I am making an application that automatically sends text (Basically an autotyper) for a game called "Minecraft". Minecraft is a java application. I need Minecraft to be in focus when button1 is clicked. It will then send the keys.I know how to get it to focus on simple things such as notepad but it is not working for minecraft.

View 6 RepliesI have googled this and found older vb codes that do not work in 2010. The user, in this case a "cheater/hacker" isn't suppose to be aware of a running program that checks memory and some other information. I have succesfully read the values of certain memory adresses in my program, now I need to send those values to another program secretly opened as a date and time sort of thing. The program checks for malicius attempts to edit memory or edit information inside the software and it automaticly deletes all the data or does a "ban" if somebody attempts to freeze memory and edit it.
So the problem is how to send this data to program out of focus, I can send strings with appactivate but it will open my security program to screen everytime memory changes witch is almost every milisecond so it's almost useless cause it keeps switching focus. I need something to send it out of focus, so my question is;
I make a hook between my program and my security program, send messages/strings out of focus or in tray?Also it would be good if I could make my program "invisible" so he can't be seen even in tray and still keep working.
I am in the process of developing a messaging framework for a windows application that sends messages to a java application. To be precise when the win app wants to send a message it simply drops the message in a common database table which will be picked up by the java app. The windows application is deployed across 10 application servers (10 instances) over citrix for load balancing.Each instance of the application is capable of sending a message to the java application and each of these messages should have a unique id. From my end I need to make sure every message generated has to carry a unique id so that they can be identified when necessary. All the messages can be cleared every day or two.i am not quite sure about a best method of achieving this. Initially I wanted to create a static method that serves the next available id (incrementing the last id by 1). But this approach willn't guarantee unique number as the application starts only when at least one user is logged on. For e.g .On one server the app starts when a user logs in, he then sends a message and then the application stops when that user logs off. So when a next request for the app comes to that server a new instance will be started.

We have an interactive windows based application written in VB .Net 2010. It uses Word Object to display documents in MS Word. We have a form with a button. When the button is clicked we open the Word document and maximize the Word Windowstate. When we have the Visual Studio Tool running, the Word Document is maximized and has focus, even if we are running the exe from the bin folder outside of the tool. However, if Visual Studio is not running and we run the exe, focus remains on the original form window and the document stays in the task bar.

I wanted to convert it to VB2008 Forms application, so that its results are displayed in a TextBox and not on the console. The problem is that VB2008 lacks Scanner and StringTokenizer classes, which are in my current Java class. Am not sure how to get the same functionality (or better) in VB2008. The web service implemented in Java and I currently using Tomcat on my localhost to host the web service.
The web service requires secure communication with the client and so I have followed instructions that outlined how to use Java's keytool.exe to create two .jks keystores (one for the client and one for the server) and then create two .cer certificates (one for the client and one for the server)
I have placed the keystores and certificates generate into the directory where the web service is expecting them (according to the instructions)
I have installed the certificates into TrustedPeople and have attempted to use the certificate by setting the ClientCredentials.ClientCertificates property like this:

I keep getting the following error message when I try to call any method:

Are these JDK namespaces fully contained in the .NET framework, or will my clients need to have Java installed when they go to run my application?As a side note, I have not explicity referenced any external Java DLL's or anything. This is all pure .NET as far as my code is concerned.
Is there an equivalent to Java Properties in VB. A Properties file in java is a place where you can save propeties for an application. So if an application looks at a file on a server (which could change) you could save to location in a properties file the if the location changes you just change the properties file. You do not have to recompile the program.

In my windows application, the first form is login form. When the user double clicks my application, the applications icon flashes in the taskbar though the cursor is in the username textbox. The user then again should use the mouse to turn the focus to the login form. But however while i am working with the source code its working just fine

I'm trying to make a WM6 version of this simple windows app, and I have some certain problems. Under a timer event I have several instances like this (don't ask why timer and why this way, it just works in my case):

It didn't work under WM6 so I've changed it to ent1.Focus.
Anyhow, the problem is that under WM6 focus is jumping around with the timer, i.e. different textboxes become active every timer iteration making it impossible to work with the program.
I am using VB.NET to build my application. And in my application has a lot of Forms. It doesn't use MDI Parent Form, but I use another simple Window Form (I named it frmMain) that I suppose it is my MDI Parent Form. When frmMain load, windowState = Maximized. And when I open a Form (example: I named it frmCustomer) that I suppose it is my child Form, and I set its properties (frmCustomer.TopMost=True) when it load, so it always on the top. But When I change to open another application such as Ms. Word or Mozilla Firefox... the frmCustomer is still on the top. how can I know my frmMain lost focus?
View 1 RepliesI have been working with the Notify Icon to make it easier for some who prefer minimizing an application into the notification bar rather than the task bar. I have a drop down item that allows the user to Show in Notification area if checked. If it's not checked, then the form reverts back to default with the task bar. However, when this is checked and I minimize the form, I can not open the form from the notification tray. The problem is when the notify icon is visible and clicked, I need it to run code. If the form is minimized, I want it to show the app when I click the icon.

I am using SendKeys.Send("{HOME}") in a MaskedTextBox to bring the cursor to the beginning of the textbox when the text is empty. When I try to close the project the application freezes if it doesn't have focus. How do I put this application in focus before I call SendKeys? [Code]
