May 24, 2012In my form I have a text box (txtJobNo) , a Find button and a dtagridview to display the record for a unique JobNumber. Everything works fine to retrieve data, my problem is the display part in the datagrid view, it replaced the first record. I want to keep all records in place until I am done and then insert all those records in a new table. Please HELP. Please find my code below:

May 25, 2009i'm working on a desktop application in vb.net, using vs 2005 and mssql 2005. i want to refresh the pages everytime i insert a record, but i only succeeded by having a load button where user has to click everytime they add a record to view the new record. Is there any way(s) to auto refresh those pages?

The one area I am have a problem is PositionItem. I would like to sense that the User has changed the Record Number in the BindingNavigatorPositionItem, handle my record Update, and move to the Record Number the User entered I have looked all over and have not found any way to do this.

Mar 9, 2010This code uncompresses 1/4 of the gzipped file. & I took it directely from the help file sample function codes.Any idea why is it doing this or how to fix it? gz file is attached below & it is not damaged.Edit: I read some stuff hire & there & found this: tutorial that says that MSDN doesn�t set the size of the array and uses a default size of 4086 bytes. But I have no clue how to implement it into my code.In this gz file there are only around 50 lines but there are files with over 1000 lines. So I tested & indeed this seems to be the problem, because if I increase the buffer(4096) more lines are extracted.

how it works: first the user will get a form with many buttons: courses, doctors, exams, and exam report. second if the user click over exam report, a new form will appear with many columns. this form should has exam course - exam day - exam time - 3 doctors name who will observe the students.

Nov 6, 2010I have a DataGridView where Cell_Validating is being done. I have a Cancel button on my form that allows the user to exit out of the DataGridView changes. The problem is that if a cell was currently flagged as in error, I cannot exit and remove columns from the DataGridView. I get the following error: Operation did not succeed because the program cannot commit or quit a cell value change. Sep 10, 2007I am having problems adding a new row to a datagridview control in my form. I have a simple formwith a textbox, a button and a datagridview. When the user types in an item number and clicks on the button, the system will populate the datagridview with the relevant data from the database.All these works fine but, when the user tries to add another record, the first record added to the datagridview is cleared off the datagridview before the next record is displayed. I would like the datagridview to add all the records without clearing the screen. The datagridview is not bounded to the database.

Feb 17, 2011It's been a good few years since I dabbled in VB and I'm very very rusty so any help would be great! What I'm looking to do is search an access database with user input and display the relevant record.I have a single table set up in an access database called school_info with the following fields and data:

I've linked the database to my new project, connected the database and added the 4 fields to my form. When I run it, the data shows in the boxes fine.The Tres and DfE fields are show in text boxes on the VB form, and the school and Type are show in labels. What I really want to do is be able to manually type in either a Tres or DfE number into the relevant text field and have the other labels auto populate with the relevant data that's stored in the database table.

Then value of the selected checkbox runs though the IF statement and matchs with the option in the IF statement.
