Openfiledialog Without A Form Displaying Current Path In The Title Instead Of Title?
Nov 3, 2009I have a class that contains one function: "ShowDialog()" It creates a new openfiledialog and sets its title, but when it is run, the title of the openfiledialog is set to the current directory that is shown in the dialog. I would not like this behavior. Here is the code:

Title Bar To Display The Name Of The File Currently Open?
Jan 11, 2010I want the title bar to display the name of the file currently open or untitled (and maybe a * when it is unsaved) by the way this is all for a little notepad like program. and secondly, I would like there to be a button that the user can press so that the current document can be opened up into a internet browser so the html code inside if any will appear as a webpage.

How To Open A Batch File In The Current Directory
Feb 9, 2011I have a bath file whihc is in the same folder as my program. I want it to open if a certain string is correct in a text box so i used this
If InStr(SerialText.Text, "KN6-585-BE4") = True Then app.path(+"lol.bat")
I get a blue line under the word 'app' and it says "Name app is not declared"
Could anyone help me? (I'm a noob, mihgt take some explaining)
Oh if you need to know i am using Visual Basics 2008 Express edition.

Mar 7, 2012I'm doing an error log in my code and I'm trying to output the errors to a text file with a specific date/time in the title so they can differentiate. I've tried things like

But I get this msg "The given path's format is not supported." all the time.

Sep 20, 2011I am taking an Intro to Visual Basic class right now. When we do homework, we have to take it into class and put it into a folder that our professor has.When I save it onto my hard drive and I open it from Documents/Visual Studio 2010/Projects/HW Assignment 1, it opens everything perfectly. But on my flash drive, I have the same set up (E:/Homework Assignment 1) and I am not missing any files. But when I double click on the .sln file, it just seems to open the program without my project (display or code) showing.

I replaced the file source with the actual location of the file and got the same error. I also checked the permissions of the application to allow sharing and remove read only properties.
