Validating 3 Textboxs For Numerical Values Only?

I've made a temp converter and i'm looking to get some validation for it. I have looked online, but most do it in a way that i don't want.
I have 3 text box's, of which i only want numerical values and nothing else to be entered into the boxes. However, i would like the validation to run when a button is pressed (in this case, the calcualtion button). I would like a messagebox to pop up stating there is a non-numerical value entered into any of the boxes and for the calculation code to not run.

I want to be able to see if the values a user inputs into 2 textboxs equals the values assigned to a picture. I put these values in the picture's name and tag. Also the picturebox is getting the image from a random function correlating to an imagelist. How would i go about thisI thought of maybe using a checkbox and coding
If picturebox1.image.tag = ("12") _
and textbox1.text = 1 _
and textbox2.text = 2 Then
checkbox1.checked = true
unfortunatly when i debug it says the picturebox1.image.tag = Nothing

I figured it out without useing parameters, but that error message tip did help me figure it out. Ok so ive been trying to just insert a string into a MySQL database, heres the code for it its very simple. Its just not working need help to get this to work before i can move on textboxes. I get the cannot connect erroer each time i do it.

I want my code to look at a textbox to determine which letter is in it, & assign a numerical value to a second textbox, based on what letter is in the first textbox.[code]The problem is that, when I step through the code, I can see that Form20.txtGrade1.text DOES EQUAL "C", but my code skips over the part that says Form20.txtGrade1a.text = "4". Instead, if I hover over that part, I can read Form20.txtGrade1a.text = " ".When I do not step through the code, and just run it, I see the two textboxes, with the first one containing the C, and the second one is just blank.

Problem: I wanted data input text boxes that only accept numerical values between 0 and 999. I could check for this during a later 'save' routine, but instead preferred to warn the user at the input stage; so I chose masked textboxes - setting the mask to "000". However these boxes appear and behave differently. They have a row of 3 underscores - which I don't want - and also seem more difficult to hit with the cursor. How can I get Masked TextBoxes to appear and behave exactly as normal ones?

I have created a program and would now like to stop users from entering incorrect values/Text inside specific textboxes. For example i would only like text to be entered when a customer name is to be inputted and if a numerical key is pressed a message box will appear saying "sorry letters only" or something in that line. Also waould like it the other way round when trying to enter text within a number only text box.[code]...

I'm creating a calculator in visual basic 2008, and with this calculator I want to implement a feature that can store numerical values in a variable for instance x. Similar to the feature used in most graphing calculator that have the button showing: "STO->". I was thinking on using the My.Settings. But I'm having trouble on it.

I am using a DataGridView that has a filtered dataset and I like to validate a column in a new or changed row via a sub in the partial dataset class so that I can set the errorprovider to an error if the entered value isn't unique.I started out to set the field in SQL server with a unique key and then catch the sqlerror on the form. But data validation is best practice to do in the partial dataset class so I am trying to do it for this particular problem aswell. But after spending a lot of time I am stuck and wonder if it is even possible to do this particular validation in the partial class?

I have a gridview(editable).
It may have more than 1 row with columns startdate and enddate.
StartDate EndDate
4/4/09 6/6/09 (valid-existing row)
1/2/09 3/3/09 (valid-existing row)
7/7/09 9/9/09 (valid- edited row)
3/3/09 6/6/09 (Invalid - edited row )
When you see the above table/gridview, you will know what I want to validate.
I should be checking whether there is any row having start-end dates lying within the existing date range, if so I should invalidate them.
I shd have only distinct date range in my rows.
How do I do that.
May be Useful note: I will be able to check which column name I tried editing in that row.
Do any of you have some ideas how to create a logic to accomodate my validation issue in my webbased gridview control ?

I am writing below code for validating compulsary field account no. in form.User's requirement is set focus back on field when error comes :

It's working properly. But suppose user don't want to fill form and exiting from application.Message box keep on appearing till user enters account no.

I know the title spounds stupid. I will try to explain what I meen. I am trying to make a product key mask. for example: I was able to do this with the MaskTextBox but I want to seperate each line to there own text box For example: [Textbox1] - [Textbox2] - [Textbox3] - [Textbox4] - [Textbox5] I already limited the Textboxs to 5 characters. I am working on an internet cafe program for the desktops. This is how it works, the login files are stored on a ftp server in the form of txt files (E.G. USERNAMEpassword). The files are opened in the background of the program. Then once the login button is clicked, the two text boxes (passwords and username) will combine together and then in the background will look for the username and password as a single line of code.
login.txt:
johndoe12345678
jasmine373249273
jg236219
open a txt file without the open file dialog and to save without the save file dialog.
P.S. I'm using a textbox.

I desided to follow the basic instructions cearfully. I have managed to find my way through the database programming using the odbc class.And I was successfully able to populate records from the database to listviews, treeviews, comboboxs and all sort of controls.Now I am working on phase 2 of my project whitch is writing back to database.... but unfortanilty I did not find a good illustration of how to do that using odbc data adapters.I am trying to send data from textboxs an listviews..
