i cant get this to work,i am trying to make an Combobox when i selected a sort pizza it shall tell me the price with a messagebox. iam using accdb database who i connected with datasource

I am trying to populate a combobox with a list of filenames from a selected directory. I am getting the directory OK but the combobox instead of having a list of 8 files max shown when I select the combobox has a full list of all the files selected from that directory.

I have an array of comboboxes on a form. They are declared at the beginning. I wish to make these global variables so I can access them in another form. This does not appear to work.
Code something like this:

In my VB.net solution I have a form in which I have to choose a beginstation and an endstation. I have to select both from comboboxes. Now what I want is that when I choose a beginstation, the chosen station will be gone in the combobox of the endstation so that I can't pick the same endstation as the beginstation.Is there a way to do this? I've tried a lot with SQL and LINQ queries but it didn't work out :(

I using Microsoft Visual 2005 Professional Edition and Microsoft Office Access 2003 I using Windows XP Home Edition SP2 I have develop a program using VB.Net Here is not problem, when i install and using in my computer. When i send the program to my customer, it have "The selected sort sequence is not supported by operating system" error message. My customer is using Windows XP Pro in German.

I'm trying to make the combobox get suggested values from a website using the current keyword they have in the box already. For example if I have O, it will show up values that the website has returned with O. The problem is how can I make it work where whatever I type into the combobox, it will get the values, set the datasource and make it show up. So far I have this:The problem is whenever I type something, I cannot get it to set it to the new datasource without the comboxbox becoming the first value in the data source.

I list folders in my combobox but I'm trying to sort the folders alphabetically and then numerically or vice versa.

I need to have a CSV get sorted alphabetically before/during/after it gets filled to a combo box. What I have is a text file with a list of company codes, and company names in the following format:
companycode,companyname the code below loads the CSV and then fills a combo box with each value. When a user selects the company name from the combo box, the corresponding company code is loaded into a text box and used to upload a file to a sepcific directory based on customer. I've looked at ways of sorting comboboxes, and presorting the CSV before loading, but is there a way to do it during the importing/datafill?

i would like to sort the information inputted on the textbox and make it appear on the listview of another form by using the combobox. like if i inputted my Surname, First_Name and Middle_Name and i chose the "Full" item for my paytype with the id number "txtid" and the "yearlevel". they are all inputted using the textbox except for the yearlevel and paytype. they all should appear on the listview of another formand i click the save button, my surname, first name and middle name, txtid and yearlevel will appear on the listview of my full_pay form.

I have a ComboBox with several items from C1 --> C999. And I would like to ascend the combobox to be easy to manage, so I set True for Sorted Properties. However, the problem comes after that is for example, it shows C11 --> C110 --> C12, etc. I believe because it counts from left to right. So how can I solve this problem.

Here's the issue in a nutshell (I can elaborate if you feel it's needed). In a DataGridView I want to capture the value of the row's key column so that when the user clicks on a column header to sort the data, I can reposition to the row that was selected prior to the click. The problem is that the sorting itself, once it's done, fires the same events (RowEnter for example) that I used to determine my key value, so it sets my variable to a new value and now

Hi,I´m trying to build a form that allows user to choose if he want the combo-boxes sorted or not. The comboboxes are filled when form is loaded, when user clicks on checkbox (chkSortList) then I want the comboboxes to be re-arranged. Can anyone give a hint how to do that ? Tried cmbMerk.Refresh(), cmbMerk.Update() ... but the sort-order do not change. I can re-load the items to the combo-boxes but is there a better way to do it ?

In my Windows Form I have a ComboBox that is filled by a Stored Procedure with a list of names. I have the Combobox set for AutoComplete to "Suggest" and From "ListItems". When a user starts to type in and the AutoComplete does not find any matches in the listitems the user can tab out of the ComboBox and leave what they typed in the combobox even though it is not one of the Valid Items. Is there a way to check the Comboxbox to make sure of of the selected Items has been selected?

I am making a custom ComboBox, inherited from Winforms' standard ComboBox. For my custom ComboBox, I set DrawMode to OwnerDrawFixed and DropDownStyle to DropDownList. Then I write my own OnDrawItem method. But I ended up like this:
How do I make my Custom ComboBox to look like the Standard one?
Update 1: ButtonRenderer After searching all around, I found the ButtonRenderer class. It provides a DrawButton static/shared method which -- as the name implies -- draws the proper 3D button. I'm experimenting with it now.
Update 2: What overwrites my control?I tried using the Graphics properties of various objects I can think of, but I always fail. Finally, I tried the Graphics of the form, and apparently something is overwriting my button.

I have a combobox..... When a user clicks on the list inside the combobox my webbrowser opens to the selected items website.how to make the combobox go back to the original text of the combobox?

When the user see's the screen the ---- Select Item ---- is visible. When a user clicks a teams name it opens the teams website and the name stays in the box. I want it to go back to ---- Select Item ---- immediately after they click a list item.
