Textboxes are ok and binding .. fills by 1 data adapter
ComboBoxs are filled by 7 data adapters
The problem is 6 ComboBoxes data is from one table filtered by id1 i.e.:
cmb1 : select id2,content from table2 where id1 = 1
cmb2 : select id2,content from table2 where id1 = 2
cmb3 : select id2,content from table2 where id1 = 3
........
Now how can I bind all ComboBoxs with textboxes?

I have a piece of code for a program where when a specific checkbox is checkedunchecked (In this case "Allyellow") it checksunchecks any checkboxes within a group of 14 with a lightyellow backcolor. While the piece of code below does this fine it seems to me to be very clunky and I know it's possible to streamline it any number of ways.

This app is trying to send messages to a client listening on the port. The client's logs show that their port is being opened and closed, but no data coming in. Is there a bug or something missing in the following code, like perhaps stream.flush or stream.endwrite or a thread.sleep(0) line, that could cause this? The puzzling thing is, WireShark on the client computer does show the message my app is sending coming into the listening port.

I am having difficulty trying to fill two different comboboxes (cbo) with data from a database. More accurately, the 1st cbo gets filled correctly, but when I attempt to do something similar with the second, I'm getting an error about not being able to use the & Operator in my SQL string (Operator is not defined for string and DataRowView types). So evidently the SelectValue from my combobox isn't acting the way I expect.
The overall goal of what I am attempting to do is to fill two cbo's, one with a list of contracts and a second as a list of parts given the selected contract from the first cbo. There are 3 tables in the database that I am drawing the data from: the "contract" table, the "parts" table, and a bridge table called "partList" that has foreign keys pointing to the two other tables. The first cbo is a basic query to the "contract" table using "ContractName" as the display member and "idContract" as the value member. The 2nd cbo I would like to display the name of the part from the "parts" table but use the id of the part from the "partsList" table, and to further filter this list based on what contract was selected.
I am writing the code in VB.Net from VS 2010, storing the data in a MySQL DB, and using a DBFactory to create all the components from ".GetFactory(MySql.Data.MySqlClient)"Below is the code that has the two places I am attempting to fill the two cbo's. I'm using VB 2005 and have an Edit - Entry form with Textboxes and several Comboboxes. I populate the Comboboxes with Arraylists as shown below. I populate a datatable with the Employee data from my SQL Server. I assign the BindingSource1.Datasource to my Datatable then add Databindings to the ComboControls. The (Fields.STAFF_MGR_ID.ToString) is from an Enum. When all is complete my textbox fields Bind and move with the MoveNext.. no problem, but the comboboxes display nothing.

I would like to create a button that clears textboxes and comboboxes when it is clicked. For example when 'btnClear' is clicked then txtDate gets cleared (i.e. txtDate is 22/05/2000 then when btnClear is clicked it has nothing in it)

I have a Boolean that writes to a data field. The data field(column) is set to YES/NO, if the user check a checkbox, the value is written as check in the data field.The problem is when I search for the user information, I need to get to form to the state it was in when the user submitted it.

I have developed a simple form with some checkboxes, textboxes, radiobuttons, and textboxes inside a groupbox. Initially I had all of this inside 3 tabs. I created a button to clear all selections so user can restart the process of selection if so choses. It does not work (see below). I thought it is the tabs - so I went on and removed them (by coping the groupbox - deleting the tabs and then pasting the groubox into the main form). The code still does not work. Is there a setting that I must change or something else because a created a simple form with a couple of groupboxes that had all the above mentioned and it works just fine - all of them clear. I'm looking to see if anyone has a sample app or has a link to such an app that uses data binding with a grid control and textboxes and is able to insert, change and delete from a datatable which gets updated to a sql server database.I have done an app that has the grid control and the textboxes already and is able to change and delete from the datatable and that action is reflected in the grid control because it has the datatable as the binding source.
The problem I'm having is when the user tries to insert into the datatable I get a concurrency violation error when using the .Update statement to save the changes to the database. This is happening because I don't know exactly how to get those inserts synchronised correcly.I'm sure I'm also doing the processing wrong but here is what I'm doing.When the user clicks an insert button I insert a new row into the datatable. The user now has the ability to enter text into the textboxes. When the user is finished doing that the user can click the save button which issues a .Update statement. That's where the error is displayed
