Oct 22, 2009I have a filesystemwatcher that watches a couple of folders! The files coming to the watched folder are coming from a server. And for some reason the created event is not raised..If i move the files for a sec from the watched folder to a another folder and then copy them back to the watched folder it all works fine! Strange.So if the created event is raised from the same computer that the service is installed on it works great, but not if the files are coming from another computer.

May 29, 2009I am a sys admin for a company and our programmer left several months ago. a program they wrote is now failing and i am struggling to work out why. the program basically pulls data from a csv file into a readable form, written in visual basic. the application works on a couple of machines but not on a couple of others. i have matched up .Net framework versions, MS Primary Interop Assembly versions, still no joy. As the app works on some pc's i am wondering what other differences could cause this?

How To Move Folders
Mar 30, 2012How does one go about moving a directory using VS2005? I have a treeview that is populated with the network's directory structure, but only on a much smaller scale. When the folder is selected in the treeview, the full path is displayed in a label.
This is the source folder. The destination folder will be hardcoded. The issue is that its only moving the files within the source folder and not the folder and its contents. I have tried using the Directory.Move but kept getting an odd error, "Cannot create a file when that file already exists." It doesn't exist in the destination folder...odd[code...]

It runs so quick, and at a glance shows
"the network path is not valid"
No folders are moved from G:ippinyUtilityTestFolder to C:AutoCollectionReceivedFolder.N/B: TestFolder has few folders underneath and I need to move folders over.

May 23, 2012I'm trying to select the files and folders inside a folder to zip up, but what it seems to be doing is selecting all the folders up to the folder i've selected and the files in the final folder but not the folders in there and zipping them up. So for example in tbFolder I have the string: "C:Users ombDesktopDeOldMota7" I want to select this folder and zip up the entire contents of this folder, images and all. But whats happening is the following:
Its creating the folder structure up to the folder i want zipped and adding just the files in side this and not the folders. I'm guessing I need to tweak the line:
