VS 2010 Add Button To Border Of All Or Specific Apps?

I'm finishing up an app for work that will work hand in hand with another app.
What I'd really like to do, is setup a method to add a button to the other apps border. So all they have to do is click that button when in that other app, do their business and move on.
Now, if I hadn't seen it before, I most certainly would've thought that this wouldn't be possible. But I've seen TeamViewer do it.
In that image, TeamViewer created a two-way arrow button and when clicked, displays a small panel of some sort with additional options.
I'm 99.99% sure I'll have to use Windows APIs, but I'm not sure where to begin.
I would like to know how to set the specific cell border size to insetdouble.I search some document, there is dataGridViewAdvancedBorderStyle, but how to apply to specific cells in data grid view
If I use a button, I can't get rid of the white border apearing around it as soon as I press it. It stays there even after until I press something else. In the button properties I declared the Flatstyle as Standard because I like that look the most.
I'm on page 243 of "Sam's Teach Yourself Visual Basic 2008" and it says: * Display the ViewerForm form in the Form Designer * Double-click on the Draw Border button on the toolbar. Only -- I don't see a Draw Border button on the toolbar.
I am setting my Winforms Button control properties to appear as a hyperlink would on a web page. I've formatted everything fine, except the border in the FlatAppearance object. I have code to act as pseudo-CSS (FormBackColor is a string constant.):
The code removes the border from the flat Button control except on MouseOver, where I add a 1 pixel border. On MouseLeave, I remove the border. This is to show some visual feedback. This works fine when the button does not have the focus. However, if I click on the button, giving the button focus, mousing out and over again now shows a greater than 1 pixel border around the button. I'm imagining it's combining my button's explicit 1 pixel border with the traditional "Winform Button has the focus, so add a border" border around the Button.How can I disable/remove the "Winform Button has the focus, so add a border" border? Or, should I just do a check in ButtonMouseOver to check if the control has the focus, being a condition of adding the border, and just be done with it?
I was playing around with designing a custom interface for a test application and I am using a custom image for a close button. I am using the FlatStyle properties to define it's look'n'feel. I've set the border to 0 but when the application loses focus, the border of the button shows up.I have tried to force the property to go 0 again when the application's "LostFocus" event is captured but doesn't work.I am also using a "rollover" method using MouseHover and MouseLeave events to change the image of the button.Using Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition.
How to set the BUTTON border line color transparent? Because my BUTTON background pic is not a square. So when i click the button i will see the border line ..
Would it be possible to add a .exe to my resources and when the user clicks a button on the form it will create a directory ( C:My apps ).then add the .exe from my resources and launch the .exe from that folder.

I have a little problem with the shadow of a button when in popup style. [code] This fat border only disappear if I click another button; then the fat border is instead on that button. I'm sure this is by design, but I want this button style without this "feature". Is it possible to avoid the remaining border shadow behavior?
I had a user ask me today if I could make it so they could simply drag and drop text from other programs into the app I've written. I found an old (2002 & 2003) article on drag and drop, but I'm sure things have been made better since then.
Anyone doing this today can point me in the right direction? Is this much of a pain to enable?
is there as simple way to pass data between 2 apps? it seems DDE support this, but vb.net 2010 seems not support DDE anymore. in my program, I need launch another exe, then wait the exe finish, and get the export data.
both apps are in the same solution. one method I can think of is: writing the data into a xml file, then load it from the main exe when the second exe is done.is there an easier way to do this?
i am making an app for my media server, but now i ran into a little problem. Once i press pause on my app, i want it to pause my VLC player. One way is to press Space bar in VLC. Is there any way to send the Space bar key to VLC? (or is this not possible in VB.net, If not: witch coding language should i use?)

How we can create a form with border like calendar border. I changed ControlBox to False and Text to vbnullstring. but only when FormBorderStyle is Sizable or SizableToolWindow form border apears. I noticed that when some of my buttons are clicked, this ugly black rectangle appears in it, around the central text. It only happens to the buttons with a "Flat" style applied to them.
I create an app, with it when I click a button it opens a new form on a second monitor. This works perfectly, but every first time the app start and I open the second form, on my primary screen (right side) I see the border of the second form. When I click the button again, the form is hidden, and when I click it again, it appears again but then the border is gone. What I want is that the border is gone the first time and never appears.

I want to divide the content in my application to groups each group has its own rectangle border with the group name located at the top border, i've seen it before and i'm not sure what is the correct name of this control, anyone knows what I'm talking about ? i'm having a few small problems concerning my MDI child forms.
1). I have a panel that is docked to the parent form so i can change the background colour of the parent form. (the background property doesn't seem to work on MDI parents).But my childforms appear underneath this panel, is there a way to make them appear on top of the panel? (i've tried using .topmost = true).
2). Is there a way to remove the 3d border style of a MDI parent form?
When changing a textbox border style to "none," and the font size to anything higher than the default 8.5, everything is fine unless if the letter goes downward ('g', 'y', 'j', etc). This is most noticeable with the g. I've linked a picture here, and I have no solution to have each character come out clearly. If I'm using another textbox border, it works fine. If I use the font size of 8.5, it's fine, but I can't have no border and a larger font. Though the textbox changes size it does not change enough to show the tail of the g.
