Dec 18, 2010I have nine pictures that I need to animate -I need to use the ToString method and a counter to concatenate a file name into a string variable from the Image.FromFile method. Once the counter reaches its maximum value, and the last picture is displayed, the counter should be reset to zero or one depending on how the first image file has been name. Also a static counter variable should be incremented in the time routine. what I have so far -- I know what I have to do; however, I just do not know how to code this properly.. Right now I have this going thru a button procedure but it needs to go through a timer.

Reflected Method From A Loaded Assembly Executes Before Calling Method?
Jun 9, 2009When I am loading an Assembly dynamically, then calling a method from it, I appear to be getting the method from Assembly executing before the code in the method that is calling it.It does not appear to be executing in a Serial manner as I would expect. Can anyone shine some light on why this might be happening. Below is some code to illustrate what I am seeing, the code from the some.dll assembly calls a method named PerformLookup. For testing I put a similar MessageBox type output with "PerformLookup Time: " as the text. What I end up seeing is:
First: "PerformLookup Time: 40:842"
Second: "initIndex Time: 45:873"

VS 2010 Run Method On Non-UI Thread?
Dec 11, 2011Usually I use the synchronizationcontext to run methods on my GUI thread from a background thread. But now I need to do it the other way around and the synchronizationcontext class doesn't work on threads that don't have a GUI. What I basically need to do is, if there is anything going on on the thread I want to run my method on, I want to pause or interrupt it and run my method and then let it continue.

Calling Method From Class In VB 2010?
Jul 18, 2012essentially I need to create a class that houses the methods and then call the methods in the form but I can't seem to find out what the right code is to call it. I think there may be an issue with the conversion from a double to a string.

VS 2010 : Understanding A Tick Method?
Nov 27, 2011I am working on a project, but the latest enhancement to it has me stumped currently. Here is what the class enhancement asks for:
Modify class time to provide a Tick method that increments the time by one second. Also provide methods IncrementMinute to increment the minute and methods IncrementHour to increment the Hour. The Trick method, the IncrementMinute method and the IncrementHour method should be called when you click the Add 1 to Second button, the Add 1 to Minute button and the Add 1 to Hour button, respectively. Be sure to test the following cases:
A) Incrementing into the next minute.
B) Incrementing into the next hour.
C) Incrementing into the next day (that is, 11:59:59 PM to 12:00:00 AM).

The reason I am confused is currently my program already increments the seconds, minutes, and hours correctly (as shown in pic) for Cases A, B, C. But, I haven't added a Tick method which is what the enhancement to the class Time calls for. Here are the 2 classes I have so far:Time Class that the Tick method is supposed to be added to
