Save Word Document Open On WebBrowser Control In Winfrom?
May 14, 2009I am using webbrwoser control to open Word document for editing on winform using vb.net. (vs 2005). Now once user edit the word document, I want to forcefully save that edited document to my document when user directly close win form or user will try to EXIT. Unfortunately, word doc which open on webbrowser control if it is edited and when winfrom is being closed it won't ask us to save where as independent word document aske to save changes. I tried to call method "ShowSaveasDialog()" of webbrowser control on winform close event it did not fire up.

Does For Loop Use Index Set When Adding Panel
Feb 15, 2012I have a parent panel with child panels that contain images. I am looping through the panels to save the images in the order the panels appear in the parent panel. [code] I can also re-arrange the panels via mouse. The problem is that when they are rearranged, they do not retain their order when saved.. They simply are saved in the order they were added to the parent panel.So my question is, does the for loop use the index set when adding the panel? If so, how can I manipulate the index in runtime while arranging the panels via mouse.

Oct 19, 2009I use drag'n'drop from a datagridview to a panel. The panel holds an array of objects (think rows) so that the items from the datagridview can be dragged to the different objects. I use the y-index from the top of the panel to define what object the item is dragged onto.This works great as long as the object is visible from the start. However, if I scroll down to an object and then drag the item from the dgv, it gets released on the wrong object, as the y-index doesn't take into account the number of pixels I scrolled down. So, what I need is (if it exists) the scroll offset property for the panel, i.e., the number of pixels that I scrolled down. (Then I can add this offset integer to the y coordinate on which the user drops his/her object.)

Jul 9, 2009I'm trying to make a label control transparent over a Panel control.However by setting the background colour of the label to Transparent, it actually sees right through to the form itself, not the panel as intended.
As an example we use a panel with a background as white, we make the label transparent, however it gets the form�s colour as blue.However, we are using a custom panel control and need the label to be transparent over the panel and not see the forms background.

Mar 15, 2010I've got a Panel on a main Form containing a PictureBox control on Top of a TableLayout control. Both the child controls have their docking properties set to Top. The Picture control has sizemode set to Zoom.
What I'm finding is that the picture doesn't size properly when I start the app. There is a border at the top and bottom in the PictureBox control. It's only when I resize the overall form that it's correct.
So at the moment I've got this ugly bit of startup code, just to fix the problem Me.WindowState = FormWindowState.Normal Me.WindowState = FormWindowState.Maximized
What am I missing?

Using a 'watch' I can see the tab names and the tabname (my.forms.sessions. groupbox1. controls (tabnum).name is often the incorrect one.

Dec 26, 2009I populated a form with several progress bars and added a function to handle a click event via AddHandler. The event fires and I have been able to do things with the control using the passed object 'sender', but I can't for the life of me determine what the index of the control is in the array.
Why is that important to me? Because I want to click the control, have a container of textboxes become visible, and populate them with data from the reference in my database based on what control was clicked, and update that data as needed. Making the container of textboxes visible, and even moving it based on the location of the clicked control in the array are all done and working fine. I just can't seem to get the index of the control.
I need to know what entry (progress bar in this case) was clicked. In the function, I can even do things with a select progress bar using something like pb(x).value = some integer, but I'm trying to find out what 'X" is when the click event fires.

Now I need to use it and make it fade in and out. This is a panel containing typical play, stop, FF, REW controls over a media player. Just like Windows Player or VLC, I want the panel containing the controls to fade out on mouse leave and fade in on mouse enter.

I want the program to go through the dollar amounts entered in the textboxes and put the subtotal in a class level variable (dcSumOfExpenses). However, when the debugger passes through this Sub, objControl always shows a value of Nothing, and the Count of pnlExpenses.Controls always shows a zero. What is my code missing? The panel was added to a tabpage at design time, and the labels and textboxes were laid on top of the panel. Do I need to do something more to establish the panel's controls as a collection?

Aug 10, 2009[URL]..I cannot seem to get a regular panel control to anchor Left/Top/Right while place in a FlowLayoutPanel which is docked to a Form. It defaults to a Left/Top position and I cannot seem to get it to anchor to the Right as well either by code or by manual input in the Properties window.
Does this imply that there is an issue with my VS Studio 2008 Express?
