2. to display an message when save is complate, if it is not to display error that cannot be saved
I got simply code for save, but i dont know how to modify it to be like this: [code] Where it is Textbox1: to be like a title in the .txt file and after it to add the text from the textbox1.
Its a League Organizer, basicly ive started it off with 16 teams and end up with 1(winner) 16 box's on the far left, then 8, then 4, then 2, then 1. the 16 box's have "Team 1" "Team 2" etc... ive put a new/clear/open/save button in that order.
BUT this is my problem..when i save(Save Button) the text file saves all the text wrong it ends up like this...Team 1Team 2Team 3Team 4 Etc...
But i want it to save like this
Team 1 Team 2 Team 3 Team 4 Etc...
The code is...
Dim Save As New SaveFileDialog Save.Filter = "Text Files (*.txt)|*.txt|ALL FILES (*.*)|*.*"
Is there a simple way to make a save button in a program that saves it. MY program has text in it, pictures in it, and both can be remotely changed and there drag able.
I want to make a save button to save to a new text file with the data in the text box if modified. Currently the program just opens Data.txt and displays a sentence in the text box.

Basically I have a textbox and button on Form1 that when you press it opens dialogbox1. In dialogbox1 there is a textbox and a send button. I need to make it so when you press send it sends an email to the email adress you type in the textbox and the body of the email is whats in textbox1 of form1.
I want to when you press the start button or stop that it displays a message output to the textbox 1

HTML Private Sub OnCheckedChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Handles togglecheckbox.CheckedChanged Dim cb As CheckBox = CType(sender, CheckBox)
How do i do this. i want to be able to press a button and the text from textbox1 (25 numbers) will be added as a new line to a list box. i would also like it to save so next time the i open the program the text that went from textbox1 will still be in the list box. i am also using Visual Basic Express Edition 2010.
Today I installed VB 2008 express and having some older experience with VB at school I tried to translate some algorithm functions to VB. I came across these lines which are very simple.I had one textbox and wanted to show The result is x when i click the button. so, here is the part of the program.
Dim x As Integer Dim y As Integer Dim w As Integer
[code]....
Because I write on paper in pseudo, "The result is", x would be correct and would show The result is x but instead, VB finds error. Does , indicate space here or does it recognise it as something else?
This should be pretty easy, I've been experimenting, just can't seem to figure it out. I'm trying to make a MsgBox popup with the text that is in Textbox1 and Textbox2. I want the MsgBox to display both values...
Just a quick question my textbox1.text seems to get focus when I run the APP.how do I cancel any focus to any textbox?I just don't want to select it or anything when I work with it only when the user select or uses it.
I try to make a text to go from "textbox1" to "textbox2". and if it a text in "Texbox2" say "World" and in "textbox1" say "hello", can i do like it wil be "Helloworld" or "worldHello" in "textbox2"
I am working on bit more advanced calculator, but I cant figure out how I can make my program to calculate textbox1.text and show the answer in textbox2
For example: (textbox1) 5*62+4 (textbox2)314
I'm not sure this question belong in this topic, but I don't know where else it should be?
I basically have a program where people type in their username and password, and then once button1 is pressed the program takes you to a website and logs in for you. The whole point of this is to fast the process.
I'm running some if statement but I have hit a brick wall with what I'm doing and trying to do. If textbox1 has a value then I run different coding to if textbox1 and textbox2 have a value - Textbox1 will always have a value. [Code] What I'm trying to do is add an additional statement if both Textbox1 and Textbox2 have text, then to run code 1 if the last four characters in textbox2 ends in .jpg else to run code 2. [Code]
I dynamically create buttons on a form and use the button text as ids so that I can pass that to an SQL query to pull saved data about that button when necessary, but I also use an image over buttons that have information saved about them. What I need to know is how do I keep the text on the button from appearing when there is an image assigned to that button? By default vb.net shows both the text and the image and no TextImageRelation values allow for the image to take precedence. I tried changing the text color to transparent, but the outline of the text is still visible through the image. Is there anyway to keep the text value as it is but just show the image on the button?
I have been searching for the past hour to try and find a solution, but I have been unsuccessful. Also, I use VB 2008, so the Common Dialog Suggestion would not work.
Is it possible to make one project that saves all the database information on through forms. Then also have a word document that could access the database through labels on a separate project? Also i am using ms access for my database and is there any way after i publish them that they can access the same database?
the code on the page: <div id="currentactivity"> Last seen 47 minutes ago playing db: raging blast <div>
what im trying to achieve is to make textbox1.text = the current activity so that would be (Last seen 47 minutes ago playing db: raging blast)
ex1)webbrowser1.getelementbyid("currentactivity") = textbox1.text ex2)webbrowser1.getelementbyid("currentactivity").text = textbox1.text something like that
