I want the picturebox2 image to change to picturebox1 image when a node is dropped there.
I have a treeview and 4 pictureboxes, now I need to drag a node from the treeview and drop it in a picture box. the pic.box image then has to change to a picture depending on the name of the node which was dragged there.
I have a simple textfile which I want to drag-drop into the treeview. After the drop read the textfile (line by line) and create the nodes. There are no subnodes (what-so-ever). File looks like this:
eir sequence recommended for a effective drag and drop control of the nodes in the same treeview control.I'm using windows XP with vs 2005 and code written in vb.
I'm running out of walls to bang my head against. Okay new windows form with a textbox, button and TreeView Populate the TreeView.nodes with the default nodes via properties
[Code]...
I want to click button1 and have the name of the childnode? Node3? placed in the textbox. Not via selection, I can do that. But via index or item number. The code I have is as follows
I have a treeview that is populated with a hierarchical list of regions and locations. Each region has its own list of regions and locations - you can think of these as analogous to a folder structure in windows (ie a region is like a folder than can have subfolders and files within it).My code to populate the structure is called only once (I've put in breakpoints and stepped through the code), however my treeview shows two sets of the data. When I query how many nodes there are at the top level of the treeview it tells me there is only one node, but clearly there are two. If I delete the node at position 0 in the list of nodes one copy of the tree disappears but one still remains and it this point the count of nodes in the treeview is reported as zero.
I have a toolbar associated with the treeview which includes buttons to expand all and collapse all using the built in methods of the treeview (expandall and collapseall), and these only act on the first set of nodes and ignore the second set even though I can manually expand and collapse them at run time.I have code in the AfterSelect event of the treeview and this does fire for even the phantom nodes. The other odd thing is that the code to populate the tree assigns a key to each node, and so I would expect the code to fail if it was creating duplicate nodes as it would have duplicate keys
I currently have a procedure that stores the Level, Parent.Level, and Text properties of each TreeNode in a TreeView control in a DataTable.I can't seem to come up with the logic to load this data back into the TreeView from scratch, though.
Below is what i currently have in place which does not work.
Private Sub LoadTree(ByVal table As Data.DataTable) treeBilling.Nodes.Clear() For Each row As Data.DataRow In table.Rows
I'm all new to this treeview business. I have a fixed treeview, very simple and basic. Only two levels, parent and child nodes. I just need two things out of this treeview.
1) If parent is checked, check all child nodes.
2) If just one child node is unchecked, uncheck parent node.
That's it! I've been looking for this for 30 mins and I cant find it. Maybe because my vb.net is old, it doesnt seem to be the same as others =/ I'm using vb.net 2003.
i have a treeview which is databoud to a access dataabse, the database has 1 table, and the treeview shows everyname from column 2.
What im trying to achive is for the treeview to also display the names from column 5 and 6 as child nodes of the name from column 2. Been tinkering all morning to no luck, googles not finding much int he way of working examples, just lots of garbage.
Anybody here work with Nodes is a TreeView? I have a tree structure and need to enable editing to the selected Node. I have a String Variable where the enduser can Type in a new Folder name, click ok and the structure gets made. But I need the Node Name to follow suit. The only way I know how to enable editing is:
I have some operations of Picture Boxes etc being performed. After the user finishes with the formatting, I want to give the user an option to print the work. But its the work is not done on the Rich Text Box but on picture boxes. I am not even sure, how many of the picture boxes would be there after the user finishes the job, since I have provided option for dynamically creating picture boxes as well.
I am building a 'shape editor' which looks very similar to the Visual Studio form designer. I have a Toolbox control that holds a few 'Shapes' (such as RectangleShape, EllipseShape, TriangleShape, etc) which the user should be able to drag to the design view ("Canvas") in any MDI form. The Toolbox control is just a TreeView except that I add ToolboxItems to it (which are inherited TreeNodes). This dragging however does not seem to work...
I'm able to drag and drop a node. The treeview is loaded with files and folders on the HD. The tag of the node has the path to the file/folder. [code] I only want to be able to drag a node into a folder and not into a file, as it does with this code.
I maked application which can add few picture boxes on form. But there is a problem.veryone picturebox is called pb and i can move only latest added picturebox. Here is the video about that
Dim pb As PictureBox Dim street As Integer = 0 Dim pbloc As New Point(0, 0)
I'm building a simple game which involves many pictureboxes with which the player may collide. For instance, I'd have a hundred bricks spread throughout the level. In an old version of pacman I built in VB6 (and upgraded to .net), I implemented this like so:
i have a treeview say TV1 and another Treeview Say TV2.. Now TV1 Contains all nodes for user rights. and i want to add to tv2 only selected nodes.Like TV1 is
Node 1
....Child of Node 1 (Level 2)
.........Child of Child of Node 1 (Level 3)
what i want is that when i select Level3 Node it should chek TV2 for the parent of this node. if parent exist it should add the node under the same parent. if parent does not exist it should check for Level 1 Node and if it exist it should add Level 2 Node and then Level 3 Node. Otherwise it should add Level 1 , Level 2 and then Level 3 Nodes in order.
Im trying to make a program that allows the user to view additional information via moving the cursor over the label to view (make visble) additional information, in the form of text boxes and/or picture boxes. How will i go about doing this?
In a form I have two picture box and I want to drag the picture from the picturebox to a blank picture box and have that picture pasted there, how do I do that? I'm using VB.net 2003.
I am able to get the pnode added to the TreeView and all the node breakpoints are hit. The problem is that in the TreeView, I am only able to see the parent view arrow, the rest of the name, image, etc. are not getting displayed. It is like this: How can I fix this?
I am trying to add nodes to a treeview that come from different databases, but at the moment i am just trying to add the first set from the first database.
The link between the child and the parent is the ID column in the parent nodes access database this number is in a column in the child database called Section, i am trying (unsuccesfully) to use queries and If statements.
I am assigning the ID column from the parent database to the .Tag property of the parent node and then i am trying to use an if statement within the query "asking" if the parentNode.Tag = number in section column Then Add new node, but i haven't done it right. The code is below:
While RetVal3.Read If RetVal3(0).ToString = SectNode.Tag.ToString Then Call AddCalcNodes(SectNode)
quick question, i have two treeviews and what i want to do is be able to click on a node in one and have it added to the other. This code doesn't error but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. am i missing something wrong?
Private Sub tvdwindexes_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As TreeNodeMouseClickEventArgs) Handles tvdwindexes.NodeMouseClick ' Clicked on an item in th etree view.
