Jul 25, 2009

I'm a beginner level developer and I'm having some trouble in extracting the the link description out of a string that contains a html webpage.

Code:
Dim r As Regex

r = New Regex("hrefs*=s*(?:""(?<1>[^""]*)""|(?<1>S+))", RegexOptions.IgnoreCase Or RegexOptions.Compiled)
m = r.Match(sInputstring)

[Code]...

This code gives me all the links in the string and puts them in the listbox but how do I go about retrieving the description for it? (the text between the <a href=" "> and </a> )

Asp.net - Creating A Conditional Link In Html Apsx Page?

Oct 4, 2011

I am trying to create a link in a user area of my website. After logging in, the users info is passed to the allow access to specific areas of the site. What I would like to do is create an html link that is controlled by a conditional statement.

for example, after a user logs in, I want to check whether they have credentials to click on a link which will allow them to advance to something new. If they don't have the credentials, the link will be blocked out or not appear at.I am looking for a place to start on this task, any documentation or keywords would be helpful. Also code samples would help greatly.

Read Part Of An HTML Link And InvokeMember-Click?

Jun 18, 2012

I would like to invoke a click on a link from a link that is generated by an HTML query. I am attempting to program an application that queries a website and am getting hung up where I download the .csv that is loaded by the website.[url]...

cansim9170974256855749928 from the url is not static and I don't know how to work around this. I thought that this link would be helpful and should be except there is no link ID to reference. Is there a way to enable a clicking event on a random csv link? I have mashed together some failing attempts at this off and on for some time now and am now in your hands.

HTML - Encoding A Field Within A Gridview?

Apr 4, 2012

I have some of these events in my gridview custom coded. But the real issue here is that I store a previous record, that is, the record that was being changed, or the old.value and I store it in another column. So when the user enters say "< newValue >" without the quotes, the aspx validator rejects the input as dangerous.

I can disable the validation, and html encode the value as it gets written to the db, but when I display the value back in the gridview in the "Previous Value" column it appears like this...&lt Neutral &gt semi-colons missing because this site decodes.How I can encode and decode inline in ASPX?How can I encode this template field that is getting entered into a gridview?

<EditItemTemplate>
<asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("lang_String") %>'></asp:TextBox>
</EditItemTemplate>

allow certain html characters to be entered into this field only without turning off validation for the entire site.I do need this to apply to the entire column.

Visual Basic 2008 Click Html Buttons, Clicking URL Link, VB Automating Web Browser Control

I'm new to visual basic & have learned many new things in such a short period of time from being on the MSDN forums. I have learned particularly in the subject of automating web browsing control using the getattributes etc., but I have tried everything that I have seen in the forums to auto click the "Settings" link in a created gmail account and then have the browser automate the "Forwarding" to another gmail address. I haven't found a solution anywhere to accomplish this.

So here is an account to try out in which this should only take a few mins to a veteran coder:

Html Source Code Doesn't Show Html But In Firebug Inspect Element Html Is There?

Jan 10, 2012

This may sound really stupid but I have to ask cause I'm not finding this answer anywhere.I have an application where the user will need to sign up for a new user account on the website [URL]..However when I am using Firefox's plug-in Firebug to view html I am getting something totally different than when I just right click on the site and view the page source.

What I am trying to do is to get the captcha from the website and display it in a picturebox on the application so the user can view the captcha, solve the captcha and then the app post is back to the service for a response.

Here is the source that I am getting using Firefox's Firebug to inspect the element:

<td>
<input type="hidden" value="Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK" name="iden">
<img class="capimage" src="/captcha/Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK.png" alt="i wonder if these things even work">
</td>

[Code]...

Why would the two be showing me two different versions of the HTML?

And how would you be able to grab that source to view in a picturebox using webclient?

Sending An HTML Email, Where The HTML Comes From An HTML File .Net/ClickOnce Environment?

Jun 20, 2009

Usage: Users create pretty HTML news letters in another app. They post the newsletter to the web, but they also want to set the contents of the HTML news letter file as the body of an email and send it using Application In Question. The users understand to use absolute link and image references when sending an E Newsletter. Environment:

AIQ is a VB.Net app deployed via ClickOnce. It is an intranet app; one can be sure MS Office 2003 and the interop 11 dlls are on the target machines.

Restrictions: MAPI is out. It mangles the HTML. Since it is a ClickOnce deployment, we can't register dlls (I think, correct me if I am wrong). Therefore CDO and COM is out (again, I may be wrong.... I would be happy to be proven so).

Why Is WPF-Button Not Clickable

Transparent But Clickable Button?

Apr 29, 2009

I monitor door cameras with a third party application that gives me multiple video windows for the various video inputs in the card. I want to create an application that will overlay the video windows so that each video window becomes a button I can click on to trigger some events (lock release for example).

I've managed to get something working by using the TransparencyKey of the form set to the backcolor of my button. I though I had it done, a great transparent button in the form, and handles all my click. However, there's a little issue with portability... it won't work if I have the Windows Classic theme enabled.

One of my systems is locked down with the windows classic theme. With the Windows classic theme (whether running XP or Vista), the transparency works a little too well, the mouse clicks actually go through to the underlying window and the click event never gets triggered on my application's button.

Button1.BackColor = Color.Cyan Me.TransparencyKey = Button1.BackColor

Clickable Area That Is Transparent / Colorless

Oct 10, 2009

I want a clickable area (that can handle MouseClickEvent, DoubleClickEvent, etc...) that is transparent, hence you can look through it.For example: I have Form1 with a bunch of buttons, text fields, etc. I want a clickable area that is over the whole Form1 (thus over all the buttons, etc).If you click this area, the clickEvent for this area should be could and not the eg: button underneath this area.Most importantly of all the area must be transparent, thus all the buttons, textfields, etc underneath the clickable area should be visible. Something like a panel or pictureBox that you could put over the buttons would be fine, but a if you drag a panel/pictureBox over a button, the button is invisible, and if you say send to back, the event of the button will be called and not that of the clickable area.I want the blue area (in this case a picture box) over ALL the buttons and textboxes, so that if you click this blue area a function should be called. This area should actually not be blue, but transparent/colourless, so that you can see the buttons underneath. If I say send the picturebox behind the buttons, then when I click on a button, the button's function is called and not the picture box's function as I want it.It is impossible for me to change all the event handlers of the buttons/textboxes etc, because I also use components that don't have the necessary event handlers that I want.
