry and the 'Wow64' keys are there allright. As a check (and to provide you with a 'working' example), I:
- built a very simple userControl on the 32-bit environment (label, textbox and button to display the text in a mMessage box),
- on the 32-bit workstation:

I am having trouble extracting links from a web page and it involves javascript running on a website that contains the url links i need. I have encountered this issue before and was able to resolve it by getting the javascript file and then parsing it for the links. I have a HTML checkbox which will perform a simple validation on another textbox, so the textbox will only be enabled if the checkbox is checked, but I also want to access this checkbox control in code behind to check and uncheck it. I don't think I can use the runat="server" because on the onClick event which will cause ('<%=uitxtVouTypeRedeemValue.ClientID%>') to be output as plain text.

how do I disable browsing to a http link from a Html editor. I have a vb.net web form with a html editor, when I add a hyperlink to the html editor, for example my application website for instance[URL]...When I run and click the link I can browse my application from inside the Html Editor which is so weird.It should open the link in a new window. How do I stop this from happening.This is an Intranet application. And the component for Html Editor is of TMS.

I was offered this interesting scenario by a visitor of my site and have been trying a few approaches, but not seeming to get it quite right. I have a Form with a WebBrowser control (or an AxWebBrowser if that works too) and on the page loaded in the browser, is a link that uses javascript to open a new popup window.This popup window I am unable to take "ownership" of and it launches in a new instance of the user's default browser (IE for this scenario). I need to then interact with that javascript popup window which now is not part of my application. If I needed to set a value of an input box on that form, how would I accomplish that if I can't "interact" with the form?

I'm downloading a page and stripping out the HTML. I actually stripped out everything successfully, but there is something weird with the "<br />" tag..
When I try to replace <br />, I can't detect it..
Unlike other HTML tags such as <br> and such, <br /> does not show up as a text in my TextBox.. it shows up as a BOX and messes up the whole formatting.Does anybody know how I can go about removing the boxes from my textbox?
