In VB.Net, how do I make a program to tap into the HTTP requests made by external web browsers? I don't want to edit or stop the headers, only 'read' them, i.e., access its contents. I'm speaking of something like Fiddler2, but I only want the 'reading' part. I also want to read the user-agent.

I have a server making a head request to a database dump I've created. The remote server does this to make sure that it's not using excessive bandwidth when not necessary.However, due to some other circumstances outside my control this causes the script to be hit twice: once for the head request, and then another time to download the data.
What I'd like is to have the script I've written detect the head request, send back a couple of headers (e.g. last modified is right now, filesize different than before), and exit. Is there a way to do this?

There is a noticable delay in responding to the request at the other end (the receiver) but this is outside my control. I am trying to ensure that the process of sending is as efficient as possible (external factors notwithstanding).

i try to hack dom of webpage and scrap url form it but i found that the url is created by javascript variable.
i use SHDocVw to access current internet explorer and list the open websites and it works !but how can i access other browsers like mozilla or safari or ... to get open websites ?

I don't use a dgv, but rather I connect directly to access and when a text field has text in it, it takes that text and searches, and updates various text boxes with the according information (finds a row, and takes all the data in the columns and adds it into their respective box). There are approximately 5-7 text boxes being used at the same time, and only a few will be changed.
How would I go about updating and saving through the VB program?

I have a MS Access database file that I can view with a DataGridView, but I can not save the changes made. User should be able to modify data, and when pressing the "Save" button, these changes should be reflected on the database. The web browser in vb.net is using IE or maybe its not even a web browser. Maybe its the primitive browser in windows that came before IE. Is it possible to change the browser that is used by the vb.net web browser (dragged from the toolbox)? Maybe through the add reference?

I'm using VB.net. I need to create an application that sits in between the browser and the actual internet. Basically, I'm creating an online game that will edit some webpages that are incoming so that they contain parts of the game (it's a kind of scavenger hunt). How would I create this?
Does anybody have any ideas for this? I've found nothing online. If you do know something about this, I prefer code examples and not just subjects. I tend to need big pushes in a direction to learn something new.
In our application, when you go to "Menu > Help...", it opens our help files in Internet Explorer, which is the desirable effect. However, we have the shortcut key "F1" set to open the help files as well. It still opens the help in Internet Explorer... but it also opens them up at the same time in the user's default web browser![code]...

I have an application I made to monitor IP cameras. Right now I just have a button for each camera, so that when they want to swithc to that camera, all the user has to do is click the button to switch to that camera.What I would like to do is set it up so that I have multiple web browsers on the form, each one for a camera. However, the problem is that the actual video feed is in a small section of the web page, so the user would have to scroll to the right position for each web browser to be able to see the video feed.What I want to do is configure it so that when the page loads, it automatically scrolls to the right position so the user can see the camera feed for each camera (each in it's own independent browser) without having to adjust each browser.

I have a website and say a user comes along and fills out the form with bogus data. Then after he fills it out, he enters another one and another one and another one of bogus data. He's basically just trying to clog up the data base.
How is the best way to combat this? Would it make sense to when they submit the data track the IP address?
