why my code isn't deleting the selected row in my ListView from my SQL table? it says it works fine in run time and removes the seleced row from the ListView but when i restart the program its there again.
Obviously this is because my code isnt actually deleting the data from the SQL table but i cant work out why not? the code for my delete button is as follows

Results are that I get is an exact list moved from ListView_AllAddresses to ListView_DuplicatesRemoved.
i split a string and store at listbox.The problem that i face now is how to add 4 new column at existing table("customer") and put the listbox data into these 4 new column.

My requirement is that I want to transfer selective data from listview to Inventory table based on ItemId. Like i have ItemId 1,2 3 4 to 32. I want that only data relating to ItemId 2,3,4 and 5 be transferred to Inventory table and the rest of data be transferred to other table.

I am currently building a tool which uses access as the backend and excel as the user interface (I am unable to change the applications).I would like to be able to use the listview option, howver I haven't a clue and searching on the internet is causing me a headache.
Basically what I would like to do is get the heading names from the table in access and populate the listview, later on I will what it to look at specifc data to populate the list view.

I need to grab some data from a webpage but for me the main problem is I can't grab the data the way I want. I want to grab the data in a listview control but my code is fetching all data within any span tag (span class "inputFieldLabel" which is not required) in a single column of a listview control. I am trying to search through listview in VB.net 2008. It works fine with small list, but when the list is big ( around 25000 rows), if I search multiple items , it fails saying that index is not valid. Obviously what I understand is , it it tryiong to remove an index does not exist. But I am unable to figure out where exactly it is going wrong.

I have a ListView in my project that has dynamically added/edited/deleted items. When the user deletes an item, I want the item that replaces the deleted item to be highlighted. I tried simply storing the deleted item's index then highlighting the item there (list.Items(index).Selected = True). This works well unless the item deleted was the last item in the ListView (both literally and sequentially). I'm having issues today with logic and can't quite come up with code that checks for these kinds of cases.

I was generously guided by the community to use LINQ to find duplicates on my listboxes the last time around. However, I am now in a tough spot because I need to find and remove duplicates from a multicolumn list view. I tried using LINQ but it says that the listview object is not "queryable". Ihave created a system that allows an IT manager to log faults and assign them to available technicians, basically, you select a member of staff, a technician and describe the fault and then log it. But what I want to be able to do is take the technician out of the table until the fault is cleared and the technician is free. I have started this process but my head is spinning and I am not 100% where to turn next. I currently have a Busy field in the technician table and I have the code that allows the technician's busy status to change to 0 instead of 1 but I cannot for some reason get it to turn back to 1 when I clear the fault.

I am going crazy trying to figure this one out. I have been told many times that you can get the data of a column in a listview in this manner: YourListView.SelectedItems(0).SubItems(1).text This does not work. I have a ListView called EmployeeListView that is correctly populated by my database. There are three columns: (0) is First name, (1) is Last name and (2) is Employee ID. I can see the information in the ListView when I run the program. What I need to do is to pull out the Employee ID and put that into a variable called EmpID.

If the number of records is less then it works fine, but if there is more number of records then it takes more time to load(very slow).

I'm trying to build an app using WPF and I want to display a load of data from some tab delimited log files in a data grid style. I know there is no DGV control for WPF so after watching a few "forms over data" videos on the MSDN site I figured I should be able to do it using a ListView with DataGrid tags within it.So after messing about with the XAML code for a bit I managed to create my column headers in my ListView etc and I can load data into it fine if there's just one column... but obviously I need more than one column.
So I thought fine I just create my extra columns and then use ListViewItem and ListViewSubItem classes to create the content for the listview and then add them to it. However, it seems that ListViewSubItem does not even exist in WPF and the ListViewItem doesnt seem to have any way of editing separate column data. For example, if I set ListViewItem.Content = "some text" and then add that to the ListView it just sets "Some text" in all 5 of the columns I have.All of the examples on MSDN are using data bound listviews and I dont want mine to be data bound I just want to manually load it with items.
