I have being trying to learn VB.net in my own time.In the project I have two ListBox's.I want to click a button 'cmd1' and have the hightlight item name in one of the two ListBox's be passed to a MsgBox. I have an object reference not set to an instance of object error caused by the line listView1.FocusedItem.EnsureVisible(), but the strange thing is that I have assigned the focused item property of the listview and also set the listview item to be focused by using focus method.
I have datagridview1 which contains data and what I want to do is get the data from first selected row then carry out MyRoutine and then do the same for the next selected row until their is no data in:

The FTP server works fine! I'm using it in other places in my script, and those functions work fine. ftp.FtpDelete works fine as a function, I've used it to delete single files before. It doesn't delete any of the files, it just gives me a load of exceptions.

I am binding my listbox to a dataTable, the reason why i am using a listbox is for multiple selection, the user can select more that 1 item, when the user has selected there items, i need to save them into the db, line after line. heres my code, i cannot get the listbox to display all the selected items in my test page.for now in my test page, i just want to show the selected indexes of the items, and then in my next step i would want to add then indexes to the database, for now i just want to loop and display all the selected indexes.

I have a input form that has a number of check boxes on which relate the users enquiring courses. I need to create a loop of some sort that allows each checkbox to be checked it is selected. If so, output that within a message box. Thats it put simply anyway.

Name of the jar=c:Path
So when my application starts, the ini file gets loaded in a list view. I have a delete button, with which I want to delete the jars from the list view and the ini file. It must be possible to delete multi choiced jar references. so I thought to do it with for each, so that every selected item get searched in the ini and deleted. The Error is, that the String (is correct, I tested it with a messagebox) get analysed - Unknown escape sequence R (The error is between the ** **)

I can't get the loop to work. The calculator is suppose to show how far someone goes for each hour increment (i.e. if they punch in 3 hours, it should show a number for 1 hour, 2 hours and 3 hours; if they punch in 10 hours it should show a number for 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours....etc. up to ten hours, etc.) I can't get it to show anything except for the total number of hours traveled and total distance.

I've being trying to work out a problem i've being having for a while now and i'm not sure if i'm over complicating it.When a form loads, it uses a for next loop to load an array of peoples names into a list box. However i want to extract the persons ID once their name has being clicked. I can make this work by using another for next loop until the selected name matches the an array number. However it fails if there are two people of the same name.Is there a command or piece of code that can extract the row number of the item selected?

I was wondering how someone could stop a For loop in the middle of it, according to parameters. I have tried but cannot find a solution that works, I suppose an example of this would be if a loop were increasing a label by 1 from 0 to 100 and the user sets it to end at 57 or any number in between and when the loop reached the number to stop.
