I have a MySQL database which acts as a source for a datagridview, is there anyway I can set colors to the rows based on values in a cell? So that if the value in a row in the field "Priority" is "yes" then the row is red?
View 2 RepliesI want to make a certain column of my datagridview red based on values from 2 other columns. I have a "HI" column, a "LOW" column and a "Result" Column which are all strings. Now I want to make the result column red if it's values is less than the "LOW" columns value or if it's value is greater than the "HI" columns value. I tried the following code but something is wrong because cells that shouldn't be red are red:

I have a big datagridview that has a list of items, that have several states, every state has a date. My dgv will look like this:

The same item can have multiple states in the same date, for example: The item1 enters the factory in the date1, and leaves the factory in the same date1, what i need it's that the intersection cell, have one line with the background in green with an F (means that the item enters in the factory), and in the same cell, but in another line (multiline) in the same cell i need another F but this time with the background red (means that item leaves the factory).
The usuals columns doesn't allow me to do this, i created a simple code to use a image column and then draw a image that does what i want, but i don't like the final results and it's a little slow, and when i select the full row, i don't have the usual selected cell visual effect in this columns... I was thinking to create a datagridview column with a different type (inherited) but i don't know what column to use as base column for my column, image column and then paint the content of another control in the cell or another type?

Im working with a DataGridView with an imported CSV file where the values are delimited with (,).. The grid works perfectly fine. My ultimate goal is to hide the grid out of view from the user and access the data in the grid based on the coordinates of the grid specified i.e (The cell in column 5, row 6 contains the value "Taco") and I want to save that value to a variable...Eventually I want to loop through all the values of a column and save them to individual variables to be later used. I am attempting to copy the value of the TimeStamp in cell A6 which has the NOW() formula into cell A5 Based on a change in Cell A4. The catch is I don't want it to update every time the sheet is recalculated due to updating links in other cells on the sheet. ONLY when Cell A4 Changes. What do I do?

Like: [Code] Comparing the Parent Node text and first two digits in the Column values. I want to add rows inbetween the gridview rows based on the parent and Child Nodes. If i expand the First Parent Node Called "31" then according to the Number of Child Nodes (for first parent node(31) there are 5 child nodes.) add rows in the gridview.
These New rows should be add under the 31-xxxx. If i expand the 32 Parent Node based on number of Child Nodes, add rows under the 32-xxxx. [Code] I am getting the rows in the end of the Gridrow not in the Specific row.
I have a ListView that I populate with running processes and would like to highlight specific rows based on the amount of memory consumption. After I add the processes to the list and and call the WorkingSet64 property of the process, I tried this:

Processes is the variable I used to grab the collection of processes. proc is defined as a variable and then used to loop through the processes.
lvi is of course the ListViewItems in the ListView.So, by the code I have above, I loop through the ListViewItems, and if any of the processes are above or equal to 2000, then I set the background color to Yellow.
However, it sets every line to yellow, and I can't seem to figure out to set only those processes that have a WorkingSet64 above 2000.
Would I need to loop through the processes and then set the background color of the ListViewItem based on that? That kind of makes sense to me, but if I do that, I'm not sure how to set it just for those processes. Maybe by setting a separate variable?
I am working on a page where I need to highlight different events in a day with different colors in a ASP.NET Calendar Cell. The events are store in a database with a start date column.
For example, if we have two different events for today, the cell should display half green and half red color. If there are three events for today, it would 1/3 green, 1/3 red, 1/3 blue in the cell for today.
In addition, currently I use tooltip in jquery to hover a cell, it would display a tooltip above the cell. How to handle this when we have different events in one cell?
I have populated a ListView with currently running processes and with the help of JMC, been able to highlight specific rows based on memory consumption. However, I've decided to change it up a little bit and change the color of rows based on whether the process is owned by the User, if it's a System process, or if is a Service. I've already been able to determine if the process is a User process by utilizing the OpenProcessToken.

How can I create alternating background colors for listview rows while only using ItemTemplate? I don't want to use AlternateTemplate because I would have to edit both of them everytime I want to change something when all I'm using it for is to create the alternating background colors. I want to run a macro that searches through the cells and tests to see if they have a substring sitting at the end of the value that is in the format "-Q[number]-[number][number]" OR "-[3 LETTER MONTH ABBREVIATION][number]-[number][number]" OR "-[3 LETTER MONTH ABBREVIATION][number][number]-[number][number]"and then if the test is true, the cell color is changed to RED.So if I ran the macro on the example I gave above, it would turn the cells with the following values red:

I am creating a project in VB.NET in which one of the reports require that the name of employees should be displayed as column names and whatever work they have done for a stated period should appear in rows below that particular column.Now as it is clear, the columns will have to be added at runtime. Am using an ODBC Data source to populate the grid. Also since a loop will have to be done to find out the work done by employees individually, so the number of rows under one column might be less or more than the rows in the next column.Is there a way to create an empty data table and then update its contents based on columns and not add data based on addition of new rows.

I have no experience what so ever in using any database with VB.NET let alone MySQL.Just FYI, at the moment I am only trying to Query the database to gather the information required to activate. The Activation wizard and algorithm building (which is finished anyway), and everything else will come soon.
