Adding Multiple TextBoxes To A Form (control Array)?
Jun 18, 2012I've tried following the Microsoft instructions to add multiple Textboxes to my form, but just cannot get it to work.Thus, I've deleted everything I wrote, so I don't have code to post. Is there a very simple way to add multiple TextBoxes to a form and be able to index them? If it's too lengthy, Is there a workaround?

Jun 27, 2011i have the following piece of code: txtGrandTotal.Text = Val(textbox1.Text) + Val(textbox2.Text) + Val(textbox3.Text) If the numbers entered into textboxes1,2 and 3 are positive integers it all works fine, but if for example the following happens i get unexpected results textbox1 has the number 3, textbox2 has -1 and textbox3 has 6. I expect the result to be 8 (3-1=2 + 6) = 8 Instead I get 14. I understand the concept of precedent but how do I set it if I don't know if the number entered into textbox is positive or negative?

Jun 10, 2012i have several forms each with a specific pet. i want to be able to have the user press buy and then the price of the pet will be added to the reciept form. lets say dog1 is $400.
dbldog1 = 400
dblsubtotal = dblsubtotal + dbldog1
on reciept form i would have
lblsubtotal = dblsubtotal
but then it will not show as 400.
SQL Performance Timeouts - Adding Multiple Rows In Multiple Tables In The Database
Sep 12, 2011I have a vb.net web application and when a particular function runs , i get data timeouts in the rest of the application..(ie..row not found errors or column does not belong to table but it does) The function is adding multiple rows in multiple tables in the database and is running in a for loop. It seems to be all SQL related but I am not seeing anything in the error logs in SQL or in the application Right now I am assuming it is memory related where to start note..the for loop will be replaced with a bulk insert but right now I jest need to resolve the issue of the timeouts

I need to add a new group box filed with a few textboxes and a couple comboboxes for each entry in a access 2010 database. for example if i had someone called bob in my database with his details i would like the GUI of the VB app to add in a new textbox for the name, a textbox for the address ect in a set order, this needs to work for multiple entry's so the textboxes ect don't overlap but be placed neatly below the added textbox.

VS 2010 Adding Spell Check Functionality To Textboxes?

I know that i can use comparative operators to check the values are different, but i am using 6 different textboxes, and don't fancy typing. [Code] 36 times over, could somebody point me in the right direction for an easy way of checking that 6 textboxes hold different values. Also, as a sidenote, i would like to know if there is a way to check if all 6 are numeric in an easier way than typing is-numeric(textbox1).

I have a form with 5 text boxes, if you click in the first textbox and press the tab key it jumps to the next textbox.
so lets say I copy data from notepad :

and click on the first textbox on the form and press paste, it will only paste the first line.
Is there a way to add that "tab" character to the end of each line, so when I paste the data, it will automatically fill all the texboxes?
I know this is possible in browsers with plugins, but i want to do this onto an existing windows form which code I am not allowed to change.

Feb 17, 2011how to change multiple textboxes without calling each specific name. I have about 10 textboxes and would like to change their maxlength based on the following conditions.
1- If the user select decimal i would like to limit the maxlength to 3 on all the 10 textboxes at once versus individually changing each textbox maxlength.

May 31, 2012I have my menustrip with the standard edit items. I know I can do this:

Oct 17, 2009I'm not sure how to do the following (in VB.NET), I'm hoping you will give me some insight or examples on how it can be done. My database is an SQL one.I have an assets table, which in it has the amount, growth percentage, income percentage. There are multiple assets per client.
I need to get the amount, growth and income into three separate boxes or variables and I'm not quite sure how to do this. The only other problem is that there would be two or three rows returned also, which need to have those three variables or textboxes again.
So for x amount of rows, I need 3 variables which the amount, growth and income will go into.
The reason I need everything into variables is that I can't find an effective way of showing each assets growth over x amount of years and the income it will produce into a data grid view. I'm able to do it if I specify what the growth and income are on the form, but not through the query.
