Removing Duplicate Items From A Multicolumn Listview

I was generously guided by the community to use LINQ to find duplicates on my listboxes the last time around. However, I am now in a tough spot because I need to find and remove duplicates from a multicolumn list view. I tried using LINQ but it says that the listview object is not "queryable". Is there a way for me to find and remove duplicates using only one column of the listview? [code]The code now runs fine when I call it. But it does not remove the duplicates:

I got one problem. I did simple listview-saver, (with 1 line) and all working (import, export)...
But i want to add new colums. But I don't know how to export or inport them.

I am populating a combobox with data from a .txt file; however, there are 1000 entries but only 4 different possibilites 1, 2, 3, and 4. How can I have the combobox only allow a selection of the 1-4 with repeating all 1000 numbers?

I am trying to search through listview in VB.net 2008. It works fine with small list, but when the list is big ( around 25000 rows), if I search multiple items , it fails saying that index is not valid. Obviously what I understand is , it it tryiong to remove an index does not exist. But I am unable to figure out where exactly it is going wrong.

i have never created one and the manual is to difficult to understansi want to create a listview as shown belowhow do i go about doing this,using laymans terms.I dragged a listview control onto the form, but then im stuck. how do you add columns (which are actually displayed on the control), i have added columns in the properties but they cant be seen in the listview.

I am using a datareader to pull data from my database. I store the data in a multidimensional array in a seperate class file. I access the values in the array from a form through properties.The problem I am having is when I run the project as I step through the code I can see the values being added to the array but when access it from a string property it shows up as string System.String[,]. I would like to have my array transposed accross the listview under the corresponding column. below is the code I am using.

I have been working on a pythagorean theorem calculator and am actually stuck on the final bit of code. What I am trying to do is check the values (integers) inside a listbox, remove duplicate number (both values), and input one of the values into a textbox.
Here is an example of what I am doing:

When the program runs, check listbox value #1 and listbox value #2, if listbox value #1 and #2 match (2 & 2), input that value (not both duplicates) into a variable, remove both of the duplicate values, continue checking the rest of the values, and finally multiply the leftover values. I am sure that sounds confusing. Here is what the final output will look like

I am reading a textfile and extracting information from each line. For example string1 and string2. I am then writing these string to a datatable.
However, sometimes there will be repeats in string1 and string2.
If there are repeated lines I would like to be able to delete the repeating line and add a counter to find the total number of repeating lines.
so if a string repeates 3 times I would like there to be a column with a 3 displayed next to the line in my datatable.

I have a List(of String). For example: {"C1", "C12", "C10", "C1", "C6", "C22", "C1", "C6"}. I am trying to write a function to give me a list of duplicates: {"C1", "C6"} in the list. Each duplicate will be listed only once. The function I wrote does give me anything back at all. I'm designing a web page with two dropdownlists, one for the Make of a car, the other for the Model, both bound to a database with separate SQLDataSources, and using a distinct statement. I add "All" at the top of both by setting appendDataBoundItems = true and adding items named all. Then when I fill the Make with a querystring all the model items get added twice (but only the databound items).

So I have three listboxes, LB1 is an uploaded list, LB2 is a master list, and LB3 is generated from LB1 items that are NOT in LB2. I have a button that replaces the selected item from LB1 with the selected item from LB2, woot.Since LB3 is a subset of LB1, I want to be able to select the items from LB2 and LB3 and have it replace the item from LB1 but running into some trouble with finding the appropriate item without selecting it. highlight Fred from LB1 and Freddy from LB2, click and Fred becomes Freddy in LB1. I want this same change to happen but by selecting the "Fred" located in LB3 (If LB1 is hundreds of names long, I don't want to have to sift through it and only make the changes that need to be made). [code]

Im working on a school project where i add items to a listbox in two columns. The first being the name of a course and the second being the credit hours of the course. I can add and remove the items just fine BUT when i remove an item im also required to subtract the credit hours of said item from a variable i have called "totalhours." Essentially im trying to figure out how to subtract a certain piece of a selected listbox item from my class level variable.

It only deletes 1 listbox item while there are more items that have to be deleted.after debugging i get this:List that this enumerator is bound to has been modified. An enumerator can only be used if the list does not change.

I have a ListView in my project that has dynamically added/edited/deleted items. When the user deletes an item, I want the item that replaces the deleted item to be highlighted. I tried simply storing the deleted item's index then highlighting the item there (list.Items(index).Selected = True). This works well unless the item deleted was the last item in the ListView (both literally and sequentially). I'm having issues today with logic and can't quite come up with code that checks for these kinds of cases.

I have a VB.NET project with XHEO licensing(to license a product) and for that I am using <projetname>.PLSK file which was added to the my solution. When I tried create a new .plsk instead of existing one I got a error while building. The error is like this.
"The item "objRelease<projectname>.plsk" was specified more than once in the "Resources" parameter. Duplicate items are not supported by the "Resources" parameter.
I am sure there is only one plsk file and when I tried to build with previous .plsk file got the same error. Where is that resource parameter are stored. How to delete that?
