WebBrowser Control And Ready State

I am using a webbrowser control to login to a website.[code]On successful login I have to navigate to another page. This will happen only if the login is correct. The issue here is as son as the login page is loaded the readystate of webbrowser control becomes complete and even before the I login to website the next line of code gets executed and results in an error as I am not logged in.url...How can I make my application wait for the login to be complete and then execute the above line of code.

After lot of searching I found a working sample showing how to get a HTML page loaded. It works now if I wait until it is finished loading and then press a button to transfer HTML data into string. I tried to use webBrowser1.DocumentCompleted event but it does not fire.My question: How to get the data automatically when it is ready. Or what is wrong in my code.

While navigating to a series of sites at one site the WebBrowser control's DocumentCompleted EVENT is tripped and no other recorded Browser events occur after that. When this happens the hour glass cursor indicates the browser is waiting. From this point it take 120 to 250 seconds of wall clock time before the browser resumes. I am looking for a way to force an abnormal termination without destroying the control. I have tried "Stop", "nav to about:blank" repeatedly without success. How can I force an abnormal termination when the Cntrl is in a wait state?
Consider the following: The last known Browser event to be tripped is a Document Complete event; nothing else occurs after this. When this transpires the Cntrl is waiting.

Essentially what I want to do is copy a WebBrowser object such that I can do the equivalent of "Open In New Tab" or "Open In New Window" actions, maintaining any posted data. I don't just want to navigate to the same URL as in the original WebBrowser object, rather I want to repeat the HttpWebRequest.

Ok everyone knows that you can get the visibility of a control by control.visible...now my question is this: how can i get the visibility of a control without taking parent controls into account ...ie. if i have a button in a picture box ... and the picture box is invisible (even though the button property is visible in the designer) the value returns false.How can i return the visible value for the control that is displayed as it would be in the designer?

I use webbrowser as File Explorer.
If you click folder it opens new folder contents in WB window but if you click html document it opens in EXTERNAL viewer.
How do you get html document to open in WB while exploring ?

I am writing a few web based apps which will require a webbrowser extension. I have already used the IE webbrowser control that uses the trident web rendering engine. I believe this is MSHTML.DLL? Anyway, some of the users of my programs have complained of a few things. Particularily,
1. It seems to be a slow browser, at least compared to other rendering engines out there (webkit and gecko are 2 known ones).
2. On the developer side, it seems to be low in features. The features are sufficient in most cases, but there are some "special" things that I need.
3. It has VERY low HTML (and especially HTML5) compliance.
My question is, how much work would it take to use a different engine (such as webkit .net, which I HAVE heard of) and be able to distribute it easily. Or, if you guys feel ambitious, we could try writing a brand new engine ourselves. I know how big of a job it is, and frankly, I have no clue where to begin. I would just like your thoughts and opinions on the matter.

i have created an app to load an access database into a datagridview, which contains web urls. When button is clicked it webbrowser1 navigates to each url and each webpages document.inertext is put into textbox. This all work fine but after a while the webbrowser navigation becomes increasingly slower.

I Have a web form in a asp.net web form 3.5. The listview has a checkbox on the item template, I am trying to retain the state of the checkboxes through pagination . Once I can page through records and preserver this state I need to send this to a print page which takes those ids...I have this working, but it will print only the records on each pagination. [URL]

Ive tried to edit option on the webbrowser control, example javascript enable/disable. but found out that it uses IE's option and cannot be changed.So my question is: Is there a way to do a "webbrowser" without using the WEbbrowser control that is based on internetexplorer? I have a regular application form with a WebBrowser control.I have strung together a .htm file (from a regular text file) which I then assign to the WebBrowser control. In the html file, I have filenames mentioned.I am trying to string together the html in such a way as to give a clickable link or button that will parse into html and open the corresponding file in another WebBrowser control in VB.I have tried using VBScript and JavaScript to put a button in the html.As long as the function or sub I call is also in the same html document, it works, but I really need to transfer the control back into visual basic where I can do the heavy lifting I need to.can I just not do this as a regular VB application? Any way to do it without adding the complication of requiring ActiveX?

I'm trying to create a Windows Explorer like application, when a flash drive is connected/disconnected the application detects it and does some stuff. This is what I've accomplished so far:

One thing that this code does not do is detect when the driver changes from ready to not ready, e.g. if a CD is removed/ inserted into the optical drive or a memory card is removed/inserted into the card reader. How can I accomplish that?

I've been reading about i18n and how to make my app ready for localization. One thing recommended is to set the NeutralResourceLanguageAttribute in the AssemblyInfo.vb file like such: <Assembly: NeutralResourcesLanguageAttribute("en")>However, when I do that I get 'Type is not defined' Anybody have any clues?

i'm making a program that will be used Only from a CD, not ever downloaded to a PC.I just would like to have the user insert the CD into a CD-Rom Drive, and the program will Auto Start with a Splash Screen, then start/load the first windows form. The form will have some buttons on it for the user to interact with the CD, by either going to other window forms or by downloading exe files or zip files to the user's computer.
Also the form has buttons on it for the user to click on to bring up a PDF to be viewed.I have tried to do the Publish and found that it created a setup.exe...as in I think it wantes to install my program, and my program is not for installing. only viewing and interacting with and maybe downloading files from it, my CD program is never to be installed.I'm pretty sure I need to save or create my program as just an AutoRun, that starts when the CD is inserted and that is all I think needs to be done...so how do I just create a AutoRun Only version of my program, not a setup.exe?I will have a ini file to reference the AutoRun file on the CD, no problem.

i have a NAS drive that is mapped to my system..My application will copy files to the drive but the only problem is the drive has a sleep function on it therefore when i try to copy files to it and it is in sleep mode, it says the folder does not exist (drive still in my computer but just with a red X on it)is there a function to make ir ready ? the only other way to do it is to double click the drive icon in my computer then it wakes up... but id rather not do this as its a pain.

I am developing an application that reads from a network shared folder on a separate Windows Server. When the application attempts to read, I am receiving the error message "System.IO.IOException: The Device Is Not Ready". I have tried running the application as an Administrator, however I still receive the same error.The files in question do not appear to be in use by any other application.
