View 4 RepliesI have a theme called 'Zune' on my computer, and like the way it looks.Is there a way too, make the program use the 'Zune' theme..even if the computer itself is using the default xxxx theme?I can simulate it by doing the graphics, but to make the program border less, then to do the move code when they click on the image box...etc... makes it for tedious work.
If I could somehow make the program use the theme..
I was looking all over but didn't find how to change VB 2010 Express default gray theme?
View 4 Repliesafter many weeks of annoying compatibility with windows xp, I realized that I should change the .netbar buttons to standard windows buttons. When I did this, and put the button on the transparency area and then debugged the application. I found out that the transparency add-in made the text inside the button transparent: How can I make the text show just the color, not transparent?
View 3 Replieshow can i make a custom form like this? [URL]
View 4 Repliesknow that there is library which can change the theme of the form but i do not
View 1 RepliesMy next question is how do i use a .msstyle file for the form theme/style? Preferably not using SkinSoft Visual Styler.net because this doesnt support some things like fixed single border. It also isnt free.
View 16 RepliesOk, so i am trying o make it so that a user can change themes, i have moved all major code to a module so it can be accessed but then i have a problem.
I have 6 forms, all forms are the same just different themes, The problem is that in the module it calls form1, like for example form1.webbrowser.blah.blah, if i user used form3 for there theme then this dones not work as in the module it calls form1.
Basically i need to add something else there like for example:
dim Cform as string
Cform = form1
Cform.webbrowser.blah.blah
But form1 can not be a string

View 5 RepliesOk i am making a game in visual basic where its 1998 and you have windows 95 and you find time travel software and travel to different time periods with different operating systems...so far i have coded windows 95 and partly windows 98 into the game and have a good time travel sequence... (this will be a completely free game in the future)
View 9 RepliesI think there is something wrong with the themes i use, aeonhacks' by the my program is all okey now, except the startup even i set the location on centerscreen when i run it, it doesnt show up on the center screen? anyone encounter this before?
View 2 Replieshow I could make a custom form, by setting the FormBorderStyle to None, and making it transpatent without setting the TransparencyKey to a color...
Because when you set the TransparencyKey property to, let's say 121; 121; 121, and it got a button which got the same color on the ForeColor, and then it disapears...
Here's an example of how it looks like when the form is transparent:

Theres just one major problem i have. Whatever operating system you are using for your current computer (windows 7 in my case) the buttons and tabs and everything else (apart from the windows border... or whatever you all it which i made myself) everything has the modern buttons on it.Hes an in game screen shot :As you can see it looks totally horrible... even the start menu has the windows 7 blue glow effect...I recently found another application (universe Sandbox) and it has the classic buttons even though i am using windows 7.how can i actually make my buttons classic? (without making picture boxes of each button)
I'm new to programming so I would like to know if is there any tutorial about how to make a custom skin for VB .Net 2008 and apply it to a form!?
View 10 RepliesI'm trying to make a slider, or a custom scroll bar, whatever you want to call it, in VB 2010. But I want it to act as an usual scroll bar. I simply can't make it stay inside my form, it just moves around. I have a photo of my code and my designer down the thread. What should I add? I tried to make it stay inside Panel1.
View 3 RepliesI'm trying to make a custom text box, using a picture box and a label. Here's what I want a code for: If the user clicks the label, I want it to act as a usual text box does. I want the label to become editable, to have a blinking cursor, and all that kind of stuff.
View 1 RepliesI am trying to figure out how to add a theme to my excel worksheet before saving it. I have found this code to change the cell color but have yet to find anything to change to a pre-default excel table format (the Table style light 2 theme)
[Code]...
How can i just select all the cells and place that Table style light 2 onto them all using VB.net?
Let's say I create an image, and said image will be the background of a form. But I want the form to be in the shape of the image, how would I go about doing that? This means I remove the title bar and drag it around manually, yes, but how do I actually do that?
View 2 RepliesSo...numeric sorts. Do I really need to write a custom comparer to make a listbox full of numbers sort itself like:

View 6 RepliesIs there a better way to make a form with multiple buttons opening different things than having a form that has lots group boxes for each tab. So in the begining each box will be invisible and when you click the button the corresponding group box will become visible. Is there any other way?It will be like a background image and it'll have buttons that will mask it with invisible buttons. when the button is clicked it will open the corresponding group box.
View 5 RepliesI'm trying to make a borderless form. I chose a dark red color as a backcolor and as a transparency key. I made my own dragable title bar, my own close, minimize, maximize and restore buttons and all that stuff. BUT, in order to imitate the Microsoft Windows' style perfectly, I tried to copy that outer glow that Microsoft has:I had to add an outer glow to my form in Photoshop and save it as .PNG. Here's what happened:The dark red became darker under the influence of my outer glow, and it was not considered a dark red anymore. How can I get rid of that?
View 1 RepliesIm so in to webbrowsers in vb2010 and i need help with a problem. The problem is when i resize my form my buttons wont size so my buttons just dissapear. i need help to make when i resize the form my buttons will resize to.
View 2 RepliesI have a little "designing" problem in VB 2010. So, I made a cool abstract background for my application in Photoshop. And I wanted to make the form transparent and BorderLess. But, in order to imitate Windows, I also had to put in a very small black outer glow. So, I made the BackColor in a DarkGreen, then the same for the TranksparencyKey. BUT, because of the outer glow, now it looks like this:
[Code]...
I know you can make certain parts of a form transparent by setting the transparencyKey of the form to the color of your choice.
vb.net
Me.MdiParent.TransparencyKey = Color.Fuchsia
Me.BackColor = Color.Fuchsia
Once I set the form to be a MDI Container, it seems to just ignore that function.
On my MDI Container form I have a menu and that is the only thing I want displayed. I want the container itself to be transparent. The forms that get loaded into the mdicontainer will be shown normal.
Is it possible in VB 2010 that you can make an "App" on the desktop.Attached Image:This image is made in photoshop, but as its show at the picture, this is how it should work like in VB. Where you can see through the "battery glass". i have tried with"Opacity" and "TransparencyKey", they do not work for what I want.
View 9 RepliesI want to make a form the topmost form, but without giving it focus.Alternatively, I could check which window has focus, display my form, then give the original window focus again?
View 9 RepliesI have a little project but ive come to an error. What it does: It goes to a site, fills a form and then submits it. But the submit is too fast. I want it to fill in info, then wait 3 seconds and then submit it.
Here is the
WebBrowser1.Document.All("user[screen_name]").SetAttribute("value", TextBox4.Text & intcount)
For Each element As HtmlElement In WebBrowser1.Document.All
If element.GetAttribute("className") = "submit button promotional" Then
element.InvokeMember("click")
End If
Next
I want it to have a little pause of 3 seconds after the intcount).
