View 4 RepliesHave you ever seen the whitish glow around the titlebar text in Vista? You know, the feathering around the text that makes it stand out from the Aero glass? Well if you haven't, look at the picture in the attachment. Does anyone have an idea as to how I may reproduce it, specifically draw it around some text on the Aero glass? I already know that the Aero glass can be implemented using some APIs in dwmapi.dll. Are APIs for the glow also in that dll? I'm unable to find any info on how to do this in the official documentation.

View 2 RepliesI'm having trouble getting an naero glass code which works properly. I hav ecome across many in which anything black becomes aero aswell. Is it possible to have the black text unaffected by the aero like, change it so that another colour becomes aero instead?Also this is just an extra but can you change the colour of the aero you have? Like default is blue change you change it to like yellow, or black or another colour?

Combo table Name : TblPosition
Data entry Table : EmployeeList (with EmpId, EmpName, Position, BasicSalary) fields.
i know how to add items to a list box box if all controls are on one form but for space reasons i'm adding items/urls into a text box on form2 then when i click OK the items are supposed to be saved/stored in the checked list box on my main form.
View 5 RepliesI have a 3rd windows form opened and I have 2 textboxes to add Username and Password as well as a button that says add account. Username is named as Email2 and Password is named as Pass2 and the button is addaccount2. The forms are named Form 1 Form 2 and Form 3. I have a listview in form2 that has columns with names and im trying to get it to when you fill in the info on Form3 the username and pass and click the Add account button it will put it in the listview box but I would like it to be so username would be under the username column and password to be under password column under Form2 in the listview.

The results could be exported into excel or a screen. ( after selecting the client in the form , another button for export )
What I want to do, for one, is record audio through a microphone input, then play it back with only a few milliseconds delay. Maybe a way to do this would be to record, say, 200 milliseconds, save it to a temp folder, play it, then delete and repeat? I don't know. Would my idea work? Second, I want to use a VST dll file as an effect on this audio. I have absolutely no clue as to how I could do this. (Third one is optional, not really needed, but would be nice. you don't have to answer this third one) Third, I want to minimize the feedback. An idea of mine is maybe a frequency cut off, anything above avg human voice frequencies?
View 2 RepliesI have a picturebox that has a semi-complex image on it and also has a series of other pictureboxes, most of which are set to not visible. The way the program works, the user can click and drag a couple different items on the parent picturebox. The things they can drag are not actual controls, but parts of the image itself. That is all working fine. While testing, I had all of the subordinate pictureboxes (there are a variable number of them) visible showing a black background. I have now improved their implementation, so I changed the display so that only the subordinate pictureboxes that actually have something in them are visible. For all the others, they have .Visible = False.
The problem is that when I click and drag on one of the items in the parent picturebox, all the invisible pictureboxes become visible. They have no image in them, so they take on the color of the backgroud behind the parent picturebox. This is undesirable. I want the invisible pictureboxes to remain invisible during the drag and drop action. The one solution that seems promising is to set the image of all those pictureboxes to some transparent image such that, though they are visible, they will not appear as anything. A bit of testing shows that this technique would work.
How would I achieve a drop shadow effect around all edges of my Form?
