Forms :: Panel Offset Index Property?

I use drag'n'drop from a datagridview to a panel. The panel holds an array of objects (think rows) so that the items from the datagridview can be dragged to the different objects. I use the y-index from the top of the panel to define what object the item is dragged onto.This works great as long as the object is visible from the start. However, if I scroll down to an object and then drag the item from the dgv, it gets released on the wrong object, as the y-index doesn't take into account the number of pixels I scrolled down. So, what I need is (if it exists) the scroll offset property for the panel, i.e., the number of pixels that I scrolled down. (Then I can add this offset integer to the y coordinate on which the user drops his/her object.)

In my vb.net project, i am using tab control and some DGVWs, command buttons. i use to dynamically place these controls into a tab page and set the autoscroll proprty to true. once the scroll bar grown and when i try to scroll down the bar to view the bottom most controls, the scroll bar automatically retriving back to its original position. i have to click 2 or 3 times in the bottom of the tap page and scroll again to view the bottom most control. i am unable to figure out using the offset property of scroll bar.

I have a parent panel with child panels that contain images. I am looping through the panels to save the images in the order the panels appear in the parent panel. [code] I can also re-arrange the panels via mouse. The problem is that when they are rearranged, they do not retain their order when saved.. They simply are saved in the order they were added to the parent panel.So my question is, does the for loop use the index set when adding the panel? If so, how can I manipulate the index in runtime while arranging the panels via mouse.

[URL]..I cannot seem to get a regular panel control to anchor Left/Top/Right while place in a FlowLayoutPanel which is docked to a Form. It defaults to a Left/Top position and I cannot seem to get it to anchor to the Right as well either by code or by manual input in the Properties window.
Does this imply that there is an issue with my VS Studio 2008 Express?

Why does a Panel control have a Font property? What does it affect? Any controls added to the panel will have their own Font property that controls their appearance, so I don't see the point of the panel control having a Font property, especially since it has no text property.

may i know why I can't locate the index property for the radio button in VB.NET? This is because for my existing project which is converted from VB6, there is existing 4 radio buttons with indexes. And now I want to add one more radio button with index 5, but I can't find the index property for the newly added button. The VB.NET treat it as a new button.

I need to develop a function called SetComboBox that accepts the category(ies) in the ComboBox as a string and returns an integer indicating the index position of the category in the ComboBox. The function is supposed to set the category in the ComboBox Selected Index property to match the string category stored in a database for an inventory item.

I am stumped on this one. I have a panel (pnlKeyPad) that won't change the visible property when I try to set it to True. But when I try to set the Dock Property to DockStyle.Fill it succeeds. I have tried them in different orders, setting the parent property to the splitpanel and nothing seems to fix it. The panel is on a splitpanel that is visible. The panel is set to visible = false by default.
Any ideas of why this panel won't switch to visible when I specifically set it to visible?[code]...

I have a page that is based on a Master Page. The page has AJAX contolled tabs and on one tab I have 2 panels, each with 1 button. Only 1 panel is visible at a time. I am trying to get the button on the visible panel to be the DefaultButton so that when Enter is pressed the click event is fired off. The issue that I am having is that I get this error no matter what I try: The DefaultButton of 'form1' must be the ID of a control of type IButtonControl.I have tried setting the Default Button property of the panel to the buttons client id and to its unique id.

I would like to format output to a property of a custom control I have made.For instance I have a literal control in my control and when populated I want to check if it is longer than 30 characters long, if so, then go to the next space (as to not cut the word off) after the 30th character and place a <br /> tag in to place the next 30 characters on the next line.So if there were 100 characters in a string, there would be 3 line breaks in the label.I have the looping worked out to get the label populated but cannot get how to dymaically create the array based on the string lenth property and index of method.

This should probably be a different topic, but the reason I was cutting/pasting is that I have a split panel form. I dock a toolstrip to the top of one panel, and then add a datagridview control. I set it to dock to parent, and it does, but goes under the toolstrip, hiding the top of the grid and scrollbar. Not acceptable of course. Is there a setting that I'm missing?
