I wanted to know how I would go about coding a website form controller in vb.net?I want to be able to connect to a website then enter a username and password by only entering the username and password and then pressing a login button on the windows form. View 3 RepliesI have a form in my project with a textbox that contains a unique computer ID number for the user. I want the user to click a button, which will open my website, and then populate the value from my software into a corresponding computerID form on my website.
The form on my website is just a paypal form that I built using paypal's website builder. It has a buy it now button and a textfield for computer ID. I need to know the computerID so that I can send the user the correct activation code.
Is there any way for me to accomplish this? All I have so far is just opening my site:

I have a basic Windows form with one Crystal Reports form veiwer control on it. When ran on the development machine it displays the report fine.After build and publish the application is now installed on a user PC. I am getting an error that the Crystal Decisions. Windows. Form version 12.0.2000.0 can not be found. All the Crystal dll's are in the install directory but none of them are being installed in the install machines GAC.Am I setting my publish output up wrong, may references wrong, or is the local GAC files the problem. The message is so criptic, it doesnt really point me in the right direction.

So how to enter the username/password in popup windows.

View 4 RepliesI'm trying to create a windows user control project that has a textbox placed on it.I want the textbox to fill the user control window.I've built the control and added it to another project, but it isn't behaving the way I want it too.When I drag and drop the control from the toolbox onto a windows form and try to resize it, because the textbox.multiline property has been set to True, the Textbox resizes horizontaly and not vertically (just like normal textboxes do) however the underlying user control window resizes which is undisireable. How can I get the user control window to stop doing this.

For the past couple of days I have been using Visual basic 2008 and learning it.Anyway, I am trying to make a login form that will login to a website with WebBrowser control.and I am noticing that the webbrowser is extremly slow, it takes him about 20 seconds to load a page while mozilla opens it in a moment, why is that?

View 3 RepliesI created a custom user control named "XYZ" and It is avaialble at the toolbox menu in the design mode and I can drag and drop it to a vb.net Windows form. What I really want is to dynamically to add this user control to the Windows form during the Windows form load event. Actually I want to add this user control to a "split container" named "sc_1" on the tab page named "tp_1" on a tab control named "tc_1" on a Windows form. View 1 RepliesI have a VB windows application and I need a way to control input output from this windows application to a batch file.The batch script is quite complex so converting to a VB console application is out of the question because it will too much time.An simplified example is this:I have this batch file test.bat(just for example)

In this batch file the user input the name which is then stored in a variable and after the user press enter on the screen will appear Hello + user input.

The best solution for me would to be to actually open the workbook on my form (not sure that is possible?), the next best solution would be to fill the spreadsheet control.
View 1 RepliesI have a customer which as a Visual Basic Project in single instance mode with a wired presentation logic.
The main form contains a TabControl with mutliple TabPages.If I click on TabPageA another form is shown in front of the Form and resized to have the same size as the TabPage.
If I click on TabPageB the first form is hidden and another form is displayed.So basically for the user it looks like you have a TabControl with different TabPages which is not the case.
I tried converting the Forms to UserControls and put them inside the TabPage, but, thanks to the SingleInstance app, this would take a whole lot of refactoring. I tried it but eventually gave up because of many many runtime errors and I don't want to put any more effort in this.
I have a WebBrowser control in my VB.NET application that loads a PHP page inside it. On the PHP page I have a 'Log Out' hyperlink. What I'm trying to do is close the VB.NET form when that hyperlink is clicked.

The panels contain some buttons on the click of which i want to display some forms. But I want thoes forms to act like children of the user control i.e. like MDi Parent - Child (here parent being User control and child being the new forms which would be opening). View 5 RepliesI'm trying to create my own control to build a custom planning on it.After trying it with loose controls I got an error but after advice on my previous post, I redraw everything.I have now the header of the control finished, the header shows the days of the month for as many months that fit in the window.Now I want to put the list of data below it, but it will be more than the windows height, so I need to have a scroll bar that will scroll the data but not the header.I would not like to design my own scrollbar and rather use the scrollbar control for it, but when I put it in, I cannot use the NEW keyword.example:

I'd like to use a TreeView control to display database data in a windows form with VB2008. All the information what I found is related to a website design, but I'm working on a database program (sql2005), where I'd like the user to see the structure what he/she make up with a TreeView like control. Just something like that when you explore your hard disk. How can I do that?

I have my forms all set up, I want a button on my main form that says Volume. When clicked it either opens a window above the current form with a volume control. Or opens another form that has the volume control in the center. When the slider is moved up to 100% windows is at 100% volume, when moved down windows volume moves down also.
