Does anyone know how I would go about saving usernames and passwords from websites using a webbrowser control?.Like with IE7 you can save your website passwords and stuff and have it automatically entered when you re-visit the site.
View 4 RepliesI have a text box where i am entering numbers of double datatype andon the Keytdown event of the textbox some checks take pace and in certain circumstances I want to be able to stop the user from entering other information until they enter the right information in the textbox (where it says right here) . now when I say exit sub the textbox somehow loses focus . but this is not how I want it to be I want the textbox to remain with the focus so the user can change the information . How can i go about this. And the other thing is why is my txtDestPayRate1.Focus() just befor the exit sub not working?

I am utilizing a webbrowser control in vb.net 2005 to display excel workbooks
We are using this control to open excel documents. Webbrowser.ShowSaveAsDialog() allows the user to save the excel workbook open at any location he wants
However, I don't want the user to decide where to save. Is there any way to save an excel document from the webbrowser control without going through the ShowSaveAsDialog?
On closing of webbrowser, a simple prompt to user whether he/she would like to save changes should be fine enough
As of now, I can close webbrowser control and it does not prompt the user to save the changes. Actually, all changes are lost until and unless I perform a save (Ctrl+S) manually

as you can see, what i've tried is to download the websites source code then find with an index value the information i want. However, how do i get specific information from the website without having to find the information by its index location?
In short, is it possible to use GetElementById without having to use webbrowser1?
I am trying to build a little program, this program has 4 buttons at top with direct links within the website, it works. When the program starts it loads a webpage in the WebBrowser1_
and the comes the login screen, how do I make it auto fill this information username and password and then click go button?
I'm creating a program and i want it to secretly save when the user clicks on save.
In other words, i have made it so that it saves twice. Once for the user to read (like a fancy copy) and another that the program uses to open up the form.
Currently when pushed, 2 save dialog boxes come up after each other. I don't want this to happen. I want 1 to come up (the user friendly, fancy version) which is the easy part, but i also want the other 1 to save automatically and secretly without asking the user to set the destination.
Can I safely move ReferencePath information from a .vbproj.user (or .csproj.user) file into the corresponding project file? Note: All developers will be using developing from the same location on their machines.We'd like to allow users to maintain their own settings for other things, but have this basic info be setup once and checked into source control to be shared to all.

ok so i made it so i could save the information to a XML file but i want it to have multiple entries insted of having loads of files with so little information in them also i want it so if i click edit it would edit the file and one of the entries and load them in the form fields

in my form i have 4 textboxes and i want all not to be empty while saving the data.I have put condition in save button,when user presses the save button to save data, to check all the textboxes not to be empty. My question is that, i want to focus to that particular textbox which is empty during saving the data.

But for example all USB drives are on different names like G, E, and F, they all vary so how do I make my keylogger save the information in a .txt on the usb.

i have two forms and two database tables in sql. my problem is that, in one form(form1) i can save information to another form (form2) but in form2 can't able to resend data back to form1.
Am using dataAdapters and dataSet to load the data into application.

I'm writing software in VB .NET (2005) which uses the Windows user information as login credentials - just the username. I've found Environment.UserName which works for the username (as you would expect).However, I need more information - I need the full name of the user (as shown on the Start Menu). It seems this information is stored... somewhere, as Windows is able to use it for things like permissions on file shares.
View 1 RepliesI have an app where users form up an e-mail by filling out various fields. They give the form the data, then the e-mail is assembled in the background from all the data they put into the form. Pretty straightforward.
I've added a "Preview" button. When they click, I want a box to pop up and show them what their e-mail will look like when they send it.
I can use MessageBox.Show but these e-mails can get pretty long and as best I understand it, there's no way to control the MessageBox.Show size, word-wrap or add a scroller; so this isn't really appropriate to the overall task.
That said, the information IS all concatenated into a single string with CrLf and such in there for most fields. I just need something that I can send this to and have it create the output window at size X with auto-word-wrap and scroller.
Is there a straightforward way to do this in VB.Net 2010?

When I enter on the program, I Register the Username 1. I type the information on the Textboxs Form Login and I enter to the Form Information.In the Form Information, i type some information on the textboxs, Save and I get out.Enter the program again, Register another Username 2, Type information on the Textboxs Form Login and I enter to the Form Information, and I see the Information that I typed on the Username 1..and here's the problem...how can i fix it?
