View 1 RepliesI have a VB.NET project with XHEO licensing(to license a product) and for that I am using <projetname>.PLSK file which was added to the my solution. When I tried create a new .plsk instead of existing one I got a error while building. The error is like this.

I got an error when I tried to open the designer for one of my forms in Visual Basic 2010 express and I had the option to ignore it so I clicked that (which I regret doing so much) and now my form is erased,but I still have the code for it.I tried right clicking and selecting show designer but it just brings up a blank form. I had a datagrid control called "DataGrid1" and when i tried adding a new control to the blank form it says that "DataGrid1" already exists but it doesn't.So after I resolved the first 85 errors I got one more that doesn't make sense:

I have one form in my project, and the project built and ran just fine until I added a method to it. There are no other errors. I tried deleting the files from the project folder it claims duplicates of, and when trying to rebuild, the files are just added back and the error is thrown again. Additionally, I have also tried deleting my *.resx files, and the project will not compile and run without them either.

How would one go about checking a listbox's items for duplicates? Basically I need to write a program that displays the teams from a text file provided by my instructor, in alphabetical order. I can do that, but what I can't figure out is how to prevent the For loop from adding a duplicate team. What I'm envisioning is:

This works except that my listbox is filled with the team every player is in rather than just listing all possible teams. Not exactly looking for someone to just give me the answer, as I understand things best when figuring them out on my own, so I suppose a hint is what I'm really after.

I'm designing a web page with two dropdownlists, one for the Make of a car, the other for the Model, both bound to a database with separate SQLDataSources, and using a distinct statement. I add "All" at the top of both by setting appendDataBoundItems = true and adding items named all. Then when I fill the Make with a querystring all the model items get added twice (but only the databound items).

I want to only grab the first occurrence of those and ignore the next object with that PlanId. Error Message: "This server version is not supported. Only servers up to Microsoft SQL 2005 are supported VB.NET" I am using VB.NET 2008 and attempting to connect to SQL Server 2008 with XP as the operating system. I have service pack 1 installed in Visual Studio but this error message presists. The articles I have read on this error said to install sp1 as a solution but I have done that and the error persists. FYI, the error does not occur when I am using code to connect to SQL Server but when I attempt to connect using one of the designer wizards this error occure.

This codes works perfectly but there is a problem, if I close that certain form and reopen it and try to input the same student number, the ex.Message for the Try appears and still the progressbar() command executes although the data will not be saved.
