View 3 RepliesI'm trying to login to the mobile login page for hotmail.com. I want to login to each account, I have them in a multi-line textbox1 in username : password format (no-spaces) on new lines. It loops through all the accounts before the page is even loaded. and when the page has loaded, it logs into the hotmail login from the last login details at the end of the textbox, instead of going from first to last. It's not clicking submit button either, its just showing the username and password looping in the inputs. Not submitting at all. The submit button code is right. I know it works. So thats not the problem.

View 2 RepliesI am using an embedded webbrowser control to access a third-party website, populate the username and password boxes on their front page, and login. The problem I have is that the resulting window that the site returns to me is in the form of a new window. What I want to do is capture this window and all it's session/cookie data in to the original webbrowser control, as even if I direct the original window to the same resulting url, some kind of authentication data is missing and the site tells me I have logged out, even though the popup window works fine. I need that page in the original control so that I can continue to access it programmatically, and I don't really want to get in to the complication of accessing the new window, as I expect I'll have to delve in to the api or something.

View 9 RepliesI have a program which opens up a webpage through a WebBrowser object in c#, and does a bunch of operations with it. Now I need to integrate this functionality into my own webpage.
That means that either I need to take the c# code, and somehow make it work in my webpage itself (put in a WebBrowser object, set up event handlers, etc), or I need to somehow have my webpage open this program on my server, fire an event to start, and receive input from it. It is very important for me to use a WebBrowser object (or even WebKit.Net) because there is a lot of javascript, etc on the page that needs to be processed.
im new to vb.net and im trying to wait until a webbrowser is on a certain page and then submit a form. Here's my code but it doesnt seem to be working

View 1 RepliesIm making a login system that encrypts and decrypts the username and password. My encryption code is:
Private Shared Function enc(ByVal targetString As String, ByVal maskvalue As String) As String
Dim Index As Integer = 0
Dim ReturnValue As String = ""
[code]....
The enc function works for both encrypting and decrypting (I've tested with a MsgBox alert. The problem I'm having is when the program loads, it reads the file and decrypts it. However, instead of properly working, it returns one character in the first textbox and nothingin the other without any error being thrown.
I have a class that inherits List<T> [this is a C# project, but it can relate to VB.net] but I want to know if there's a way to force the index to return something else....let me give an example:
In the original List<T> implementation, whenever you call for an item on the list, like so:this[0];You get whatever T is. What I want to do is override that, and grab whatever T is, then return a certain value of T.
This is just a simple question I'm sure, but while coding I just realized that possible this could cause me some problems. My knowledge still of Using blocks and returns is fresh. But as far as I know once you return something, everything stops dead in it's track because you have your answer and theres no need to continue.
So I was wondering if I had a Using statement and a return nested within it does it still process the using as should? IE. disposing and cleaning up resources afterward.
I am trying to search and XML file for a variable on a specific node. Following a tut I can setup a search for the node correctly and it returns its name - but it doesn't find any values for any children of that node.
