What I want to do is setup a form to act like a control panel. When it loads I do not want it to be more than 94px in height but when the maximize button is pressed I would like it to expand the width of the screen. I was thinking I could do this with an "onload" event in the main form but not sure how to do it.

How can I resize the height of the listview when the user maximizes the form. I used custom controls and it does not work properly with the anchor property. Do any of you had an alternative code that acts just like the anchor property? I will also place buttons below the listview and I would want them to to automatically always stay below the listview.

The problem I have is that I have created a windows application which has a maximize state on all forms but on some machines my controls go missing (mostly on widescreen laptops). Ideally some way of resizing my controls would probably be best? So is that possible?

the code does what it's supposed to do and the end result is as expected. However.. when I use this code.. my form starts to flicker during the expanding process. I have a custom background set. And you can really see it stretching out as it's supposed to, but the entire form flashes white , black , white , black and I can see horizontal lines between the form aswell. perhaps a command like, System.Screenupdating = false ?

Where is the best place to resize a control on a form when a form is resized?....I'm currently using the Form1_SizeChanged event and seems to work ok. Also is there any need to check in the forms resize event if the form is in a minimized state before resizing controls?.,.. in VB6 if you try to resize a control when the form is minimized you get an error, but I don't see that happening in BV10 Form1_SizeChanged event, does VB10 automatically ignore resizing controls when a form is minimized or something?

Im trying to resize a picturebox dynamically using .size.height and .size.width Its not working. I have read that VB .NET in earlier versions limited the FORM size to that of the development machine screen resolution.I am hoping that there is a way in the current VB 2010 to get around that.However in my attempts to make the form larger, it always resets itself to the screen height on my develoment machine.Is there a way to get around this and have the person be able to use a scroll bar to move down?The data I wish to show actually has two screens worth of information but the stuff in the scroll down section would be used on a limitied basis so scrolling will be useful rather than having to recreat the screen to show less data at one time.

I thought I figured this one out before but my memory could definitely be better. I've played around with a bunch of properties without success.opping controls on the form and locating them below the bottom limit doesn't do it. The form will go down as far as necessary to show the new control when you run the application but not when I'm in the editor. There's a picturebox with the captured screenshot and when he clicks on the picturebox, I have to grab the width and height where the user clicked. This is not the width,height from the whole screen but from the picturebox.
I have a main form that is set to be an MDI Container (IsMDIContainer - True). I have a number of child forms to that parent. When I first display a child (Maximized and .Dock= DockStyle.Fill) in the MDI Window, all is fine, but if I click the maximize button to bring the child down into the MDI window, then click the maximize button again to dock it again, the size of my menu in the main form doubles. I have that main menu setting "Allow Merge = False."

I am creating a puzzle game and would like to calculate the width and height of the puzzle taking into account the original image size and the screen resolution. My screen height is 768 and width is 1366. An example image is 1200 x 1600 and the jigsaw size that works well with this image is 480 (height) x 640 (width). I would like to create an algorithm that calculates the jigsaw size for any image bearing in mind that the screen resolution will change as will the size of the image.

I have a treeview and text box below it... is it easy or even possible to allow a user to change the height of the treeview which will automatically change the height of the textbox so there is no gap between them?ie one gets bigger the other gets smaller etc etc
