Smoothing A Line To Become A Curve?
Jan 3, 2012I have a large set of latitude and longitude coordinates from a GPS which, when plotted, creates a 'jerky' line over time. I would like to 'smooth' this line into another set of coordinates which I can then plot to make the track more 'smooth'.
I may need to add more intermediate coordinates to do this. I just wondered if there are any code snippets out there or even MS Excel functions

Dec 29, 2009I need to use a richtextbox, not a normal textbox because of the way it keeps the caret position, from line to line. But I need to keep the text at the same font all the time even if it is pasted. At the moment I have it selecting the entire text and changing the font to the original (Lucida Console) but it look horrible when you paste into it as it flashes blue.

1. If there is just one picture in a folder and you hit the next or back button, the application crashes, is there a way to disable these buttons if there is only one?

Aug 25, 2010I can't change change the font size or font name or color of the text in the DHTML Editing Control. I have 2 listbox controls FontNameList containing all of the installed fonts on my PC and FontSizeList containing some numbers to be used as fontsize and I use the execommand and build my App but the font did not change instead it grew bigger but when I tryed to change it back it stayed the same. VS 2010 DataGridView Font Not Resizing?
Apr 27, 2012I've set every setting I could find on the DataGridView to a specific font size however when the form it resides on loads I step through the code and put my cursor over the DataGridView1.Font.Size and it always shows 8.25 (I've set everything to 18).
What I'm trying to do is resize the DGV on load of the form to a percentage based on the size of the form relative to the size of the screen. Everything else on all of my other forms are resizing correctly but the DGV is not.

VS 2010 Font Scaling Re-opened
Dec 28, 2010I have a picturebox that has an image on it. The user will be able to draw rectangles on that image, and the rectangle will have a string drawn into it. Frankly, I have no idea about the shape or size of these rectangles except to say that they will have a "reasonable" size to them. What I am trying to figure out is how best to draw the string inside the rectangle. Obviously, the size of the string is determined by the font, and I can measure this size with MeasureString in the Paint event for the PB. The size of the string as drawn must be less than the size of the rectangle such that the string fits entirely within the rectangle.
The problem is that MeasureString takes a font so that the size of the string can be determined in that font. That seems to require that I create a new font object, measure the string in that font, check to see that it is less than the width of the rectangle (don't have to worry about the height), and if the string is too big, reduce the size of the font and try again. This seems to have the potential to create and destroy plenty of font objects for the sole purpose of checking sizes. Is there a better way? How about a method that figures the maximum font size that can be used to get a string of pixel length X? The second half of this problem is something I haven't even begun looking at yet, but somebody has probably got an answer that will save me some time, so I'll toss it out here:It is possible that my rectangles will be high and narrow, in which case few strings will fit horizontally in the rectangle, so I might as well draw them vertically. Is there an easy way to draw text vertically rather than horizontally?
